  1. I have since fed once with 1ml per litre of Grow, Micro (soft) and Bloom respectively. This is now the full dose as recommended on the bottle. I have also continued to add some extra silicon at a strength of 6% SiO2 at a dose of 0.5ml per litre. I have not taken any leaves or even the cotyledons off yet. I am now eyeing when to repot to the final 17L container and also when to do the first topping to begin the mainline. Might actually top as soon as tomorrow or the next day.

  3. @CreX this soaker hose would be a bomb in your tubs.
  4. What are you referring to? Edit: If it's the irrigation system it is all Blumat products. Guide to BluSoak Drip Tape | Irrigation Equipment
  5. Progress! Just since watered once with plain pH 5.8 water.
  6. Snap I just remembered something important, I'm pretty sure most seedbanks sell seeds as souvenirs in South Africa and actually state that it is not their intention to sell seeds for the purposes of germination. They do this to get out of whatever grey area they might find themselves in (like if someone tries to send CPA after them for "faulty" seeds). So ja that's totally out the window then. CPA does not apply.
  7. It's actually a valid question the more I think about it, especially when things in the cannabis industry become much more legitimised and regulated. Does the CPA cover seeds? Traditionally the onus is on the grower to make sure they germinate their seeds properly and to spend their cash on breeders/seedbanks that are reliable. Usually just following this step will not only get you quality beans but in the event that you are disappointed with the germination rate, you'd probably be sorted out by the breeder/seedbank anyways. Food and therefore "seeds" in the general sense are in fact covered right now by the CPA. You buy raw chicken from KFC, you get a refund. That isn't really disputed. If you buy cannabis seeds and non of them germinate, do you have a claim? If reading the CPA objectively, it seems like it, but I can only imagine the can of worms that would be opened if that claim worked out. Are the CPA going to chase a seedbank over a couple hundred rands worth of seeds? Probably not. This is why most businesses in this instance either just give the refund or a replacement item because the social media frenzy would be worse than whatever pitiful fine the CPA could come up with. Point is, the cannabis industry is still in it's infancy in South Africa and making expectations that the CPA covers cannabis seeds is a stretch. Just buy more seeds from another trusted dude and if you're really sour over a few hundred bucks then my bruh you've got other issues I think you gotta deal with first, this isn't exactly a cheap hobby.
  8. Every time I do my rounds you've already beaten me to it.
  9. Jooooooh this takes me back. I thought I could get away with a 400W HPS in a 80x80 tent when I first started and that also gave me a big hiding. If you are rolling a 600W I'd go as big as 1.2m x 1.2m with maybe an air-cooled hood/tube.
  10. As @Twix Aphen says. I should have clarified and said I was using the same nutes in soil as in coco, so if you are using organic nutes I do not think it would do the business. I believe diatomaceous earth when sprinkled as a fine layer on soil can provide a dose of silicon as well as provide a moment of pest reduction.
  11. Silica is incredibly alkaline. Whenever I use it I make sure to pH the solution back to reasonable levels, even before adding any nutrients. I have used silica in both coco and soil without issue, usually just for veg to give the plants a boost in immunity and never the max dose.
  12. Minor update, The One is going strong. Two sets of leaves coming along nicely. I've fed again using the same doses as above. The air is quite dry at the moment so I've felt like I've needed to water slightly more than what I'm used to with seedlings.
  13. Negative. I've successfully done the tinctures but without using the roots and when I get around to doing topical balms I'd like to use the roots for that.
  14. I'm just picturing a lot of stoned naked dudes in a cottage pointing at each other.

I've been having this problem too @420SA What I have found is that since the last theme update, the site forces the orientation of an uploaded image according to the original metadata of the image. So if say you have screen rotation "off" on your cellphone, and take a horizontal photo while the phone thinks it's taking a vertical photo, even after rotating the image in Gallery it will refuse to be uploaded vertically, so the image is sideways like yours. How I've gotten around it is to change the metadata of the image through an image design program such as Gimp. That seems to sort it, but it's a long winded effort.
  16. IMO the ultimate goal for soil is to have a large and deep enough single bed that you can reamend and occasionally top-up with more soil whenever plants/roots are removed, no nutrients at all. Getting this right can be a challenge if doing it DIY, and although ultimately saves you the most in the end, it can also end terribly. So I hope the Orgasoilux can do the job because that would be super great. In the past with packed soil that can take you from seed to harvest, they've either been too hot for seedlings or needed like a little molasses just at the end just to finish the plants off. Hence I think why now most would try the option of simply purchasing a soil that holds enough moisture, drains well and allows the roots to breath easily, and then using a good nutrient range to facilitate the rest, especially first timers.
  17. This is due to the spectrum of HPS being perfect for flowering. The drawback will be that in a tent such as yours, you would get terrible light spread with a SE 600W HPS compared to the spread you get with 600W total worth of LEDs. Extra: Those guys who claim better anything using HPS are also most likely making use of DE 1000W HPS, and are also Gavita fan boys
  18. My bad was just relating to the other local nutrient being EHG that @The_StonedTrooper was mentioning I updated the post.
  19. Nutriplex was my first nutrient brand when I did DWC, no complaints. My only concern was consistency. At the time there were whispers of some people getting 'off' or 'bad' bottles of Nutriplex and they were getting hellah deficiencies/burns without explanation only to figure out far down the line that the nutes were fecked. Can't say what it's like now, so take this for a grain of salt.

Jirre, pumping. Although I can confidently say @Prom probably has the most dialed in setup out of anyone.
