Are they in Coco or soil and what nutes are you giving them? Do you PH your feed each time before feeding? What sized pots are those? I am assuming not 20L pots if you're talking about repotting. I personally would let them get a bit bigger before flipping, upto you though Nothing wrong with flipping now either.

Interesting, who make the 3 QB's which you have? Do you have any idea? Fake diodes are not unheard of and could be the reason you are getting different experiences, also depends how many red and "uv" led's are on the board etc. etc.

Welcome to the forum! Nice man, so just recently flipped to flower basically? Aren't you scared cold fronts may kill the plants before they are mature and ready for harvest? Put your harvest around July sometime, roughly, if you've just flipped. They're looking good though!

What about LED strips or Quanum Boards? You could make something happen within your budget if you were to look at buying and making your own LED strips... Especially if you can source some decent strips locally. Otherwise you may need to look at Arrow or Digikey and bring in some.

Yeah man, will be keen to see how it compares to the 561C diodes in terms of what bud gets grown under them. If we had a quantum sensor it would make a bit easier to measure and compare lights.

Looking good man! I always get excited when I start to see lots of white pistils forming. That is where I am at currently with my grow, I think I am around a week or two ahead of you in terms of when I flipped. Do you do you nutes different for the stretching phase vs the flowering phase?

I'd wait for more / longer roots, also I prefer to put seedlings / cuttings into coco first and then into soil if using soil. The coco is a bit lighter and fluffier than soil tends to be, helps give the plant a bit of a boost and get started and established while its still small and starting out.

Let me quickly put on my tin foil hat It's very easy and simple, I figured it out not too long ago... China has a secret lab where they were genetically modifying various coronavirus strains until this one was developed. At the same time the US of A were doing the same, hence why they were in China prior to the outbreak. Trump released their strain of the virus and China released theirs too (hence why 2 strains were confirmed early on). China also decided to modify the 5G towers they have been developing and manufacturing to further assist in the spread of COVID-19 because we know that microwaves are bad and only good for heating of food and WiFi... because internet. The governments are providing false stats to scare us and have decided to implement the lockdown to control all of us, they are busy developing vaccines which will either lead to us becoming autistic or allowing the government to control us (think mind control). and that is that! lol

Keep in mind that importing anything now will cost a fair bit more than it did prior to lockdown, around 30% more. Although I agree that strips are a decent option too. Yeah, should be alright for a single plant in a smaller tent like that. Do you know which LED's are on that Quantum Board? You do not have to get a Quantum Board, you can try get some LED strips although most of the time with strips you need to build your own light. You could also go HID but I personally prefer LED over HID.

Where are you based?

Getting quality LED's locally for that price is difficult, even importing some quality stuff right now works out a bit pricey. I saw @Cannabist was looking at doing some DIY LED kits, not sure on his pricing but that may be a suitable option.

Finding QB's for that price is difficult, with the new exchange rate its going to become even more of a challenge and probably extremely unlikely / near impossible. For your sized tent I'd say you'd at least want 2x QB288's so something a bit more powerful (more LED's) than that qb200 on the GrowOpz site. Both those lights are also out of stock. Maybe see if @Cannabist still has stock of his Samsung lights that he's willing to sell otherwise I'm not sure you'll find something worthwhile in your budget to be honest.

Some good advice this, although certainly not for everyone. Some are happy just to get something to smoke and do not care much as to what it is they're smoking.

I agree 100% with you!! I am not against these tools, I do not mind them being a bit inaccurate although my bigger thing is the consistency and how inaccurate they actually are. If they are able to give us a guideline or percentage as to how inaccurate the results may be and at least provide consistent results then they could be very useful indeed.

These diodes are better and I feel they will do a better job than that other light from GT Hydro. Ideally I'd suggest a Quantum board with 2x QB288's on it for 2 plants inside an 80 x 80 tent. @Ill_Evan actually has a setup like this, perhaps take a look at his grow diary to get an idea of how well it works. I do not recommend ANY CFL as they are just extremely inefficient when it comes to growing cannabis. To put it into perspective, a single 400w CFL will perform worse than the above QTM 150 LED light which only draws 75W. Also with CFL's, having 10x 10W CFL's vs 1x 100W makes a big difference. The 1x 100W will perform significantly better than 10x 10W, heck the 1x 100W will even perform better than 12x 10W. If you do want to go for a CFL, you really need to get a single large one. I would recommend a minimum of 250W but you are really wasting your time, money and electricity. I personally would not use a CFL for anything more than seedlings and even then LED would still be better and more efficient. I would never purchase a CFL light for growing cannabis. The difference between that CFL you have a picture of compared to the QTM 150 is like comparing an old Opel Corsa to a new Ford Focus ST with a 2L Turbo. Sure they both provide light (they both drive and get you places), but if it is a race taking a stock 1999 Opel Corsa to a race against a Focus ST is a waste of time.

The leaves turning yellow is not uncommon for a plant reaching the end of its life / maturity. The pistils (hairs) turning brown isn't a sure way to tell whether the plant is ready, you need to take a look at the trichomes (crystals). The trichomes are what contain the THC and other chemicals and outdoor they certainly do form and do so properly, without trichomes you would not get any effects. You need to use a loupe or microscope to take a look at the trichomes, there are 3 stages of trichomes: clear, milky and amber. Milky when the THC is highest, once it goes amber the THC starts to degrade a bit and change to different substances and based on when you harvest (the ratio of clear trichomes, milky trichomes and amber trichomes) will also have an affect on the type of high you get from the plant. A lot of amber often gives you a heavy "couch lock" effect. A lot of clear can lead to paranoia and a racey high. On average most people like to harvest with mostly milky trichomes and then between 10% to 50% amber based on personal preference. I have attached a picture to help give you a better idea, you cannot see it with the naked eye. You will need something to help you zoom in on the sticky trichomes also when checking to see if a plant is ready it is best to check the trichomes in various buds on the plant and different parts of the bud - so the top of the bud, middle of the bud as well as bud on different parts of the plant. I like to check some bud which are lower on the plant and some in the middle and some in the top on all sides of the plant for a better picture. One thing I have noticed is that trichomes on the leaves mature at a different rate to the trichomes on the bud, I find trichomes on leaves often turn amber before the trichomes on the bud. The pistils can change colour if the plant gets pollinated or if a substance touches the pistils, such as some sprays can turn the pistils brown / orange as well. I had a plant where the pistils changed colour around 3 or 4 weeks before the plant was ready for harvest and that was not due to anything being sprayed and the plant was not pollinated either.
