  1. Gotta do it from the website and not via Tapatalk. When you click the plus, it'll insert it into the post. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  2. So this is my opinion and my experience. Environment needs to be perfect, a stunted plant will end up smaller and yield less - not always very beginner friendly A lot of autos can still be quite unstable, lots of variances between the seeds of the same strains Cannot keep a cutting if you find a keeper plant Gotta buy more seeds and keep popping seeds if you want to grow autos Photoperiods are able to produce far higher THC percentages compared to atuoflowers Less control over when the plant goes into flower, less options in terms of training as you do not want to stunt the plant Yields are kind of capped, the plants goes into flower itself and you cannot end up with a huuuge plant It is not uncommon for people to try autoflowers and end up with 20g of dry bud or less, especially if you are still rather new to growing or mess up - heck one can even just get unlucky and have a seed which sprouts but grows slowly and then you're screwed. Sometimes it's better to scrap the plant and start from scratch as opposed to waste more time and effort on the plant you already have. Autoflowers have their place, for a newer grower it can be convenient not having to change the duration of light the plants get. If you want to grow in winter or want quicker harvests when doing an outdoor grow, autos will be able to provide this to you. Probably a few other things as well which I cannot think of at the moment.
  3. Welcome back! Good luck with the comp!
  4. @The_StonedTrooper It looks good still, the wiring for the lights are not hanging down and in the way of your grow.
  5. Very neat setup, but feels a bit bare compared to mine - maybe I have over complicated things. I like the look and feel of your tent though
  6. I posted some pics in my one grow diary, will just copy and post them here again. This is my flower tent, you can see the lights and the box fans mounted at the top of the tent. All the strings for the rope ratchets are moved to the side of the tent to help keep things neat, wiring is mostly done at the top of the tent to help keep things neat as well. Power supplies sit outside the tent, on top of it - usually some cardboard box which is on the top of the tent and the power supplies sit on the cardboard box to insulate the heat and keep it away and out of the tent. I could probably take it a step further and try get all the wiring into a single loom and try do something similar with the rope ratchet strings, but I feel that is excessive and not really needed. It does not affect the grow at all and just takes time and will make swapping equipment out more difficult if I ever needed to.
  7. There is a company which I think are in Fourways, Chromespec - never used them before, have reached out to them again to get more info. They have all the proper lab grade equipment though, no compromise in terms of equipment.
  8. Hahaha @CreX No pressure! You better get a podium place though.
  9. A pic of the 4 autos together: Then I saw some nanners on the OG Kush so decided to cut her down, but I took some pics before I did the chop chop:
  10. Ahh ok, curious to see what comes of it. Have not heard of Dream Queen before though. Zurple Punch is by In House genetics? Would love to get my hands on that, although even if you did have cuttings I think we're quite far away from each other.
  11. Both the Zurple Punch and All Gas look really good and tasty! Very nice Did you cross Slurricane with Dream Queen?
  12. Looking good! Stems look nice and thick too for the size of the plants.
  13. Haha, hectic amount of light for that space. Never knew the temps spike once the plants have reached the most light they can absorb for the day - learnt something new Might as well adjust the timer cycle then accordingly too, save some electricity and lifespan on your lights. Keen to see how this turns out, in terms of weight - I have no clue about wet weight as I have never measured wet, although dry weight I am going to guess around 110g dry. Never done a SOG myself with such small pots, so a lot of guess work here with my figure.
  14. PPFD of 1600 is a decent amount of output - I assume this is usable / an actual measurement? What sized tent are you using?
  15. A DLI of 60 is really high man, the figures I have seen is generally around 20 for veg and then around 40 for flower. Higher than that and one generally wants to be running CO2 as well. To put things into perspective, 12 hours of flower and the below table is the PPFD and DLI. PPFD : DLI 700: 30.24 800 : 34.56 900 : 38.88 1000 : 43.20 Over 1000 umol requires CO2 supplementation for the plants to make use of the extra lighting and be able to benefit from it. EDIT: A DLI of 60 is 1400 umol for 12 hours, really high output and a waste if you are not running CO2. My 2c, give the plants less light and save some electricity.
  16. So here we go, some more pics of the dry bud. Exodus Cheese: LSP: Jelly Breath:
  17. Hahaha, oops. Looks good! A few more sleeps then you can pop those bad boys!
  18. So Brix seems to affect the plants resistance to disease and pest and this can be applied to both organic or synthetic grows via multiple methods. Slight stresses can be introduced in a variety of ways, some of the easier ways are perhaps with some substances which are not really organic or some which are organic and can be sprayed onto the plant or fed to them. There are many other ways as well, even with lighting. Hard to gauge and tell whether it is making a difference or how much of a difference it makes though. I do agree with you though that an organic grow can be a lot more time consuming and doing everything for an organic grow is a lot more effort too. However on the flip side, it can also be done in a very simple manner (think of outdoor plants). Or a proper super soil which is self sufficient. Not easy to achieve and often the results are better with fertilizers (organic or synthetic) being added and fed to the plants as well. Especially with cannabis during flowering. Like @CreX and some other growers, we might use coco and synthetic nutes but we also use a combination of other things which are more commonly found in organic and/or soil grows. I really see not reason why not to as I agree that it does make a difference and leads to happier and healthier plants. With that being said, I am sure there are people doing organic grows who do not use these products though. lol Just because one does not use organic nutes or soil, does not mean they do not use other natural products and organic products. Mycorrhizal fungi and trichoderma are two which I really like to make use of and inoculate my plants with and I feel it does make a difference. Those are just 2, however I know that @CreX has used teas in his hydro with synthetic nutes and has had great results back when he was growing DWC. Microbes can be very beneficial, even if one is growing in coco or hydro and using synthetic nutes.
  19. Yes, although that is the point I am getting at. One can still get super grilled without the carbon dioxide, the higher is different too and I feel the high from a dab is more like the high from vaping. Bong is a bit of a different high but vaping requires a bit more use and sucking on the device and maybe a 2nd bowl to get to similar levels I find.
  20. I must admit, there are 2 things which do annoy me a bit about mine. 1. The pull strings aren't as easy to use as I would like and compared to some other tents. 2. The one section of my tent requires me to completely unzip if I want to open it (like, unzip as in remove the two zip pieces like on a jacket) and it can be tricky to get it zipped up again. Otherwise I really love mine and will buy another budbox tent again without hesitation. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  21. I don't actually know, something I have wondered about too. Although I have not had a bong hit in years, vape for me only... With the occasional dab perhaps. Dabs hit hard, how much carbon dioxide is in dab? Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  22. I must admit, I do find one needs to vape a bit more compared to a bong or joint. However the amount of bud being used in a vape is often a lot less than one would consume in a joint or bong.
  23. That is very generous of you! Whoever gets the vape is going to be very happy I am sure!
