Neem meal is not harmfull to soil microbes. Who would you believe? Someone who has been mixing it into his soil for 40 years and growing the dankest shit or some internet troll. Clakamascoot has been growing the same strain basically all his growing life.

Slow down, I agreed with you, he is a legend and fully agree with all his methods, most of my grow style is from him...

He has caused such a stir in the community about this too, and I follow him religiously.

There is some fact to the Neem being harmful, it's not my belief and just an understanding, from the scientific research done, and he himself has said before, though they out way the bad which is why he still uses it.

I myself have also been trying to source it...

Who's an internet troll?

Just for interest sake,

It's been a stable of Coot, Mendo Dope boys, all of Mendo grow family, and most of the followers of Coot, to use Neem.

They use it, for the Chitin it releases and therefore makes the plant thinks its under attack, and because it's not been attacked, it grow like on steroid's.

Here in SA, we are limited and dont have it, but can import at a cost your Neem meal...

So, for us, we have and can use, the very same Insect frass that Organic matter use in their own soil, which is what I use making mine up too, and it will release the Chitin, while not been a threat, whether you believe it not, to your Microbes.

I come in peace✌

I am giving little advise. You have to learn by yourself. I am learning all the time. I just give pointers in a direction. You must make up your own mind.

I feel the biggest mistake anyone in any profession or field could make, is thinking they know everything.

Myself, I'm learning each and every day still.

We have to be open to new things or views and challenge ourselves every day too, how else do we essentially grow, pun intended.

Coot was disliked at first, and all those who disagreed, now follow closely, it's all how you want to grow, or can, and what works for you, in your environment.

Thx @oros da boss, I'm trying to improve each grow and this is my second grow in living soil thx to@SkunkPharm advice and guidense emoji322.png, I get my Barley from him and I think it's malted and not sure what strains. Multiple ways of using it, as is or grounded and just sprinkle on top and work it in a little. It makes like a crust and is fungy food if I understand the prosess correct.

thanks for sharing your methods. I am new to gardening with malted barley too. in my limited experience I've mixed it in with the other soil ingredients before planting, put a load into my worm bin and have tried top dressing (50 ml) just like you suggested.

The relevant enzymes and their functions are all listed in here;

https://www.revivalgardening.com/help/why-use-malted-barley-grains

@SkunkPharm do you crush your barley, or use the whole grain? Please tell me about the organo mineral, what is in it exactly?

Happy Thursday
Girls are behaving super green and only got time to start turning them into woman today, I had to many plants still vegging and could not switch the weekend.
Now it looks like I'm going to run out of height with only 90cm from scrog to max light hight, but we will tug while we still can.
I had some space left in the scrog and managed to lift a pot with a crate and squeezed it into the corner.
Girls got Fire Juice feeding, 2 days later a Moong Bean SST and today a Microbial feeding.
GSC, OKC and Cookies and Cream all behaving simular, the new pot has a Raspberry Diesel in.
Lots of defoliation to do and il start slowly the weekend to clean up under the net.

Hope you enjoy

Huge defoliation, apologies. Won’t delete but I’d actually say 2 more bro. Medium one now and huge one 3 weeks. I think 🙌🏻

Looked again and realized that’s a real bush you got, but I would definitley not worry about stressing those plants 🙌🏻👍🏻

Here we are 14 days into flower today
Plants got one Microbe and one Fire Juice feed and the rest just water. Stretch was about 13cm so far and my limited light height problem might work out to be not a big problem.
Girls look happy so I'm happy.

Looking goood @GGG 🤙

Just caught the bit abojt the neem meal, its good to use in soil, didnt know it was available in SA.

Jamies shop i guess?

I would still wait for soil to cool down like most ammendents, Clackamas runs most things through his worm bins, he doesnt ammend soil directly.

Hey@Dank, I don't have neem meal but did a guick Google a few weeks ago and it is availible but very expensive and small quantities.
It's my second run in this soil so it's not hot, only feed a little of this and that and feed microbes, they will sort the plants out

Need to add that the humidity is hectic and the Sonof kicks in alot, lights on from 13:00 - 1:00 so with the fan running my lights of temps has gone done to 15 a few nights.
I now reajust the humidity just before I go to sleep and then again when lights come on.
Also moved lights on from 12:00 - 13:00 and will do that once a week till I get to 18:00 to kick in. So ones a week they have a 13 hr dark cycle and 11 light on cycle, let's hope it works out
