First Attempt , First everything

So took me some time to type out my first attempt. So basically my first attempt to germinate a seed was not successful placing the seed into water and then in a Jiffy Pod. The second seed also failed by using the seed in the water method and placing the seed in serviette and bag placed in my germination environment which include a heat pad. I germinated 2x seeds at the same time just to be safe so technically seed 3, germinated using the soaking and serviette method. So the steps below describe the day to day for Seed 3.

Seed 3:  White Widow CBD (Fem Autoflower)

Day 1. 21st June – Placed the seed in Ph`d water  around 12h00 noon. Going to leave the seed in water for approximately +-36hrs

Day 2. 22nd  June – Seed still in the cup of water.

Day 3. 23rd June – 36 Hours later, Placed the seed in the damp serviette and placed it in my humidity environment which include a small heat pad , humidity is around 50 to 60 percent.

Day 4. 25th June – Seed germinated 😊, small root appeared. Left the baggie for around 24hrs in the humidity environment.

Day 5. 26th June – Root is around 2cm long, (Pic1) transferred the seed to a Jiffy Pot. (Pic 2) Placed it into humidity environment.

Day 6. 27th June – Huge surprise this morning, The seedling was standing 2cm tall. 2x Yellow Leaves (Pic3)

Day 7. 28th June – Yellow leaves turned green, and seedling is doing well. Removed the Seedling from the Jiffy pod, and planted into a small cup. Cup was filled with Formula 1 grow medium that have been flushed out and watered PH level 6.1. The Seedlings is placed under my new LED lights system.(Pic 4)     150w Lumiled 2d 3030 Leds currently around 60cm away from seedling. Keeping humidity between 30 and 40 percent to encourage the seedling to pull water from the soil and stimulate root growth. Tent temperature around 20-26 degrees.

Day8. 29th June –

Day 12 3rd  July – Steady Growth, watered three days after replanting.

Day 16 7th July – Transplanted to a bigger container on the 5th, Steady Growth, Plant really loving the bigger space.

Dont worry mate, my first 2 attempts failed. I tried heating mats, humidity domes etc and then found what works for me.

Putting the seeds in paper towel in a bank bag under my modem.

Leave for 72 hours and check, have popped 4 from 4 since.

By the way you have some interesting looking lights there, what are the specs if you dont mind me asking.

Planned to run my Burple light, but with no specs and anything I was not very comfortable. So with some research and asking around I got this light from @Master_G. Want to hit the ground running so will see how everything works out.

Make it a good one and show us what the G Master LED V1.0 can do 🧐

Welcome brother,

Good report and first time go, you doing well man.

Just me, but have heard that humidity that low in seedling stage isn't that good for them, though I get why you want the plant to suck rather than absorb through the air, it needs more of a 50 to 60% now I believe.

Cant wait to see you grow these till harvest man😎

You are right man! Higher humidity in veg is more desirable than low RH in veg.

@Newbe_2020 But neither are crazy detrimental in veg... Only if you are hitting 100 or 0 should you need to worry.

Keep between 40 and 70 and the plant should be fine

You are right, it's not critical.

I like to follow the VPD chart and find I get the best speed and plant performance doing so.

Also I would try stay away from 70% unless having very good air circulation and changes, other WPM creeps in, in my experience.

Yesssss!! VPD is where it's at!!

You will notice that the veg diagram is way more forgiving and is way easier to stick in the lines so to speak hehe

Flower is very tight narrow band

Exactly right, haha.

That slow fade off on humidity and temp toward the end of flowering is key, most guys run such a low humidity it makes the plant perspiration so much, it cant absorb any co2 through the leaves as there is only one way flow happening.  So to low a humidity in veg will only block the co2 uptake and slowing the whole system down.

So one question, how do one maintain the Humidity around 60% if one dont have  device to regulate that range.

You hope the air you bringing into the grow space is below that, and the faster you bring it in or out, will effect the humidity.

But the dehumidifier was the third thing I bought after the light and fans.

If you higher, it's okay, just keep air moving, lots of fans oscillating, no stagnant air. You'll be good.

How do you keep it at 30%? Without the dehumidifier 😮
