Goodluck bro. What size pots and how many seeds? Got urself a great setup. Side note. Been a while since i heard the name cannabist around these parks.

I think I make a little diary of this project. End-middle of week 2.. not much missed, plants growing nice. Gorillas I got from Cannabist and are Royal Queen Seeds. Dropped 10, one did nothing, one was a dud.. so 8 from 10.. not the most glorious number in fresh seeds. I let them run under a Mars 144, running on veg now and draws 179 Watt. Light duration is 24/0 Day 3 day 11

The Courier Guy rocked up at my house this morning. I was absolutely shocked to see that my order from the Cannabist had arrived albeit the fact that only 15 of the 20 seeds I ordered was packaged. They added three free Dinafem Auto's and three of their own seeds in the package. They also left a note saying that the 5 missing seeds would follow. I'm glad to have not been scammed, however I don't think I'll buy from them again.

Can EFT be reversed? He mentioned order/payment was a month ago so by now cannabist has surely withdrawn it anticipating the impending doom ahead for the brand

I can't believe Cannabist have the audacity to have a link on their website saying "feeling a bit weary , no stress ask members on 420SA about their experience" and it leads me here. Put in an order with them a month ago worth R2000, a few days later i check out the reviews on 420 just for interest and i realized that everything had gone to sh!t, they haven't responded to my emails or whatsapp. I'm sitting here with pots filled with soil , everything's ready but nothing to plant. Out of 13 local seed banks I chose Cannabist These guys should be closed down , they can't run a business like this.

I’ve done the rounds on the seed banks here in South Africa. The best for me are @TrophySeeds @Biltong and Budz and Smoking Gun. I have never tried @Sacred Seeds as they have never had strains I have wanted. I recently made a purchase from https://budbuddies.co.za and got surprised with 2 free sample strains sealed from Barney’s farm as well as a grinder. I paid with Snap Scan and the guys sent my order with the Courier guy within hours. I also bought a set of platinum jelly from African Smoke this week, they were not as fast but can confirm that they have shipped my order. I’ll see what is in the package when it arrives. I am also an unlucky sucker that got ripped off from the Cannabist for R3600 for 20 Liberty Haze seeds. Funny thing is that the dude replied to my mail saying a week and then never again. I’ve asked my bank to reverse the payment and in the event that the Cannabist denies the reversal, they will give me Cannabist’s actual contact details. I’m not sure if anyone else has done the same?

Since Cannabist went off the reservation, @Sacred Seeds has become my go to. Every order has been delivered in breeders packaging with surplus seeds and paraphernalia (plenty rolling papers, a grinder etc).

Yo fellow growers, I just wanted to update you guys. I’ve been super critical of cannabist but they really made up for it in the end. I was emailed by them last week explaining the situation, some of the seed didn’t come through. He made a very generous offer to replace them with anything other seeds I wanted. So I replied today and got the seeds the today. I mean that’s pretty amazing, service. They also gave me bunch of free seeds and cool merchandise. I honestly thought I wouldn’t ever say this but I would actually buy from them again.

420sa put it on hold due to delayed results one of the months. It went over into entries for another month, as well as the Cannabist sponsor issue, which led to some unforseen issues. If I'm not mistaken, I think it stopped for just 1 month, and should be continuing this month... Just waiting on @420SA to get back to everyone with what's up. No problem man... Yeah I get you... A lot of people ordered and had effortless experiences in getting their seeds and stuff, but once Cannabist started falling behind and not responding to customers, it was game over. I, myself, had a delayed order with Cannabist when I recieved my prize for SOTM on 420sa, it took a couple weeks to get to me when people have been saying that Cannabist used to deliver in a few days - after I got my stuff, the complaints started rolling in about customers not receiving orders at all, or really late... Hey man... Well, to sum it up; There was a backlog of orders when Lockdown started, and a severe lack of customer service didn't help the situation any bit. Cannabist ultimately stopped replying everyone that's ordered before or placed a new order, with some of the older orders taking 2 months to reach their destination - if they did at all. I just received my seeds from cannabist 8 weeks after I placed my order. Have send 4 emails to find out what is happening.. NO A SINGLE REPLY. I DO NOt RECOMMEND ANYONE TO BUY FROM THEM. I have ordered many times from other seed banks like trophy seeds, sacred seeds, biltong and buds also greensmokeroomseeds. Had good service and fast delivery every time from all the above mentioned. But the best for me BILTONG AND BUDS.

Yeah, seeds received, but I will never purchase from Cannabist again, 60% of my feminised seeds were duds. ANybody recommend a reputable seller of fem seeds?

Howzit everyone, I'm starting my first grow this week and just have a few simple questions. I have 3 of these https://www.cannabist.co.za/cannabis-seeds/strawberry-banana-cheese-feminised/?mc_cid=da921550bb and just going to plant 1 seed for now. I have a 36cm pot and some soil but I've been reading that it's better to start in something smaller? Would a cut plastic bottle with some holes at the bottom be fine for the beginning? I'm doing them in a spare cupboard, about 50cm x 50cm x 300cm. I have an MH bulb and a timer too, but my original plan was to grow outside before being convinced not to :P I'm going to start germinating tonight, so far what looks like the best method to me is putting it in water for 24 hours then putting in moist paper towels in a zip lock bag for a few days. If anyone thinks there's a better method for me to use please let me know. Here's a list of what I have to work with (a lot of this stuff was given to me by a buddy of mine so not entirely sure what it's all for just yet haha) Strawberry Banana Cheese Feminised seeds Nitrosol Organic fertiliser 85W 6400k Fluorescent CFL Liquid PH Up & Down PH testing kit Analogue timer 46cm pot Potting soil (pics attached) Soil and room temp thermometers TLDR: Basically what I'm asking is: * Is this germination method okay?: Putting it in water for 24 hours then putting in moist paper towels in a zip lock bag for a few days. * Is my pot too big for these seeds right now? Hi guys I started my first grow today in an 80cm x 80cm grow tent. I just did one seed for now but I'm hoping to do 2-3, I'm thinking 3 might be a bit much for my tent? My question is how many times do I need to transplant, and what pot sizes should I have? Bro... There has been many a thread started for this very reason. Unfortunately no one can get hold of Cannabist anymore to get any feedback on orders and he has been removed from the 420sa forum as a vendor. At this point, I would sadly suggest that you cut your losses, and try sourcing some seeds from@Totemic or have a look at our best local seedbank thread - members are posting their experiences all the time. A quick search for threads on 420sa about Cannabist would've given you the info you need as the only threads you'll find going a month or 2 back are of customers complaining about the lack of communication and customer service. Its just a shame. Many of our members have gone through what you're going through and have lost faith in trying to contact Cannabist on any platform. I, for one, was on his side and even I saw that it was becoming ridiculous. I now advise people to rather stay away. It is possible for him to right his wrongs and reinvent his brand or whatever, but it's not gonna happen any time soon by how things have been looking. Edit: Please note 420sa is in no way associated with Cannabist. He simply possessed a vendors license for this site and it was not renewed once it expired. Hi, I ordered some seeds from Cannabist.co.za on 22 June 2020. Made the payment and received order number. I have written 4 emails to them to find out what is the delay. I have not received a single reply. Has anyone had any similar experiences with Cannabist.co.za? I understand due to covid-19 there's going to be some issues, but not responding to a customers emails..... I have tried most of the seedbanks in south africa and must say never had any problems with other seed banks. Please let me know what you think Thanks

Think we are done here. I doubt @Cannabist would ever reply here again, their vendor section has ended and this isn't their site.

One more thing (apologies about the harping) I even referred a friend because I was impressed with the service, now I'm scared to ask if the friend is having the same issue. In all honesty, if @Cannabist could resolve this in a timely/professional manner, i will continue to supporting him. (granted communication is improved) Please Please @Cannabist you made a good impression with what would be a good recurring client, dont go and mess it up. P.S Spring is so close here, Help a Brother Out CB!

Prefer fabric Woolies carrier bags to plastic, 25lt buckets and 60lit tubs. Also have some 20lit fabric pots from cannabist, they all work for us. Carrying them is difficult and it will prove a task if you have 10 or more plants to move every day. Some plants will only yield about 30-40gr dry, but I've managed more than 200gr off some plants in 25lt bag and 60lt tub respectively. It depends on so many factors.
