  1. Good day, so I lost my all my other seedlings,to heat, month or 2 ago. But trying again, not giving up. So this run we doing GG#4 (4) X GSC (Cannabist) ,GSC (4) (cannabist ) and Washing Machine (ripper seeds) (1) . Plus have Cape cheese mother from GSR,which I will be cloning. And white Skunk #1 mother from GSR . I will be doing a sea of green method this time. Once I find the right mothers from the seeds above, will be using those for all my grows. Using 2 x 400w HPS Will be grown in super soil, I mixed myself. Plus I have gone in KNF and incoperated imo3 into my soil mix. Nutrients, I will be using my own, homemade. As per Korean natural farming. For the would run. Temperatures have been consistently at 22 to 28, for the last few week. Busy flowering out, cheese, skunk and kush. Will do a weekly post.
  2. I vote @Cannabist their service and variety are awesome. Ordered from their local stock on Friday 31st of Jan and it got delivered today. Have ordered seeds from various seed banks over the years, local and abroad, I must say that I have found my new favourite seed bank. PS. I have no affiliation with them.
  3. I've been buying seeds for a long time. Directly from European seed banks and from holy smoke seeds when they first came available. I bought from green smoke room when they first opened and had a hidden menu that required a special password that was very difficult to obtain. Putting the price aside the best customer service I've received was from @Cannabist, well except for when he 1st opened and payfast froze his account. But even then he fixed the issue and compensated all affected by it. I highly recommend @Cannabist to everyone. On a side note I have no affiliation with them. I've just been super happy with the owners attitude and his willingness to assist. Don't believe me, give them a try...
  4. i compared the przs for seeds and i think @Cannabist is the cheapest so far.
  5. It's now up @Bakstein420 and @Cannabist
  6. @420SA think we need to put @Cannabist on the poll. Good service, good prices and he is active on the forum.
  7. Great stuff, interested in your coco wash method. Can view strain info here: https://www.cannabist.co.za/cannabis-seeds/grandaddy-purple-fast-feminised-seeds-bulk-sa/
  8. 3 out of 3 Seeds of the Cannabist Grandaddy Purple Fast Fem germinated in Jiffy pellets that I buffer myself as well. I have had 100% success rate with this method: I am no pro but it works for me so maybe someone might benefit from this.. Soak Jiffy Pellets in Buffering solution(50g Calmag salt in 20l water) for 12 hours. Press out most of the solution without breaking the lining. Rinse with tap water and press out excess water. Make a nutrient solution as per specifications and soak the pellets for a few minutes. (I used Vitalink Coco Max SW A+B @ half a ml to 1l water each PHed to 6.2) Press out most of the water and fluff up the peat inside the lining. Carefully place the seeds about 1cm into the pellet, place in a warm dark place until first sign of germination. If the peat dries out before the first sign of germination, use the nutrient solution above to moisten the pellet. (Note that if the pellet is too wet, your seedling might die due to 'dampening-off') Move under a 18/6 light cycle. (I use a 250W MH) Note: If you are unsure of the wet/dryness of your pellet, practice on some bagseeds until you find the sweet-spot. I grow in 100% Washed and Buffered Coco Coir. (I might do a tutorial on this in future as I think that Coco is the best grow medium "better than soil" for our plants but people experience issues because it was never properly washed or buffered.) Follow along for updates. Next: Transplant to Coco in grow bags. I have more than 1 Strain growing concurrently but this thread is dedicated to the Local Genetics.
  9. @Ill_Evan hectic shit bro. So many stories of grows going down due to theft, weather or living circumstances. I have a shit ton of spare seeds from my black friday order from @Cannabist, if you need some to get back on your feet send me a PM.
  10. Looking forward to checking the progeny of your breeding project @Mambawana Feel free to start a thread about it (if you wanted) under "Whats in your stable", you can call it whatever you wish, just add - Breeder: Mambawana. Want to reply to the topics above mentioned by you and @Cannabist , but will wait for some decent me time and write a proper post, stoked to see all this activity in the breeders group!
  11. @Meepmeepza Don't disappoint the wife. She didn't do too bad. Get some decent compost, a small brick of coco and mix it with that soil and keep it for your 1st transplant. Remove as much of the bark and funny things. Start seeds in something small with a little of that coco only and then transplant as they grow. That plant food shows a pic of seaweed on it and says kelp on the side so it will work for your grow for veg for.The most part. Drench and foliar 2 in 1. You can diy some teas for flower or maybe buy a biobloom later on or top dress some worm castings during the grow to boost microbials or whatever.. The plant will grow and you can wing it as it grows. There is only one thing in cannabis cultivation that I feel you should never compromise and that is good genetics. As a beginner start with photo's, leave the autos till you get some experience. Seeds are cheap for a 3 pack delivered @Cannabist
  12. Hello Starting this to share and hopefully learn more. Just bought seeds from @Cannabist, 100% germinatetion and all sealed. So have popped 2 x barneys farm laughing buddha, 1 x Monster Genetics Auto Bruce Banner and 1 x Royal Queen Seeds Critical. Day one for Laughing buddha was 16th December and the other to 17th December. Will be grown out up 2 x 400w HPS .
  13. Hi all. So I got a few extra seeds with my order from @Cannabist and was wondering how I should store them till I am ready to plant. What methods do you guys use?
  14. I managed to squeeze in some Charlettes Angel seeds on @Cannabist black Thursday special. Also got some LSD and Green Crack. But very interested how you @PsyCLown find the effects of the Charlettes Angel?
  15. There are quite a few real fire breeders. Unfortunately we cannot buy direct from the seedbanks that carry their gear. Check out empire breeding company and seed bazaar. @Cannabist find out from your supplier if he can order for you from them. They both ship to Europe. It will be worth the wait.
  16. Yeah darkhorse were the original creators of it. I stand to be corrected but I think it was the strongest strain on earth 2015. Gonna grab some next time our bra cannabist has some coupon codes and their strawberry diesel F2. I almost chose it over the dehumidifier but I'm tired of moving my 1 dehumidifier around everyday
  17. Thanks cannabist for your attitude towards what it means for us to get the real FIRE genetics to work with. If your supplier can order from empire breeding company, we don't need to look any further. Expensive but they stock the best of the best. Proper breeding stock. They even stock Loki's gear. On Friday I will be placing an order for a pack of darkhorse genetics original Bruce banner. It's the real deal. Too bad you don't stock their strawberry diesel f2, Bruce's mama. On average a 10pack is providing like 4 keepers and a choice of good studs. All my info is coming from private grower friends in the states that have become cannabis celebs since I've known them. These are the lines they currently working and the offsprings are off the chain. They not into breeding to sell seeds. They in it to be ahead of all the huge cultivation centres that are monopolizing their market. Just to avoid confusion I need to state that I haven't breed any seeds as yet in my growing career. I've come a long way as a grower, grown in many different styles. Since legalisation I started uping my game cos I love having 20 different strains to smoke. Variety is the spice of life. Run after run has always been about improving yield and quality. Nowadays things run on autopilot for the most part. I'm honestly tired off buying seeds and being disappointed with the mediocre results. My friends think I'm crazy and that my quality is up there but I know in my heart it's nothing compared to the real FIRE. It's lacking those exotic terps. So I've decided that I want to start making some seeds just for personal hunting and maybe share it with other local breeders if they interested. The one thing I'm proud off is my grow set up. I now have the facility in place to make seeds, pheno hunt and if need be, take seed making into proper breeding. Who knows where this leads too. Sorry for yapping guys... Peace
  18. For real @Mambawana that would be cool, and probably a reality as the laws normalize around cannabis worldwide. Kev is a legend, he is one of the big reasons breeders in California are getting recognition and continuing to grow that fire. Also in a way prob the reason that I have a bit of fire from Cali. I dig his view about how anybody can sift for their location/tastes/experiences and breed something truly unique that you can enjoy and share. Busy drying out some BlueberryKush f2's that came straight outa Cali, from a oldtimer breeder dude in LA (got the beans for free as well), will post a nugshot or two when i jar em up. I keep beans from Europe and those from the States separate, most big seed companies in Europe sift through 1000s, and some do 10s of 1000s of plants every 4 months, California has thousands of growers and loads of breeders. There is a lot of collaboration between breeders from the States and EU. Some dank coming from the EU as well, however they are relying a bit on genetics from the states for their "new stuff". Sjo Mendo Dope boyties are serious, will have to check that out! Will invite Cannabist to the breeder group, not sure if he could see the mention.
  19. @Dank imagine if we had access to some of the clones from Wonderland Nurseries. That guy Keven sifts through 1000s of plants before selecting his keepers. Use to watch all his videos back in the day... On another note Mendo Dope who now have become Greenshock Farms are going to start selling seeds. All their Tropical Sley Ride crosses... @Cannabist you need to hook us up with the genetics from California brother.
  20. Bought seeds from@Cannabist Recieved last week all popped. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  21. Yeah I would start over. You still have time. I think you started the plant too early so they went straight into flower. I don't agree with the bag seed though. Buy some seeds and try again. And most of all don't be discouraged from this. You become a better grower after every failure. And if you live in kzn. I have plenty extra clones for you now that Mr cannabist has reappeared and says he dispatching my seeds on Thursday.
  22. Welcome and I am sure you will enjoy your stay! As @420SA mentioned, start a grow diary and if you get stuck ask for help. Killing your plants won't be nearly as easy to achieve then. Good equipment is not cheap, but it's money well spent generally. Good genetics also aren't cheap, but it certainly makes a difference - TH Seeds are well priced and pretty good and I see one of the Vendors on the forum @Cannabist stock them and currently have a special running too. Worlds Strongest Strains are awesome, although regular seeds and not terrible in terms of pricing. Since you get regular seeds, you can always easily breed for more seeds if you'd like. Biltong n Budz stock WSS.
  23. Cannabist or Growopz Qbs ? which one do you guys prefer?
  24. https://www.cannabist.co.za/product/230w-quantum-board-led-grow-light/ Worth considering, proper authentic Samsung LED diodes and comes with a heatsink and driver etc. Or the smaller one if you'd prefer: https://www.cannabist.co.za/product/130w-quantum-board-led-grow-light/
