  1. Prices are reasonable.

    Good descriptions.

    2 days delivery.

    Free delivery.

    Not the biggest menu.

    Love the disclaimer.

"If seeds dont get to u safe. They send u double the order" no questions aparently.

    This looks delicious.

5 seeds. Not bad at all.

What area do you want to heat with that pad

Ok. So my grow box is 500x700 x 1000 high.

I have the pot raised. So the distance from light to top of soil is a out 500mm

The temp and humidity on the top of the soil is 18 degrees at night and about 20-22 degrees during the day.

    40%-60%

I thought maybe placing this pad somewhere in the box. With raise the temp inside abit.

To give the seedling and 1st week of growth some warnth since they still abit young.

You can use that plugs and just put the plug in the soil/final pot, those plugs are amazing

Sorry for the shitty pic bro.

Yeah so i put this plug into the soil of final pot. And put the cracked seed into it after soaking for about 12 hours.

Still waiting for that little 1 to pop out.

Got abit impatient. Droped another seed in a shot glass now. Lets hope this operation is smoother.

If both pop. Excellent. Happy camper

I do have space for a max of 2 x plants in my veg box. So im ok in that aspect.

Sweet tooth auto. Hopefully coming soon. 🤞

Most Deepcycle batts don't like going lower than 50% SOC. The life of the battery could be severely shortened, so technically you only have half of the stated AH available.

U right bro. Those batteries dont go lower then a certain amount.

If u not getting the required power for the requires time.

Then all u do is add another battery.

    Extend the duration

I generally leave my seed in luke warm water until it sinks (usually takes a day or two)

Then I place between 2 damp cotton pads (with a touch of root hormone) and place that into a ziplock bag. I then place the bag into a dark cupboard for a day or two. Usually by the second day I'll have enough tap root grown for me to plant.

So I took roughly 3 to 4 days to germ these seeds.

Sour Diesel Auto got planted 13/06/2020 - But for the first two weeks, it grew under my old blurple so didn't get much growth until I swapped it out for the QB.

Both Gelato Samba and Copopopo Autos were planted on 4-06-2020

Ignore the Temp reading. The thermometer is an absolute fail.

    Thanks bro.

Having some issues with my 1 seed i germinated.

Gona give it another day or so. Then maybe germ another 1 or 2 seeds.

Going slow. Coz i only bought 5 seeds to start with and dont wana mess it up.

    But getting abit impatient now.

    🙄

  6. I can give u guys more info if needed

    Take your total watt usage.

X factor of 3 for safety.

That value = wattage of inverter required

Example. 500w total power including lights. Heaters. Fans. Etc.

    X 3 for safety. ( surge watts)

    500x3 = 1500w

    Size of inverter 1500w

    Then for the battery.

    Minumium requirement "Deep cyle"

Lets assume a 12v battery is used.

And lets say you want to run your 500w for 4 hours.

    500x4/12 = 167 ah

    500w - 4 hours - 12volts

    - 167amp hour battery

    ( batteries usually come commonly between 100 - 110ah )

So best to get 2 x 100ah batteries.

The more shit u wana run. The bigger the inverter required.

The more longer u wana run the shit. The bigger the battery required.

    Hope this helps guys.

That's a seedling or under pot warmer pad, you want a wall mount plate heater.

Just looking at a cheap solution to increase air temp in the grow box.

This is small. Cheap. Consumes less watts.

Compared to a wall mount plate heater?

Awesome thread bro, honestly I didn't make it through everything, lol. Will try to follow along.

Bro I'm seriously interested in setting this up. Could you message me like a pricing of some sort? And a general list of components...

I have - I would say - a good knowledge on electrical circuits and have designed a solar powered system somewhere lying around.

Just never thought of actually doing this to compensate for my lighting hours...
Always set it up to have dark cycles during the load shedding hours and opened the tent for a hour or however long to wake the plants up if I needed to while the lights were out.

  9. Wat up bro. Things looking good.

    Just a few curious questions.

What temp do u start ur seeds with inside the humidity dome?

What light spec do u use for the humidity dome?

And what height is the light at from the dome?

I am done with load shedding. I have been looking to invest in this for years now. Eventually saved up enough.

    2 x 110aH batteries

    1 x 1440w inverter

Fuck Eskom thanks for LED's. Will be adding another 2 batteries when I have the funds.

    Bro. Excelent investment.

Just finished putting mine together about a month ago.

Even if its just for the home use.

    1 of the best investments

    Hi bro,

just checked and it is 600l/min. I don't know if it'll do the trick. I took a picture (this thing needs a good clean).

    DSC_0053.JPG

    600L per hour bro.

    So 10L per min.

Should be ok. As long as its not pumping too high. If u hear the pump struggling for 10 seconds or so as its pushing. Switch off

I see it says max height 1m. So thats ur limit there. Unless u raise the pump to minimize the height it has to pump

Morning bro, thanks man that helped a lot! I've got the green ones. I have a very small pump I got myself for an ebb and flow system years ago. Never really got into hydroponics so finally I found a good purpose for it. Or do you think it might be too small (not sure how much it can pump in an hour but can find out).

    Howzit bro.

Do you know how many cc  or liters per minuite ur pump is?

And possible pressure it works at.

Keep that pressure head as low as possible. If the pump is small.

No. It's some dude that orders from overseas somewhere and mail's to you. Don't think I need a middleman to do that thanks.
I'd rather buy 2nd hand of the forum than part with cash and possibly not get what's advertised.
