  1. I can sort of understand how things may have gone pear shaped. Me for example have difficulty explaining myself in writing. I come across as a blunt prick which I am some times but if you know me you would not be offended. Most of the heated threads I've read on this forum have started from one person's understanding versus the next and hey, debate is good but people need to live and learn and move forward with positivity and knowledge. Saying that, I have also seen members arguing come to a consensus by the end of most threads. Keep the good vibes going all. Fuck, we need it during these tough times. 2. Dude! This is one of the reasons I joined this forum over others. I spent close onto a year silently following. I would Google shite, cross reference shite, look for other sites to cross reference shite and then 420 search for opinions and actual experience. If someone doesn't want advice and claims the sky is clear when it's overcast, their loss. Look, listen, steal with your eyes and take in all info even if you don't agree, catalogue then decide on your next move, that's my approach. Keep up the good threads man, I for one am learning tons. 3. OK, so a SOG is your whole grow area filled to the sides with plants. A SCROG is your whole grow area filled to the sides with plants but held up by a net. I've recently done a 33 plant grow spaced close to each other in my shade house. Is that considered a SOG? Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  4. Yeah man. Had to constantly check for these red buggers. Luminous green ones luckily preferred the wild dagga I planted in the same area. On the reservation we try not to use pesticides as we have soo much wild life that would be infected. Outdoors I just plant more than necessary and offer one or two plants as sacrificial plants and hope for the best. Minimal problems in the shade house though. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  5. Load shedding. Had to pull out the riot tazer and some torches. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  6. Have you come right with a light yet? Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  7. 25 days since I planted directly into 10l pot and almost succeeded in killing them. 3 days since I repotted into smaller pots and I seem to have pulled a rabbit out of the hat. Plants seem to be bouncing back some what. Do you think it's the Epsom salt light foliage spray I gave them @iGrowDagga? I've decided I'll be inviting my two QB75's to the party. One either side the 240W and dial them to what will be optimum lighting or close to for my 900mm x 900mm area. As far as training goes I'm stumped as I think time has run out. Not sure. Will see.
  8. The girls have perked up. Little update to follow tomorrow. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  9. Still with the Just Cannabis soil. Unfortunately not able to get something else at the moment. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  10. Update. It's been 48 hours since I replanted into smaller pots. Pics 1-6 were taken yesterday. Last pic taken now after minimal watering. Looking promising but lets give it a few more days.
  11. Sitting here thinking. Do you guys think I should flush this soil now and then let it dry.
  12. Week 3 to the day. Plan was to start LST today. Attempts to dry my soil does not seem to be working so I decided to down pot. Carefully loosened soil rolling the pot and supporting the plant like a futhermucker. Couldn't grab the camera as the little one was supervising but soil was wet. Roots had managed to push out by 30 - 40mm only. Decision made. Gotta save the babies as they were dying a slow death anyway. Water dripped through fingers when squeezing.
  13. LED torches. Gotta try. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  14. [emoji106][emoji111] You may still want to consider a ' how the fcuk did he keep that plant alive ' badge. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  15. Now that I see an actual reading on the temps in the cabinet all I can say is if you don't have a thermometer, get one. Realizing my main reasons for not having successful indoor grows was not understanding the environment control. Learning very fast. Thanks dudes. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  16. I've known the risks of planting directly into final pot and usually very careful with the prep work. Take the good with the bad I suppose. Since getting the thermo and drilling a few holes in the side of the pot seems to have helped. My cabinet was way to cold with the top half open which hampered the pot drying. Nice and cosy now and the plants seem to have a new breath of life. I'll post a few pics soon. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  17. There is a ventilation slit on the base of the cabinet which is raised off the floor slightly. I have also installed a 100mm bathroom extractor fan in the top corner of the cabinet which has not been switched on yet. Can feel air been pushed out from fan in cabinet. Went out and bought a thermo that I couldn't afford but needed I think. Good move. My cabinet has been sitting between 17 - 20 degrees with top half open during the day. Keep the cabinet closed now and temp sitting at 26 degrees and RH at 65. Although dropped to 14 degrees last night. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  18. I usually do that to my soil a few days before potting and let it dry out. Soil didn't seem to dry out as quick this time. So if my soil is moist/wet and depriving the roots of oxygen are you saying by flushing I'll get rid of some hot whatever's in the soil and get some oxygen back to the roots as the water soaks through the soil. Don't want to go drowning the ladies again. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  19. I changed to Just Cannabis at the 11th hour. I'm learning the hard way by planting directly into final pot and hopefully pull them back from being oxygen starved. I've also drilling a few tiny holes in the side of the pots, might work in helping to dry out the soil. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  20. I didn't want to say anything. Seeing I'm using this comp to learn the art of growing every bit of info is useful. Some may agree some not but each to their own. I've given the plants a light dose, let's see what happens. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  21. Update time. Here I was thinking I was blessed with a plant with minimal stretch only to find out the girls were drowning and getting a little chilly on top of that. Chilly because during the day the top half of the cabinet is open. Not anymore. I put a fan heater on the bases for a short while and then raised the pots off the floor by a few mm. I've also exchanged the clip on fan for a bigger one to help dry the pots out. Fan blowing above but not directly onto the plants for a gentle breeze. I have also taken a pencil and poked holes into the soil to try and aerate it. Drying out slowly but surely and at 17 days from potting I have stunted plants. Got myself a thermometer to help understand and control the cabinet environment. If any eagle eyes are wondering about the readings they are the garage temps.
  22. Big apologies. They were in the sun for about 3 hours to try and warm the pots up to dry the soil. Temperature was cold outside so I put them back in the cabinet with a heater fan blowing on the pots. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  23. Ha ha. Don't joke man. Just glad the sun was out my side today. Pots already feeling way lighter and back in the cabinet. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  24. I think we were all wrong on the plants looking thirsty. During a trimming session I got to thinking what I did different this time. Pop seeds in glass. Germinated seeds in jiffies. Jiffies into 10l pots. Nothing different so I started thinking further back. When I prepare my pots I give the soil a good soaking and let them stand outside to dry out while seeds are in the tot glass. Bingo. I'm indoors now and I've realized my soil in the pot is still super damp as we have had miserable weather this side. I'm drowning the seedlings or was I think. Got them outside today in the sun to try and dry them out bit. Hope I'm not breaking any rules by doing this but save plants is top priority. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  25. I understand all that it's just I've never added anything but water to my plants. Since growing indoors, well it's a totally different ball game and I'm constantly learning. I've learnt to always pay attention to the basics. Good soil tick, good genetics tick, good light tick. I'm busy trying to get my cabinet environment correct now then I can tick that as well. When you say feed what are you talking about product wise? Busy reading up on seagrow as I've got some on hand. This stage of the game is new to me, feed wise. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
