  2. The wife sent the kid and myself to the village to stock up on baking supplies so I put 300 bucks in my pocket and found this. Ph sits between 6.5 plus - 7. Moisture needle sits on wet 8/10 on the scale. Mmmph. Last time I watered was Thursday. 750ml. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  3. Fair bit of info to help make my mind up come Friday. I did do a light igrowdagga Epsom salts spray now though. Now you guys have me thinking heater (have to order) or moister prob (village nursery has a duel something). And who the FCUK said golf was expensive. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  4. Gonna find out. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  5. Been looking at probes. Our borehole borders on the verge of spring water. Gets tested regularly as it's used for the propagation tunnels and piped directly to the drinking water. Small filter on kitchen taps and that's it. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  6. This seems to be the problem.[emoji115] When I noticed in the begging I upended those pots and dried the soil out and added perlite. Been very careful with watering since and soil seems to stay moist but on the wet side. Pots have massive drainage holes and are lifted off the ground. Really starting to think its the Just Cannabis soil. Bad batch maybe. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  7. Good advice all, thanks. Reason I entered the competition, to learn. I think it all started with inexperience planting into 10l pot indoors. No problems outdoors. And now trying to claw my way back. At the end of the comp I think I'll condense the thread. It might just be a good read on how things go wrong and solutions if I manage to pull through. 8. When I first spotted the problem I added perlite, helped a bit but not much. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  9. Borehole water from Atlantis aquifer. Ph 6.5 - 6.7. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  10. Yep. Minimal water but soil stays wet as.. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  11. I very rarely take medication for anything. Something my grandfather said to me years ago. Never take chemicals be it drugs or medication. Keep it natural if possible. Suppose it's a mental block of sorts. Will be starting a feeding schedule Friday though so all info appreciated. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  12. When the next watering comes I'll be starting with some sort of feeding program but so much conflicting info on the web. Unfortunately no means to test ph. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks for the reassurance on the cold. Yeah I'm off watering for 5 days or so now and planning on starting again Friday or if the plants let me know they thirsty before then. I'm new to cannabis soil but have been working with plants and soils for years and man something just doesn't feel right about this soil.. It just refuses to dry normally. 14. Yep. Unfortunately I have to live with that now. Got some molasses so gonna read up on that as I still feel uneasy about using the GHE nutes. Organizing one of these heater's to see if I can improve the environment. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  15. So I think my cabinet temps dropping down to 12° overnight is not helping. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  16. Can you post a pic of your cabinet from a distance. Looks like you have a diy like myself. Maybe double check that light isn't getting in during dark time. I also drape curtains over my cabinet just in case I missed a potential leak. Just my 2c as I'm still a novice but I always go back to the basics and work my way from there. 17. Flip day. Mid term report. Firstly sorry for the overload of pics. 55 days since seeds put in water. 49 days since seedlings have been in soil. So I planted directly into a 10l pot and stunted growth due to soil still being waay to wet in my opinion. I carefully removed plants and repotted into smaller pots. Soil in 10l pots I spread out to dry then added extra perlite. It seems to have helped but I think the soil still stays on the damp side for a long time. Plants recovered somewhat after two weeks in the smaller pots and were repotted into the 10l pots. They still seem to be battling though. Temps max: 28.6 min: 16.4 RH max: 71 min: 39 Water 750ml once a week or so. Feed & nutes: Tried Epsom salts in the water a while back. The second last water I gave a half dose of GHE tri part. Bio neem spray every two weeks. Not very happy at this stage but on the bright side I can see a root or two popping out the bottom of the pot. I think that's everything covered.
  18. Sneak peek. Full report tomorrow morning.
  19. Those bricked up areas will be your week point to make a hole going by todays building standards. Unless you did it.[emoji16] Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  20. Hey bud. If one of those walls is an external wall you could try putting in a few air holes. External wall should be a cavity wall so don't think it's only one brick thick. Builders should have duckting/air vents you can use. You can also use 110mm plumbing pipe but be sure to stuff a ball of chicken wire in it to keep out the creepy crawlies. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  21. Thanks bud. 10l pots with 500-750ml water. I've got a feeling it's as you say. The roots are battling down there. I'll give the nutes a go and see what happens. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  22. Knuckle test says ok. Soil moist about an inch down. Watered lightly once the last week and a bit. Soil seems to want to stay soggy even with the extra perlite. I'm not using nutes but did add Epsom salts the last water. Hopefully get into the village soon and see what's on the shelf. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  23. Yeah, grow and learn hey. The hard way in my case. Would there be something off the shelf from a village nursery that I could try? Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
  24. Thinking maybe my original balls up and the soil hey. Been careful with watering. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk
