  1. Thought I would add a quick update.

With regards to the 50w LED floodlights that I’ve used, they work great! I’ve added an extra one at the top, that’s 250w of LED lights in a 1.2mx0.6m tent. I’ve moved the propagation box out and thought I’d just leave it close to a window in the house. The more space in the tent the better.

The following plants are in the tent.

WASHING MACHINE - a mother plant on the top row producing mass amounts of nodes. 16 currently waiting to be cloned. The 9 bottom right in 5l pots have been vegging in 12cm pots for the last month or so. They were transplanted into their final pots at the time of photo. The 10 in 12cm pots up top have been potted from rooting in jiffy’s at the time of the photo.

NORTHERN LIGHTS - 2 plants to the left in 5l pots. The one is struggling from a potassium deficiency and the other recovering slowly from LST. Hopefully one can be a mother.

JOCK HORROR - looking perky in the bottom left in a 5l. Possible mother and seems to be doing good. Dense node stacking.

PEACH CRESCENDO - on the top rack in a 12cm pot being LST trained with 3 tie-downs. This will become a mother and I will run future cycles with clones from her.

GORILLA KIM - still very young vegging in a 12cm pot far right on top

@Saurus howz those lights working out bro?

@awildmeme did u end up getting ur lights? Are u using them?

@Naughty.Psychonaut any updates how your 4 ladies are doing under that 50w?

@ORGANinc. howz your 150w working out bro?

Hey man. The 3x 50w lights are doing great so far. I'm so far vegging a washing machine clone which is doing very well. I think the strain helps too because it's growing super fast. I rooted it and transplanted it into soil on the 28th of July. The other photos were taken last night the 11th of August. I'm also busy vegging 4x Northern lights and 1x Jock Horror.

@Saurus howzit brother. Just catching up on your thread.
Wanted to know how those 50w LED veg lights are working out for you?

Watsup man. I've gotten 4 of them in a veg/propogation/mother tent. So far just user them for propagating but will soon be vegging ing the pots.

  4. @Saurus Hey bud, so one of my plants was dropping and others had nutrient burn. So flushing them helped and then I also realized I was giving them a bit too much water so that was the other issue. I was trying to LST too early because I was quite excited but I’ve gotten a knack for it now and feel confident about this grow!

Awesome man. I would've thought flushing would be the way to go. Seems like it helps with many problems. But I agree over watering could be a serious problem too. I too struggle to not over water. I guess it just feels right to want to feed it too much but instead cycling from wet to dry continuously helps so much more.

I did notice early June you said you would lst them in a week. It did seem abit early. But it's better that you noticed and corrected it by hanging back. I guess patience is the key.

Otherwise nice work. Looking forward to watching this grow.

  6. @StickyD420 thanks man. It's all great info you've left us with. I've mentioned on other threads that I have family that works in the led lighting industry. All cheap industrial Chinese lighting options. So for me seeing this gap in the market, or rather not gap but slack in service, could be a great opportunity for someone. I agree with you that if there is a great customer service people would be happy to pay the price. Thanks again man. I really do appreciate the help here.

Thanks man. I just found it now online. So I saw the option I have at R7500 but nothing mentioned about any drivers. Assuming it's excluding the driver which is meanwell (R1500 -R2000). This is all before import tax or shipping.

It's extremely difficult to find proper grow lights to import as you can see the Chinese market is just flooded with so many different options. I would love to find how these guys import etc and I will in the future build my own lights etc.

    Thanks for the help

That link I sent you now, has the whole kit as you paid for it.

Thanks man. I see now it's the whole setup. That's crazy cheap. I agree. Boycott onlinegrowshop. This is robbery

  9. Thought I'd leave my experince here too.

I too ordered a grow light off their website. I ordered 480w led bars. It took about a month to get to me after also nagging and nagging for days on end. Every week I was told at the end of the week my lights would arrive, then Monday I would be told the same storey again. It was repetitive to be honest. It's difficult to keep your cool and with no physical shop etc it's really tough following up.

On another note though. The light that I have is actually of really great quality. I've only recently started using it so hopefully will see in the long run what it can do.

    My rating:

    1/5 for customer service

5/5 for product quality and price

  10. Hey guys

So I've been reading up about soils and it's all really abit too much to be honest. I have grown in a +-60L fabric pot with soil that I bought from builders. Their "organic" potting soils. I think it's a grandmaster brand or something. Either way. I used 1x 60dm3 bag and the only nutes I ever gave were some nitrogen fertilizer. Gave it a teaspoon with water once every 2 or 3 weeks in veg and then some freedom farms fire juice once every week at 2ml or 3ml. From this I flushed for about a week or so using just my normal tap water that it's always been given (don't know the ph). I would pour quite abit of water so that it drains out the bottom quite abit everytime, but allowing it to dry over the next day or two.

So basically what I'm looking to find out is wether I am able to reuse soil in an indoor grow. For example. I have 6x 20l flowering pots. Would I be able to reuse that soil after a harvest to transfer some vegging plants into as the base? Should I just add abit more and till it abit? Any extra nutes before I use it again etc etc. Plus I'm looking to find out what's the best options for me in PTA cbd area.?

Any help will be appreciated. Thank you

  11. @1000Hills Nursery this is great info man. Really really great. To be honest this has been a thought of mine but for some reason I had in my mind that if you made a clone of a clone continually you eventually get bad genetics. If that's not the case, I will most definitely try just taking clones from the vegged clones before they go into flowering. I also like that you flip them before even moving them to the other tent. Nice tip. I also forgot to mention that I do have a couple of buddies that can help with legit clones every now and then. Maybe this will help with some diversity.

Thanks again man. Pics looks great. Very jealous. Appreciate the effort. Will definitely do a grow log when I get started.

  12. Thanks for the reply guys. This is helping me alot figure out how I'm going to run it. So the idea is to eventually have two 1.2mx1.2m tents which will be purely for flowering 1 strain at a time (4-8 plants on 12/12) with a 480w led quantum bars.

@1000Hills Nursery thanks for the response man. So the tent would be split in half just so that the top half could keep max 2 mothers going and a propagation chamber next to them, and underneath is purely veg. So mother gets clones cut and put in propagation for about 2 weeks. Then moved down to veg chamber for about 6 weeks while being trained/cropped etc  not to get too big. Then moved into the flowering tent under the 480w. If I need to use a scrog or just do some good training/super cropping etc. I will know when I use the strain I guess.

The plants will also be vegging in 5L pots before put into 20L for preflowering and flowering in the bigger tent.

@CreX The lights I was thinking of using are2x or 3x 50w flood lights in a space of 1.2mx0.6x0.9m. I'll attach fotos. +-R150 each

    Thanks again oaks

  13. @CreX Thanks so much man. So let me give you the full idea.

I want to take that 1.2mx0.6mx1.8m and basically split it in half horizontally by putting a counter/table in it. So essentially it's divided into two equal parts of 1.2mx0.6mx0.9m. The top will be "breathable" in sense to allow air to flow through.

The top part I want to put in two lights that could keep two mother plants in veg while having a propagation chamber next to it too. At the bottom I'll have the space to veg under those tubes.

The tubes aren't too expensive, I have a family member which works in the industrial lighting industry and get me them for quite cheap. The housing is also easy to get hold of. I get your point about it being really intricate. I was abit worried that those flood lights wouldn't be enough but I'll definitely check if we have some in stock. Just a question, does the 150 in the name represent the wattage? Also the colour spectrum, 6400k?

@1000Hills Nursery dude Thanks for the note. I'd definitely note the tip of not flipping them for a week to get used to the light. That was my thinking. Thanks for the confirmation

  14. Hello all.

So I have decided to start an indoor grow. Here's a list of items that I've obtained:

    • 1x veg/clone/mother tent (1.2mx0.6mx1.8m)
    • 1x flowering tent (1.2mx1.2mx2m)
    • 6" and 8" extractor fans
    • 6" and 8" carbon filters
    • 480 watt led grow bars (3500k) (flowering light)
    • Pots, PH meter, Propogation chamber etc etc

I know I've left out alot of the finer details but this thread is rather in finding perfect vegging lights.

Assuming I have a strain that flowers for 8 weeks, i would like to vegetate for 8 weeks if possible (or less). The lights I'm looking to get to veg from clone are Eurolux LED Grow tubes 9w (2ft). I want to spread out about 14 of them staggered in the 1.2mx0.6m tent. Thats 14x9 watts for roughly 4-8 plants (126 watts). The lights will be able to be lowered etc. Would the weak vegetating light and then extremely strong flowering light make a huge impact on the plants? Maybe when putting them in flowering I will gradually increase the wattage over a week to 480watts? Anyone have experience using those tubes?

  15. Hellloooooo there.

Haven't ever thought of joining a forum, but here goes.

Excited to check out what everyone is doing and learn some tricks along the way.

I have very limited experience with growing but lots with reading.

    Looking forward
