Honestly in winter, those HIDs are fitting the purpose tremendously. I thinking if adding an extra 400w-1200w for heating if opting for cooler lighting solutions, you behind on the bill and behind on the environment. Well played @420SA

Be nice and ask them to put an invoice for 50% off actual amount for customs, got to thank @Prom for guiding me through. https://yuanhui-led.en.alibaba.com/
  3. I got it off Alibaba, I think it was 1400 without delivery, I got 2 and paid under R5700 with customs. Arrived in under a month. I’ll send through the specific company when I can go through my mails
  4. Ya they are particularly powerful grow lights and offer the best spectrum. This is the 3500 with far red. Maybe it will help my plants finish quicker.
  5. An update on the babies. I’ve made a few small changes, nothing drastic. Fan and new light installed, gone with a 240w quantum board, in an effort to save on electricity. Eskom are ruthless. They are probably going to get a dash of something nice tomorrow. Possibly microbes, epic and molasses. Continuing on without fish for now. Humidity is around 70% Temp maintaining between 20-24 Dicondrah planted and waiting to sprout
  6. What source of nutrients are you using?
  7. Only other thing I can think is nutrition, how do the girls get fed? There are lots of good foliar bug you can use that will combat PM, many of the bacillus species, I use them when I remember, before flower. But I have not flowered in this beautiful weather as yet
  8. Are the plants in the corners more susceptible?
  9. I doubt your problem is airflow. It seems you have everything you need. and the plants do not look over watered either and quite healthy. I'm scratching my chin honestly.
  10. Apologies, I see you have all the extraction setup in place, is everything in the best place to achieve highest functionality?
  11. Looks like a beast of a grow room, getting the airflow right is quite tricky and if PM pops up, then you know there is just too much stagnant air somewhere. Then also another thing contributing to PM is plants not having enough CO2. Thus the need to bring new fresh air from outside in and Exhausting the hot air at the top of the grow space. How is the intake and exhaust? I managed to keep PM at bay without having a proper exhaust, and just re-cycling the air in the garage(in and out of the tent). I was not ready to break down walls and still doing good with out the destruction. If you have a proper exhaust and intake, your plants should have adequate CO2 if not, get a 5 Gal bucket, fill it 1/3 with warm water, completely dissolve 4 Cups of sugar in it. Then drill a small hole in the top, once you ready to place it in the space put 2 tablespoons of brewers yeast, don't stir, just drop it in (its a weekly thing) not super costly and will give you CO2 ppms around 1500 - 1800 in the space.
  12. Wow very very nice and neat bud! welldone!
  13. Yes, definitely will benefit. Also another thing I've kind of slowed down with is training plants, and close to the flip. So if the plant is already covering nice surface area like above, then I will merely guide the branches (only if necessary) apposed to pulling them down horizontally constantly, like 2 weeks before, let them gain some good vertical internodes (in my mind its like spring loading for the stretch) but there is not evidence backing this up.
  14. Its looking great already, and I'm sure they will turn out just perfect if you flip next week or so. But when plants become more established in the root zone, they essentially end up growing/vegging faster. Veg another 2/3 more weeks and the growth will be surprising. Also the small clones that you going to flower in there too with the other plants, I like that Idea, wondering if there is a way to separate them big pots one side and clones another and possibly elevated if necessary, just an option, then the bigger plants wont shade them heavily. Otherwise, looking great brother flip now or later! Still gna be a banger!
  15. Love the hanging oscillating models you have there, best Same way I hang my fans.

  17. I do use silica, off the top of my head, Basalt, and barley would be a substantial part of my input, then Diatoms I used to add in the beginning, and have since stopped as I feel it may inhibit microbial activity if over used, similiar situation with the neem... However the two are known for creating a overall healthier rhizoshpere due to its ability to keep pathogens in check. Works well in both forms. I've recently added more than the usual basalt into my mix and happy with the results. Dou you use it... not a question, its quite an essential element, but only one of the many many pieces of the puzzle.
  18. Either its organic, or its not. There is no in between.
  19. Hahaha I used to use silica, and the results of silica are astounding. I really didn't want to stop using silica, lol. But I do believe you can use it early enough and at a low enough dosage as not to be a problem later on in flower. Personally I just don't.
  20. Using silica is a great way to increase the cell walls. Not the cell itself, the cell itself is made of different things. Using too much silica leaves you with thick branchy plants, strong enough to hold hugeeee buds, but you wont be able to enjoy the fruits of your harvest is there is enough built up potassium in your soil which is antagonist to every single nutrient that equals big buds, this all happening during blossom, pollination, cell expansion phase (potential bud size). Fruit fill stage wouldn't mind the potassium.
  21. Yep potassium silicate, derived from potassium salts. Well there's a few ways to make it. But OMRI says it is organic. Most certainly is not.
  22. Well it seems to have worked well, I've always heard/read that mixing silica with anything has ill effect, maybe in big enough dosages.
  23. When did you start feeding silica?
  24. Unless you throw the soil away
  25. You can do it in low enough dosages with good effect until the soil has had enough, and then you in a bad state.
