  1. Lol , I'm so confused. I don't think they will take any random bud from anyone. There seems to be somewhat of a vetting process where the bud must qualify for entry into the competition, I think by means of a picture or something. And then 10 seats, if it is 10, I don't think it will be a good representation of the best bud in SA. 10 people is just too little and 100 judges is just too much I think you can draw out bias with 25 judges, get more entrants, tell them to bring less bud, I don't know, just another option.
  2. So this is based on a capped number of 10 entrants, is this correct?
  3. Ya I don't know, I feel like that's a serious operation, they are just shy of getting the license, which doesn't make much sense to me. I'm not bothered with people who start growing ridiculous amounts and getting caught. Now at least I think there will be a clearer line drawn in the sand as to who is cultivating for the purpose of reselling and who the craft and hobby growers are. If you look hard enough, articles from a couple months ago, you'll find here in WC, Hawks parading about finding some ballie with a 2,4x1,2 and 0.8x0.8 in a garage, no gun, no bullets, no other dwelms. So very possibly, they could be bolstering their services for the real Plantations, after being dicks and looking for the local goofdies I really don't think the illegal market is going anywhere, I think its very possibly getting way bigger than ever before. We've seen how they've gone about it in the states. The illicit operations are scaled up in the desert somewhere and they go MASSIVE! At the end of the day, if you are growing weed, and uncertain weather the amount looks somewhat questionable. NEVER FAULTER. Make sure you have these documents printed and ready to demand your right to cultivate for personal use. Otherwise, you have nothing to claim your rights. 1168492545_SAPS-Circular-Arrest-and-detention-19.11-2(1).pdf SKM_C65819012308440-police-directive-220119 (1).pdf
  4. So entrance is 50g minimum of a selected 10 cultivars that people may or may not be growing as the cup is no more than 2 months away. If that's the case, its highly unlikely I will be able to participate. All the best!
  5. Cool man, so do you just bring any random bud and people can judge it?
  6. Thanks again for explaining further brother, I appreciate it. Yes dogs don't understand bad words so tone is everything in those circumstances. But funny enough we don't understand frequency or vibration. This here is effective with the absence of words. Someone is in a bad mood, you can feel it but not 100 percent sure what is a miss. I will respectfully end this conversation here. We both spiritual people.
  7. I appreciate how much time you spend on explaining thoroughly what certain things mean, and I definitely see your point about stupid names. They are just names, and are specifically designed to create a response. Like you say, its all marketing. If they can get you in that state of shock about what ever they are selling, then they at least have a lasting impression. You see, I'm a bit more of the flying in the sky type rather than the natural or logical state of things. You see names, I see something else. The weed can be as good as anything bud, I just don't see the need in indulging carnal or reactive impulses. I like to read the bible, and there may be some people who think they have it all figured out, and surely a book from way back when isn't the answer to a new and transformed world, but at the end of the day, given the time to understand and you will see, the relevance is uncanny. Everyone has their own perception of things, bound by our own limitations, we cant see further than that. We are just unable. That's why logically some things seem one way and that's the end of it. Now going back to the weed, if given the chance, I by some flook had to smoke either of the 2 and enjoyed it a ''HELL of alot'' - See what I did there. Enjoyed it to ''DEATH''. These things we being programed into us from the very beginning. Regardless, I still don't accept death or any portions thereof. Ever conscience of my undeserved righteousness.
  8. And blast off, from 7am in less that 50 minutes, the plants will be going to sleep for 12 hours after virtually 24 hours, I had the time set to 20 hours on, and would always interrupt them earlier and switch on the lights. I was doing this because the plants on the far left and right. Animal Cookies and Serbert crasher were showing heavy pre-flowering sign. That leaves me a tad bit worried how they will adjust now going to 12/12, they may have been triggered from when they were still outside, but anyways, lets see what happens. After the transplant the following was watered in on 2 separate occasions. - Enzymes from dirty hands - Kelpak half dose - Microbes - EPIC 5:2 - Aminos Then about a week ago the top dress was added to each pot - Roughly 1 tsp SEED sprouted&dried mix(red adzuki bean, soybean, barley and mung) blended finely - 1/2 tsp Gypsum - 1/4 tsp Calcitic lime - 1 tsp bonemeal - 1/2 tsp zeolite&rockdust - 1/4 tsp kelp meal - 1 tsp insect frass Then covered that with about a 1 1/2 cups of worms casting. Planted cover crops, mostly mixed lettuce, baby cabbage, gem lettuce.
  9. FUCKen Chernobyl was a horrendous event that should never be carried over as a weed strain name for Shit, dam, Fuggits sake! But in all honestly, I do believe there is power is words and names. Ill put it this way, i'm not in anyway inclined to go out of my way to find Mr Hitlers strain or Chernobyl. either way keep on keeping ooon!
  10. Hello Righteous sower, I think I got the just regarding your growing medium and feeding, it seems you are on the right path. Just make note that Autos would be best to start in bigger pots, replanting them is a waste as the stress doesn't do then well. so they will always be tiny. Unless you have perfect transplants even then it risky. If you have any photo period plants, consider potting them up possibly. Otherwise, everything looks to be fine. Goodluck!
  11. Quick update, been very busy. Total veg time 3 weeks today since transplant, flipping to flower on Wednesday, sherbet crasher doing much better, blumats are on, one application of bb so far
  12. Hmmm quite, and have you thought about looking at cheaper kinda-less efficient models? Spider Farm and Mars Hydro's new LEDs look very sick

    Running

I run sometimes and always thoroughly enjoy it , but not as often as I go to the gym. And I'm always baked when i'm doing exercise.
  14. So there is the argument and something that i've thought about personally. The 240w qbs are great and work very well, they are just very strong. I'm going to cut mine in half and extent them out to 75cm. Upgrade my 1m to a 1,2m, and move to totes @CreX. Will do 2 strains in each and still have flexibility in that regard. Abit off topic but, indoor growing is all about flexibility, and with soil, you to need flexibility too, so that's the reason for the totes. Will be easier to keep the soil malleable, the size and different states of the soil. But back to lights, bar lights are still cool.
  15. A rationale? I think to broad a term. The government is unapologetic about their open-ness to regulation. In their minds they’ve been too open haha. I love the active stance though, the country is filled with people asking questions, and rightly so. Which ever way it goes, they always stick to the status quo. The Medicines Act. If every decision made is dependent on the wrong foundation. Then we not making progress.
  16. Not much to update here on week 10, been a slow 2 weeks, but cant blame the plants, its been hot and yucky lately. The Ginger tea is finishing up nicely, might get the chop sooner and SSC slower behind, but is a huge plant and is still maintaining good health, so I don't have a reason to cut her yet. Will probably let them go another week or 2
  17. Ya i'm also wondering how my plants are going to fair, will just have to roll with it.
  18. New on the menu, we have… @SkunkPharm Boomhuys strains - Wilson zero (Oni seeds) x Lotus head (Bodhi seeds) - Wilson zero (Oni seeds) x Slurricane (In-house genetics) @Totemic - Sugar Widow (Deluxe sugar cane x white widow) As always, excited for these. Let’s see what happens
  19. And majority of food is still grown in the ground ☝
  20. I hear you, it’s a cool idea. Just feel like the new hype is space and all these munney munchers focus on it like it’s the only back up plan. The world is pretty much spent, so let’s look upwards and onwards

    Lebanese

Ya I also felt as though it’s the cheapest material going. But none the less, does a good job of growing plants. I think keeping the soil around is more important, you can always move it to a variety of options in terms of sizes ☝
  22. Cool figurine, I just don’t believe in salts or growing shit in space

Plants are looking top form bud! nice one! I think I may have a pot like that, is that 115L or something from Hydrobiz?
  24. Thought Id share how I plan to keep genetics around much longer, She's been up for a 3 weeks now. This is just because I thought there are a few factors that would make this viable, a decent space which is this secret Jardin 80 x 60 x 80, Which I've been having a lot of fun with, doesn't take up massive space but is still a decent size. Some airflow, ok now bathrooms fans work. Then the interesting part the lighting, I wanted to make sure there was some what enough power. SO I initially thought, hmmmm how to do this without the heat. Good old trusty T8s (have done me well in the past), I'm yet to see what these specific OSRAM tubes do, I used to use the china ones, so i'm sure these will graft better. Might even pop some seeds in the new space. All said and done, the light was about 300 bucks minus the sonoff switch. Have a lekke dag mense!
