  1. Geeperz man I must just scroll sometimes. This is a nooooice set up you got there. I want to ask what medium, but im sure you mentioned it in there somehwere.
  2. My condolences for your loss, it truly doesn't matter if you don't smoke the flower. I think growing cannabis is mainly what this forum is for.
  3. @Valda Here you are bud, the grow is on its way. There were some notes/changes, well I added 1/3 of used soil to the entire mix but made comments above
  4. Eish bru, plants finish when they realizes there is no/less food.
  5. I honestly believe that your plants are a super smooth smoke and you have your system highly dialed in brother. Where the information on this topic gets miss-lead is always back to all the variables that come with growing cannabis. @Ill_Evan said it quite well above. If you can put in all the right things at the right time. You are in essence running at ''optimal'' more consistently, as best case scenario allows tent growers, ending with a plant that is more adapt to using everything is has. Now if you wondering weather to flush or not, ask yourself one question. Did I, at any point in the grow think that more = More, then there's your answer.
  6. This topic again lol. Cant agree more with this statement. I have not watched the video. However, all the plants reserves are supposed to used up somewhat by the time of harvest. This ensure the best cure. Then smooth smoke. Chlorophyll is the green pigment, we know chlorophyll is not just nitrogen, its many many other elements and compounds. So, in my mind flushing is quite necessary with nutes. This is just to get the plant to use up all reserves. (FLUSHING in my mind is just watering on a normal schedule) Some say its not necessary, which is fine, people are allowed to have their own opinion. BUT logically, if not flushing. You gotta really be super scientific in your dosing approach and understanding what the plant is using out of that nutrient to finish with a smooth smoke. Maybe they feeding such an insignificant amount towards the end that it really doesn't effect anything negatively. Also a possibility.
  7. The plants are settling nicely, except one sherb crasher on the right, over watering prior to the repot. All plants don’t drink the same. decided to do some training on the clones, the gg#4 (only seed) got topped. Animal cookies grows like a beast, Quattro kush look super intriguing and GG#4 is looking strong Gave them a spray of Epic 5:2 for the heat.
  8. Yes, then it should be a winner! I want to try their White widow from greenhouse seed co as well.
  9. Keen to see that blueberry hashplant by bodhi turn out!
  10. Better update on week 8, almost at the finish line, just been getting water then the dqxslurri small yielded 50g and the tall yielded 76, will drop a smoke report in the coming weeks
  11. Ratios are dependent on what I need more of, and observation from the plant... Or amending through a soil test.
  12. I have will have to give you some sort of idea of what application rates to use when applying, but its really a "it depends'' type of answer. All plants are different and pull differently, So when talking soil-less mix which is just a normal potting soil, the re-creation of real soil I guess. Then things go pear shaped very very fast. They loose their structure fast, its hard to maintain good biology, watering has to be on point for small pots. But if you tick all boxes and the plant has somewhat exhausted all the nutrients in the soil. I will put half of the amount above back in the soil and thoroughly mix in. Id probably leave out the rock dust on consecutive re-amends The smaller the pots, the less room for error in-terms of soil chemistry.
  13. Thanks for your input brother, Yes I will be doing a top-dress along the lines of the recipe, Cool will do.
  14. Oh hectic ... Ya I wouldn't put anything in that soil. Its got a shit ton of stuff in it, and the ratios are out of wack. Major base cations out of balance. Flood the pots with water first if you want to add above.
  15. How are you liking that bat guano?
  16. Watching that soil testing episode it looked like ff classic had ample nutrients, maybe it’s somewhat dormant if that makes sense, when did you give tea? I still use ff to dilute my mix for autos if I ever get a chance to grow them, last one didn’t pop. I had that dqxslurri mother so she’s in the ff with my soil 1:1, I plan on feeding
  17. Ya eish, FF looks to be less than decent growth. You need some Biobizz there bru!
  18. The thought has crossed my mind more than a couple times. lol, Half a tote full of soil, still have the ease of moving around conveniently, and plants go wild.
  19. Yeah man, I’m really enjoying tweeking my mix here and there and seeing the positive results which is cool, yes brother, your plants are on fire chom I still think the real power of organic systems are not seen often. I must commend That Jeremy guy from build a soil, saw his last grow and he had 3 20l pots. His biggest plant of the 3 yeilded 184g with minimal veg time. That’s insane. im having difficulty accessing the file, could you kindly copy and paste the recipe in here so we can have a look. Thanks brosepf
  20. Good day and a well day to all you garden people of SA. I wanted some variety to smoke and I thought it would be good to see how the soil works with different genetics, so I’ve decided to grow these plants in the soil mixed and partially assimilated above, now the new homes of GG #4 Sherbet crasher Animal cookies Quattro kush and one Jelly bean outside to flower i must make a note and inform all that of the 60l of soil above, +- 30 have been added so a third of used soil from the dqxslurri, The soil might need some help towards the end but in all likely hood not as the worn out soil was pretty much on balance with a lack of calcium. This was solely because I wanted a new home for all genetics, and with the short veg time the plants will do well in something less nutrient dense, however, plants would do fine in 100% concentration, but then the ideal situation would require a longer veg, which won’t be the case as we will be flipping in 2 weeks or so I let this soil sit for 2 1/2 weeks in total. the plants were needing the repot.
  21. Its most likely the dimmer, same thing happened to my QB. To test, connect the unit directly to the power source and leave the dimmer disconnected, it should run at full power which would be easy enough to see.
