  1. Now the fun starts , good luck for flower bud.
  2. now there's a blast from the past! Welcome buddy
  3. You can chop them at anytime . Once it's matured it will contain the same about of cbd and thc weather in flower or veg
  4. No I moved away from chemical solvents a while ago. I have had just as good a result from using water as my solvent as I had from RSO. A friend of mine has one and swears by it
  5. Looking good bud. It's really hard to stunt a cannabis plant , give it ideal conditions and tine and it will recover to appoint were you would never know know the difference. If you do have a male don't just chuck it , cook with it. It won't be mind blowing strong but I can guarantee it will give you a nice body buzz.
  6. They guys overseas have adopted a great little desk top distiller that works really well. You can find them on ebay. With this still you can produce your own high quality solvent as well
  7. That's the right way to do it bud , you won't find it much cheaper any were else. With 10l you can make a lot of oil , if you going to be doing it often look at getting a still . That way you can reuse the solvent a few times
  8. And what's the other 3%... more than likely water. Water is a solvent in its self but you do t want to much in there. oils are used to treat sick people and you have to get the very best solvents . Get a well known brand and know what's in it
  9. That's why people like to use stills to make oils that way you get most of your solvent back at it does cost a small fortune.
  10. Most outdoor in sa is unfortunately sativa heavy. Indica does make for a better extract but personally I like to use 70% indica and 30% sativa . As outdoor goes you get what you get so if you wanting to know the strains you using you would have to use indoor. If outdoor is all you can get its by no means a bad oil and will help. Indica is used to help control pain while the sativa will give more of a euphoric feeling , this is why I like to use both.
  11. Make your own bud. Outdoor season is coming soon and there will be a lot of cheaper bud floating around. You going to need about 50g indoor or 100g outdoor a month to make enough consitrate , per person that's being treated. You want to get as much product into nth person that they can handle. There is a ton of info out there and I suggest you do a lot of research before you start. A good place to start is to watch rick simpsons video and move on from there
  12. The key word there is "good" I have seen some really really bad oils being produced. It's all about what solvent has been used for the extraction and the purge it has gone through to get rid of the solvent. There unfortunately are a lot of dishonest people out there wanting to make some quick money and they will not use the correct solvents and not purge them properly. I personally take oil every day as well as my whole family , ypu need to find a reputable person to make it for you or make it yourself. You have to remember you are already dealing with a person that is sick and dieing so you have to make sure what they get won't hurt them even more , which bad oils will do. Cheers GLO
  13. All good bud , what about starting bud of the month? As in dried and cured bud
  14. Definitely ph issues... those meters suck and are no were near accurate enough for hydro. They sort of work in soil but I still wouldn't trust them to much.... then again I haven't used a ph meter in years....Maybe they have improved
  15. Weather in organic or hydro roots popping out the bottom holes after a few days is perfectly normal , roots are curious things and love to explore there limits . All you are seeing when the rooms pop out the bottom holes is the root exploring it's new home. Cheers GLO
  16. They weren't to expencive I think i paid about R600 for 4000. I put the details of the bugs on the first post. For a specific applications they work well. They will die off in temps about 27 and if ypu have used an pesticides it will also kill them. For indoor applications I would rather go preventative with neem or pyrol. But for me they did the job it was late flower and they stopped the borg from destroying my crop. Personally I think they bare more suited for outdoor or greenhouse aplications
  17. Hi bud , sorry didn't mean to come off so harsh on the cooltube... I was tired lol. They better than the plain reflectors but in the world of cooled reflectors they give the worst coverage. There 2 schools of thought on the fan and none fan ballasts. Some say the fan blows a lot of dust into the ballast which decreases the life span and some say the extra cooling from the fan increases the lifespan. I have both and to me they pretty much he same and haven't noticed any difference yet
  18. The best place for a cooltube is in the bin they are crap compared to cooled hoods. I have both and and it's not even close in comparison. The reason why digitals run so cool is because they have a 0.99 power factor while magnetic ballasts have a PF of 0.6 at best. If you test the amps that the different units draw a magnetic ballast draws about 40% more power than a digital ballast. This is why magnetic ballasts get so hot 40% of the power they are drawing is getting converted to heat
  19. More than likely that's root damage from transplant , give it a bit og time and monitor new growth
  20. The give exellent service and have good products
  21. Agree with the other... I would be worried about that tube , will be very risky. Personally I use a marine grade stainless steel tube
  22. @OnlyTheGood not forcing anyone to post what they don't want to bud but without active members that do post this site won't last very long. @everyone else , very cool guys thanks for meeting my challenge! Even with ajcapetown photoshop pics
