  1. Ladybugs and Praying mantises are nature's best predators against outdoor cannabis pests I feel. Spiders are also not bad but they weave webs on your tree. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  2. Mine is turning out quite okay, a bit bigger than I anticipated but it gives me some nice ideas for smaller spaces Maybe test your runoff bro... The curled leaves look to be indicative of a slight pH problem... I could be mistaken, but just check.
  3. It's pretty dope. But that tall Indian guy, Nolan or something... Just be wary... He's relatively new there and just out to look for lucks bra... He seems like one of the owners friends and doesn't really fit the criteria to work there... He isn't a people's person and can be intimidating in a way. Everyone else that works there was super chilled... Its a nice vibe and the place itself looks dope... Music playing, pool table upstairs, bongs to borrow, a dab bar and munchies available. Nolan is more of the "old school" types, might have been a dealer at some point - he has that vibe. I just didn't appreciate when he started hinting that he wanted to open an alcoholic bar on the upper floor - because that's not what a smoke lounge is about... Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a drink from time to time, but it doesn't belong at a weed lounge... That place had a lot of potential in my eyes before he came there. If you're gonna go there, get the indoor... Greenhouse is kinda overpriced and you will get ripped off for outdoor - so just stay away from it. I had the guy I mentioned try to sell me some shit outdoor for 60/g, and their indoor started from 130 if I'm not mistaken... Not the best prices, but the experience is worth it. Go with a few people if you're unsure, it'll help it feel more comfortable. I wouldn't go there again if that ass is working there - it's a personal thing... But if he's off, that's my go-to spot. If Ayanda is still working there, get to know him... He's a great guy [emoji1362] Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  4. Damn. Okay cool bro. Would've been interested in working for you. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  5. There's also Purple Haze Lounge in Durban... As well as Bohemian Beach Bums. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  6. Are you in KZN bro? Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  7. Those are all side branches, I topped the mains. There are new growth tips on the side branches so hopefully they will grow upwards as mains Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  8. I've never been one for flushing anyway, just water twice in the last 4 days. I'm so glad they're finally put this debate to rest [emoji23] Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  9. Here's a quote from Dirty Ninja on NukeThreads "For cannabis, bottom threshold for optimal growth and photosynthesis is a DLI of DLI of 22 would be: ****Going lower than these numbers will still grow cannabis, however yields, bud density, potency and THC percentage may suffer. 24/0 schedule: 254.6 micromoles/m2/s-1 18/6 schedule: 381.5 micromoles/m2/s-1 12/12 schedule: 509.25 micromoles/m2/s-1 For Cannabis, the Top threshold for optimal growth and photosynthesis is a DLI of 65 moles per day. ***extremely important notice, only go up to these amounts if you are using supplemental CO2, do not go this high if you are not using supplemental CO2 as you will actually slow down photosynthesis and waste energy. 24/0 schedule: 752.31 micromoles/m2/s-1 18/6 schedule: 1128.465 micromoles/m2/s-1 12/12 schedule: 1504.6 micromoles/m2/s-1 The generally accepted guidelines for artificial light PPFD in flowering are this: in a 12/12 PPFD of at least 510 micromoles/m2/s-1 for the low end of optimal intensity PPFD of at least 800-1100 micromoles/m2/s-1 for perfect optimal lighting without additional CO2. PPFD of at least 800-1500 micromoles/m2/s-1 for perfect optimal lighting WITH additional CO2." Just some additional info. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  10. Lmao no I'm serious bro... This was my Inzane in the Membrane tree that got waaaaaaay out of hand for my space. There were just too many side branches and she started growing staggered nodes really young, so it messed up my training.. I took 6 clones, did a whole bunch of defoliation, and asked my mate to stick her in the ground outside to see what happens. Its a true Bush... It had some crazy growth and an insane amount of side branches. He stuck it in the ground and tied all the branches down in the hopes of creating new mains. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  11. Here's what mine looks like so far... Need to get my Al plates drilled and tapped, then it's time for a jack and assembly! Need to find me some compression springs to put between the top steel plates as well.
  12. A 100w blurple isn't bad really, but the QB75 would work some magic [emoji1362] Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  13. Aaah, okay I get you. Thanks for clearing it up. If you're aiming to be below a certain cost then you gotta do what you gotta do, I've been there. Just 1 more thing to add in that case... On a 18hr light cycle, the 525w of cfls would cost approx R100 more per month to run than the 368w of leds. I'm sure you know this but I just wanted to highlight it for anyone else that may be reading. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  14. Could you possibly hook a brother up with a link? If it isn't too much trouble. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  15. Thank you sir!... I'm dreading setting up an electronic automatic watering system because of the price of these damn pumps, lol. I think I'll build myself a small one out of a 5V motor and some blades [emoji1362]... Initially I did want to run a black tube but the clear was cheaper. Black tubing would be ideal to avoid algae growth but I haven't experienced that yet with my clear ones. It also makes it easy to spot any blockages or restricted flow due to air bubbles. I need to make more of these anyway for my new grow box so I'll probably go with black tubes then since the concept works and the prototype is performing well without issues [emoji1362] Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  16. I'm still happily using this system, haven't had any complaints so far honestly... I did try it with the black nozzles sticking into my medium, but I prefer them facing upwards to get that slight bit of 3xtra aeration. Strange that your coco doesn't like water, usually that shit soaks it up better than a sponge. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  17. I had a DIY cfl unit... Had 16 x 23w bulbs in them. It was severely inefficient and the power draw was that high for no good reason. 100w of cob light gave me waaaaay better results... Not to mention less heat. I would chime in more on this thread but I struggle to understand the reasoning behind driving 500w of cfls for like 1k, when I could have spent half on cfls and get a cheap blurple for like 700 to drop in the center of that fixture for better PAR and spectrum. I'm all for experimenting and DIY so I'm intrigued to see how this works... Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  18. Noice!.. Looking forward to it. I've build a complete 12V microgrow box as well... I'm pretty sure the entire thing draws less than 25-30w. Thinking of using it as a cloning station again. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  19. For anyone that may have been following... I gave away my Inzane Bush... It because too much for my small space, so I took some clones and donated the tree to a mate to run for next year's outdoor season. I built a new grow box, got a lot of threads to update and some new ones to start. Exciting stuff really, will get it done tonight hopefully. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  20. It's can look like this when; 1) the lights just came on and the tree isn't really away yet 2) you've just watered the tree and water hasn't been drawn up yet 3) tree needs some water OR 4) light is just a tad bit too close. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  21. Lmao, still with the meme game Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  22. Thanks for the read bro! I really appreciate it... Documenting your grow really helps as its easy to figure out what you did differently if something goes wrong. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
