  1. Read through this and had a quick question, one of my friends is in a similar situation... What about growing autos outdoors? I know they won't reach their full potential size due to less light, but could someone effectively harvest year round with autos outside? Is it advisable Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk

  3. Honestly, for this comment and anyone that wants to ask about how those kind of pics didn't make it. As someone just viewing the forum and participating, I feel that those images are awesome, yes, but there isn't something uniquely memorable about it. You may have taken time and put in effort to take the picture, but honestly it looks like a good advertisement picture for a strain against a black background, which isn't anything out of the ordinary, and isn't that original either. Don't get me wrong, they're beautiful pictures. But this is a competition to judge a winner, not who has the best photography setup. I shoot all of my pictures on my phone and sometimes find myself almost all the way on the ground to find that right angle, lol. So I'm pretty bummed I didn't make nominations either. Just enjoy the spirit of the competition peeps. Who knows, maybe you'll win the next one. I'm a new member here and mean no disrespect, just thought I'd share my opinion as it may make a difference. 4. Haha, I have the same issue man... Finding some pretty decent games but have no company to game with... I find CSGO very limited with what modes you can actually find a match in. Majority of the players are usually on a single match mode and waiting for other matches takes over 10 minutes. Anthem had potential but honestly doesn't really hold your attention as a game for more than a couple hours. Very repetitive with not that much as you explore. Other than GTA, I recently have been killing endless hours on Rust that I got off steam. Its awesome, played with friends or alone. People have logged over 1000 play hours on the game, and the nice thing is that the servers get wiped every so often. I'm over COD for a few months, but I might get Black Ops 3 for online as the player base is still quite huge I believe. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  5. Bro, I've done some math on it if you're interested. Even thought up a breaker system to operate 24hr appliances separate from entertainment & lights, etc all with fused breakers and with the overall circuit grounded. It was a while back and for future projects but I wouldn't mind trying to go through some of the math again. I'll need to get updated prices though Solar + battery is the best option right now I feel. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  6. Nice selection of strains man... Trees look good also.. Subbed [emoji1303] Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk

  9. Back with an update! Okay so it's been a while. There wasn't much to report on so I waited until I could compile something worth reading. The Black Fire was looking a bit sad and much smaller compared to the Inzane about a week ago. I just continued to feed them both and on the 3rd of May I decided to do some LST on them. The Black Fire received way more tie downs and she bounced back really well. The Inzane is experiencing some uneven growth but I'll try to even it out with LST once I transplant them later today. She may fill out more of the tent by being trained flat so I'll have a look at how she sits before I decide to remove any growth. I like the structure of the Black Fire better, and I think the Inzane would do better with a true mainline or just being the only one in the tent - she's got too bushy growth and stretches like crazy. They're both due for a defoliation later today as well, I'll try to make another video like the last one so you guys can see the difference a bit more effectively. The first 4 images are from the 3rd after I tied them down, and the rest are from just now (first hour into the 6th of May). Enjoy
  10. I could just cut of the plastic dispersion cup off these ones... I'll do it tomorrow. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  11. I was thinking about this last night. I considered making some out of a sun-visor for now, like little cone shaped ones to fit around the bulb as is instead of having to cut open the bulb and fix a new reflector to it. I also thought of moving the bulbs to the corners of the fixture instead of along the sides (besides lowering them which I still have to make alterations for). I think it would be better if I replaced the 2 x 28w LED bulbs for 6 more Osram led bulbs and have them along sides as well as in the corners. It would draw 2w less but have a more even coverage. That UFO is putting out way more light than any of those bulbs so it's making this design a bit more complicated. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks for this [emoji1374]... I didn't know they released this product. Will check it out.I'm sure the bottle will last a while also Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  13. I've tried this... Wire them in parallel to a 12v power adapter with an Amp rating slightly higher than the sum of all the fans you want to run off it. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  14. Haha, yeah I know, I know. I'm saving up for a qb kit and some other bits. I'd just like to test out having a perpetual grow before I commit. I've had success with each of these lights individually before so I'm seeing how far I can push all of them together. The bulbs have been used for vegging and cloning before with success, and the plate has vegged and flowered a microgrow with great success. 1) Thank you sir, I try to not buy anything new unless I absolutely need to. 2) Thanks for bringing that to my attention[emoji108][emoji2533]. I was more focused on balancing out the spectrum with the white bulbs so I didn't bother to check if all of them are giving appropriate lux levels for their heights (I say lux because I have no way of testing par). I have a feeling I need to raise the middle plate and lower the white bulbs a bit. Won't be too much trouble as the whole fixture is made of 4 pieces that can be unscrewed easily. 3) I can raise and lower the fixture easily, there are metal hooks on each corner and a loop of string through all of them, enabling me to change the height. Thanks for stopping by and helping me out man, I really appreciate it. It's gonna get going pretty soon. By the end of next week hopefully. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  15. My light has a uv diode so I'm pretty sure that helps a lot, but I always make sure that there's enough airflow. Its essential.. Any stagnant pockets of air or areas with too much vegetation up against each other are prime hotpots for mold. Unfortunately with dense colas you can't really avoid it if the mold starts from the inside... I'm gonna try some home methods to decrease humidity when it comes time so I'll update on that because I definitely can't afford a dehumidifier. Lol Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  16. Thanks, I'll try those pHs, I wasn't too sure on whether or not to treat it similar to hydro because the grow medium is pH balanced to 6.5 I will let it veg for a bit more, but I can only fit a single 20L pot in the tent at a time so I'm planning to use 2 x 10L pots this round. I understand how tree size vs bud size works, and I'm not aiming for maximum yield this run. I simply want to taste the strains and make some clones for next harvest. I have problems with high humidity and temps so I try to maximise airflow around and between the leaves... I plan on lollipopping them after they stretch a bit more. And yes I do water by hand so it makes things much easier. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  17. Cool, thanks for the info [emoji1303] I'm gonna get a fan in there for extraction then have a go at vegging something in the box. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  18. Yeah the lack of equipment is a pain. I know they won't die, I just wanted to see if anyone knew if it would be worth the effort. I'll try to keep the lights low to minimise stretching and get a small fan for circulation. Haha, it is my only option other than starting each grow from seed in the same tent. Thanks [emoji1303] Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  19. They're in a craft soil mix, has coco in it as well I think. It's Freedom Farms Formula 1. I do pH every time, but I fluctuate it between 6.2-6.7 over 4 feedings to ensure there's nothing being left out. They're in 5L smart pots right now, going into 10L ones. I do plan on letting them get bigger, and I don't plan to train them much anymore. I've found that they grow quite rapidly when undisturbed so I'll see where they're at close to the end of week 6. 23. So I gave them a light defoliation last night around 10 or 11. My lights run from 14:30 to 08:30 to keep the temps a bit lower, and I did do the defoliation much later than I wanted to. The Inzane is going along as expected but the black fire has very uneven growth. I'm still keeping to my time line and I plan to flip to 12/12 in the next week and a half. There isn't much more training to do so I may transplant them before flipping to help them settle in a bit better. The pictures were taken not too long ago, and here's a link to a short video of the process; If anyone would like to follow me on Instagram, my handle is at the top (@frostynuggets_420). I post all original content with a few videos here and there. I'm sure you'd enjoy it.
