  1. Haha, you're 10 bucks out bro!... I haven't started my alcohol brew yet, lmao. I was thinking about it last night. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  2. Well, it's been more than a few hours but; Greetings everyone! Lol Update time. The tent is looking awesome right now. I changed the timer to 12/12 and flipped the bloom switch on as well. They're due for a feeding when the light comes on later. They're also in for a major defoliation in a few days... Let's hope it isn't too much for them to handle. So I took on a small project that took me about 45 chilled minutes to get done. A Small DIY CO2 generator. I know some of the advantages and disadvantages of running CO2 in a tent and how to properly use it, but I figured it couldn't hurt even though I have a vented setup. I'm not gonna seal up my tent, try to control climate and all that stuff, it's just something new to do and maintain. Please don't hate, lol. To make the generetor; - I simply rinsed out a 2L bottle, filled it a bit over the label with tap water (my tap water is pretty clean @67ppm). I know distilled water is better to use but I wasn't up to waiting for some to get delivered or setting up a quick distillation apparatus. The cost is minimal this way. - I added almost a cup full of brown sugar and shook the bottle until all the sugar was dissolved. - I made a hole in 1 bottle cap for the sugar/yeast mixture and hot glued a pipe in place for the CO2 to travel through as well as to serve as a detector in another bottle. - I added a 20g sachet of dry, high foam superbrew yeast to the bottle and shook it up a bit (closed with a normal cap) first to mix it up. I then screwed the cap with the single pipe onto this bottle and left it aside to allowe some time for the mixture to start reacting. - I made 2 holes in the cap for the "detector" bottle, 1 for the pipe from the first bottle submerged in water and the 2nd to channel the CO2 to the circulation fan with both pipes sealed onto the cap with hot glue. The pipe is submerged so it can develop bubbles as CO2 is being formed. This is so I can monitor how active the mixture is. - I tied a small hand towel over the yeast mixture to shield it from my grow light and placed everything in the tent. I'll maintain this yeast solution by emptying out 70-80% of the solution out, filling it up with fresh water and adding another cup of sugar. This will be done every week or so, I'll judge by how many bubbles per/s can be viewed at the detector. The process creates byproducts that will make the solution toxic to the yeast if left unattended for more than a week or 2. Here's a short video on the setup; https://www.instagram.com/p/CAgmEdQh96P/?igshid=5rkucicrj7bt I'll put up a few pictures of it also, in case the link doesn't work for you. I've included a few shots of the girls as well. Enjoy.
  3. Lol my bad, I did think they looked a bit sad but I knew what was wrong so I didn't mention it in the update. Thanks for clearing it up for everyone else [emoji1303] Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  4. I'll get some pictures up in a few hours to show you guys how they're doing. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  5. I'm flipping them tomorrow, had to get them hydrated first. I'll let them bounce back up (should be fine by morning) and from the next light cycle they will be under 12/12. Their current appearance is due to my negligence... Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks for the read, and man you have a sharp eye. Its not over watering or root issues... I neglected them for the past day and a half, and they've missed their watering, going a day and a half too long without having a drink. I've finally managed to get a break to give them some water after taking those pictures. I feed the 4 different pH levels throughout the week, not 4 times a day. Sorry about the ambiguity. 7. Aaand here the Ethos Strains are; Inzane on the left I gave them another defoliation a couple of hours ago and I'll flip them soon. Just waiting for the to-be clones grow out a bit more. Hopefully it doesn't get too crowded once flower is in full swing. The first 2 pictures are the before shots, last 2 are the afters.
  8. @PsyCLown sup bro, do you think I should give them 1 or 2 more days until I flip? Was planning to let this be the last veg cycle but I could use a second opinion. They haven't gotten much taller, but they sure are bushy. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  9. Reading up on lighting a bit will serve you well. A lot can be adapted to your grow or found by looking for a product that's not necessarily well know, but has the right specifications. Something like the Bavagreen fixtures, with UV and IR on separate switches. You would need something with a more square output... The Mars TS series has really good par over a 1m x 1m, but with shipping and stuff it ends up quite a bit. I haven't checked the latest prices though. Which light are you planning to get? 10. Monster cropping... If you veg it out that will be one branchy bush Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  11. Yeah but there aren't any uv or deep red diodes on the boards... I wanted to know if he'd build a light for me but didn't get a reply to my comment. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  12. I would go with the one with added reds, to help with flower. The UVA diodes will also help prevent PM to some extent. I'm also looking for a new light, but I think I'm gonna wait to order some from Kingbrite, double the wattage for like a 1.5k more. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  13. Haha, thanks bro... And all the best with your grow. Can I just ask, why do you keep them in the fridge? Is it not too cold for extended periods? I'm genuinely not sure so if you're doing it for a valid reason I may just change how I store mine. I just have them in a metal tin in a dark cupboard as a fool proof storage method. I'm planning to switch to flower in a day or 2. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  14. I forgot to add that they got transplanted into the 10L smart pots on the 7th as well, before the LST. The first picture of the roots are of the Black Fire, second is the Inzane.
  15. What's up everyone; so I've managed to put together another quick but informative update.I haven't changed anything with my methods, just did regular maintenance and fed the trees when I needed to.I did, however, change the nutes to flower ratio to help kick start the transition week - I plan to flip to 12/12 in a day or 2.I will include respectively named pictures so you guys can see how they've progressed. The first picture is just for the thumbnail on tapatalk - no filter shots for days. The summary of what's happened since the 6th is as follows;7th May - did some more lst and trained the canopy flat again8th May - watched them bounce back10th May - they filled out quite nicely12th May - more lst to train the canopy selective defoliation13th May (no pics for this date) - defoliation for airflow and light penetration (the last 2 pictures were taken on the 15th - I moved the Inzane to the left of the tent)They're looking good. I feel like they're ready for flower but I'll let them get a bit taller first. I also want to take some clones to I'll let the side branches get some length also.So yeah that's where we're at right now. Here's another defoliation video; Enjoy.
  16. Yeah I understand... Aluminium tape or screws with washers work on Mylar as well. You'd just have to be extra careful not to tear it any more than you need to. I feel the Mylar will offer more bang for your buck in the long run. But the boards are the cheaper, easier option. Although the prices may be similar after you factor in paint and stuff Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  17. Have you not considered just getting the Diamond Lightite Mylar? It's a bit more expensive but you could reuse it elsewhere if you decide to take it off. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  18. This took some steadiness, but it's so worth it [emoji1362] Entry No. 3 The #NoFilter shot of a leaf off the Inzane tree shortly after defoliation.
  19. The completely clear rolling paper is known as glass wrap I believe. I have a few left after using 2 from a box a long time ago... They've been sitting in the cupboard for over a year now [emoji23][emoji23] I'm pretty sure the Silver Riz mentioned above are Rizla's Slim papers. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  20. The RAW 12" paper has never let me down hey... Rolled and smoked about 5 or 6 to date. Its a slight mission if you're rolling it alone - I roll the 12" with the weed in it, not roll the cone and fill - but the paper burns even if you pack the joint right. If you've got someone to help you it's a lot easier - they can hold the paper box open in a 'V' to support the rest of the joint while you form and roll it. OCB is now my brand of choice... I used to love the RAW unbleached papers with the cross print on them, they burnt extremely well and hardly have a taste, but the quality became wildly inconsistent in my country as of the past year or so with the papers burning unevenly, glue unsticking and the odd tear when rolling just where the smoking tip is. OCB Slim (Black) & Super Slim (Blue) are what I look for in stores now. I've tried the new Rizla, but I still don't like it. It still has a bit of that signature taste of the older bleached pure white Rizla papers. The old Rizla is almost as thick as printing paper, lmao [emoji23] Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  21. This one hurts... Sorry bro Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  22. The Blue Dream I got was a real pleasure to grow, honestly. The bud turned out amazing also, they're from Nirvana seed bank. The high was well balanced and really intense if you hit a slightly too big bong. The tree was resilient and responded extremely well to training. Could net 500g/sq m easy with some HST indoors. 23. That's true. It is pathetic... I guess the police need to have big busts in order to show that they're doing work, but the media needs to really get with the times. Something as simple as an old word makes something seem so dirty. I've learnt to ignore old school negative opinions really early. They don't really have a reason as to why weed is bad, is just is. Seems like the people that run the media have the same mentality. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  24. I hate the word also... My friends and I use it to describe shitty street weed, lol. Dagga comes in sloops, lmao. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
