  1. I join @SkunkPharm with the potassium bicarbonate. If the plant was outside, must be longer as a week flowering by now, we are beginning of March. Copper and Sulphur work.. but don't spray it on flowers you want to smoke at the end. Is not good for your health as some will stay back inside the flower.. isn't good for the taste anyway! Spray that on during flower and you will get very unfriendly tasting smokes.
  2. If you run a decent size tent, which produces a fair amount of heat, consider to use the exit air as dry medium. The air coming out of the flower tent should be in their 50ies if humidity is high, 40ies if low. I live a 15 minute walk from the beach.. so humidity can go really crazy. And due to the huge swings, letting it hang can suddenly cause more issues. My dry regime is rather easy but a bit work intensive. As I work with Clones or Autos, the plant size isn't over the top. I remove all fan leaves before hanging the whole plant in my air circulation room (second filtered one goes out directly under the roof), room also harbors the AC if needed. When things go really crazy, there is no way around the AC or losing the harvest.. as soon as I am happy with the dryness of the buds.. the sticks and stems still way to wet, I remove the undressed buds into jars with hydrometers. Lock the lid and as soon as the hydrometer goes over 65%, the jars go open right under the fan flower tent exit for 2 hours. Then lock and start the game again till I have em around 60% for 2 days.. 58-62 is my range of happiness. The buds will start to cure till i decide to dress them. In any case I only dress once the jar is balanced. The goal is never ever to dry below 50% that makes the smoke bitter, no matter what you do after. But 8% is a good gap and you come to the point, where you get the right humidity in 2 ventings (under the tent exit air stream). Friend just lost half his harvest to mold inside the bud, hanging it in a dry tent, even 2 dehumidifiers running.. was just to moist for to long and 75% air moisture, the dehumidifier can't win that if you suck in all the time air from outside. If you lock the outside inside air flow and run the AC, you get way better results and win humidity wise, CO2 concentration will drop over time, but.. better as to moist anyhow. Salt doesn't work, you can only separate the water if you put heat in again, the salt will re-crystalize.. but then just run a dehumidifier, last thing you want during summer is more heat. My flower tent is more or less shut down since mid December, not fighting the humidity and heat.. if I have enough solar power up to run the AC free during sun time, I might grow again in summer.. March I put things back up.. and simply avoid the crazy times.
  3. It regulates itself by demand and offer. ^^ I know a grow shop forking good weed for 65 a gram. They even had visit from the cops.. but they only checked if they have Tik or shit like that. They completely ignored the weed in the shop and was over a kg at the time of the visit. My personal guess is that law wise you can act like the draft from 2019 got implemented and the new draft is to go 100% legal. They were forced to implement by 2020, they failed to match the deadline.. what does mean it is legal by terms of the court... they said must be implemented in 2020.. so now.. cops don't even seem to bother anymore. What is relaxing ^^ 65-80R a gram... that is a bit the range down here.. and if you pay more.. then I would suggest to put up a little tent and grow your own weed. Not even your landlord can prevent you from doing so.. you have the right by law to grow your own weed. And not letting someone doing so is actually limiting their right as citizen.. and you can sue them... ^^ the world starts to walk the right path again If you get charged 150... look for a new source.. is my suggestion. Not everybody is as greedy as the person next to you
  4. 150... who would today still pay 150 for a gram? Prices in my area for indoor hover around 65-80 rand a gram. Not sure will still be like that after April when Eskom goes 20.5% up in price again. 250 you can ask for a 75 micron indoor hash.. ^^ 150 will for sure cover your cost when you run a small tent to grow your own weed. 65 and not that sure anymore, could be a even game.. depending with what quality material you work with. Funny that somewhere prices went up the last 2 years... should have fallen rather then raise.. loads of people lost the fear to grow at home. ^^
  5. Shouldn't it go off when you join the dimmer wires? Open is Max.. closed is off.. as I understand.
  6. And if you find no creepy crawlies... give em some CalMag
  7. All in my seed storage for now ^^
  8. I was surfing and ran into some seeds i want to try, Sour Juice Regulars, at Cannabist. Communication is still not their best.. but can't really complain as beside the 12 seeds i bought, they packed 40.. forty! extra seeds. As the seeds I wanted were 50% reduced too.. hell of a deal Wasn't the fastest.. but we had Xmas and New Year also in between, also was in no rush, so happy chap on this side of the deal
  9. Time to catch up a bit. Due to the puppies my time was so low, that I didn't invest enough time in the tray of Lemon OG Haze. But we did the smoke test and 2 plants made it in the next round. I give those a bit a better run and see if there is "more" Lemon coming out. I wasn't to happy, even with the 2 winners.. I expected more. To see how far I can get.. I made a tray of JetFuel. 16 clones on a 1.2x1.2.. and see how much I get out.. I used a screen to make my life more simple and less time consuming.. watering is just a mission as I didn't tray feed.. humidity was to high, didn't wanted to add more moisture. Have a tray with Gelato and Slurricane beside, looking good too Also want to give @Bay Seeds a big Thumbs Up (This one: ) @Stinger96 left me a bud of his Strawberry Vostok and a pack of Regular Autos.. the bud was so nice and tasty.. I put the Regs over right away. There was a clear taste of Strawberry.. amazing! Their grow behavior was a bit poor.. but I had em outside at the start. Will do a nice run of more soon, if the second taste is as sexy.. I have a strain I want to keep. Local starts to impress more and more If you look for a Auto to try and cant make up your mind.. look no further give the Strawberry Vostok a chance... we smoke tested a few strains that evening.. the Strawberry Vosok won by a mile. Late addon: You saw that Eskom wants to raise price 1 April by 20.5%?
  10. So far all good advise... I also add: Never ever put the clone box in direct sun light for longer. Will become to hot inside and cook your clones... and I really mean cook ^^ I work with Jiffies.. and mine stand in water during cloning procedure around 26 degrees all the time. The greener the stem, the longer it takes.
  11. I also sit here and not sure why i grow photos Made 6 White Widow autos... 10 weeks seed to harvest... kicks any 18 weeks photo so hard in the nuts bud size wise.. I cant do that with photos dry at 62%
  12. over 800 ppm is more for final flower. For DWC i prefer to let the feeding solution stand for 24 hours, before they get it. Second ph check. Every mistake you do in DWC will instantly effect your plants. I wouldnt start with DWC and learn on soil first, way easier as the soil helps you buffer your mistakes to a certain degree. Clean out and read up what mix is recommended for veg stage with the fertilizer you use... stick to that. DWC demands perfection... wrist multiplied by Pi will not do.
  13. Sorry... very little content but puppies also finished their first obedience class ^^ Made a pic of a tray JetFuel... 1 month still to go
  14. I think the activera product is their addon for coco. But that has nothing to do with calmag.
  15. I have 20 months cured weed in jars. Is a different world of smoothness. We made a few curing experiments, 2 weeks, 2 months, 5 months, 9 months, 18 months. After those curing times the weed clearly changed in flavors too, beside getting smoother and smoother to smoke. After 9 months THC starts to slowly decompose, but still hits you very hard. Very little left of the 20 months cured amnesia haze but smell and smoke is just top class.
  16. I agree, have a super skunk showing the same leaf coloring and is starvation. They run on 500 micromole PAR, so not light stress for sure. It still bugs me that you gave each day calmag and ran into issues. Is this a thing with Coco?? You have to feed that much? If i would swap to coco, still using my biobizz fertilizers, what would change on the feeding, what is a must to add for coco? Curious what the coco dudes recommend... not that i plan to swap
  17. Uses less bags. I changed my drying procedure a "little", and get the plants to 62% as fast as i can, without using any dehumidifiers or AC. Once i have em on 62% steady for 3 days, take all helpers out of the jar and lock to cure. My over all goal is to never drop below 58% but reach the 62% as quick as i can.
  18. 80 rand at hydroponics.co.za no guessing... between 60 and 64%, otherwise you have to do something. No need for a freeze dryer...
  19. Sorry, late response, was out of the house. Uhhh Coco.. I have zero experience with Coco related issues. Never had light stress with LEDs.. i usually only add calmag if I see a issue, rest the soil buffers.
  20. What else you feed beside each time calmag?... if you use the cheap nitrogen based version.. is simple, you dont have the start of a deficiency.. you are middle of nitrogen toxitity. If you feed calcium each time... plants need so little of it, you can exclude that right away. Nitrogen looks way more to be your culpit here but need the full list of what you feed to get a better picture.
  21. I usually buy soil bags in quantity 5 and up ^^ one pot does not compute, Sir
  22. Sorry ^^ Puppies.. amazing how much they can keep you busy.. OK.. and played some New World with friends.. but the Lemon OG Haze went on growing ^^ The 12 plants are on a 1x1 area.. please ignore the Slurricane, is just parked at the side (1.2x1.2 tray) as I have no room in my dark area. Will move in 3 days and doesn't count towards the result in any way Lemon OG Haze are all mainlined to 16 main colas.. the outside ones just had other ideas about growing speed.. still middle flowering. All need support to keep standing. My Gelato (Orange Sherbet (Auto) & Thin Mint Cookie (Photo)) is after 6 weeks more or less done, fading hard. Haze I have set for first week December.
  23. I got mine during winter.. wasn't on the shelves, asked if they have and they got me 2 from the stock area. Super friendly.. came back with one, as I just asked if they have 40cm desk fans. Gave him a smile, need a second one.. and he went back fetching another one So if you don't see any.. ask, they might just have it in storage during winter. The takealot version is here: https://www.takealot.com/goldair-40cm-oscillating-desk-fan-white/PLID17260415 Had to swallow about the price.. I remember, I bought my two 2 years ago for 229 or 239 a piece.. in that area.. double price but both run fine after 2 years, zero issues with those Goldair fans. The first year they where standing and oscillating none stop.. till I hung em upside down to free floor space. Uhh, knocked em over a LOT while running.. one blade even chipped and I used Alu tape to just shape it back.. running .. and running those I really give my stamp of approval i honestly knocked em of their pots more than 20 times each.. reason they hang now.. no more knocking over ^^
  24. Uhhh I had 2 Salton non oscillating fans, a 30 and a 50cm.. both stopped working within a year. My 40cm oscillating fans from Takealot or Checkers Hyper still run fine, the takealot ones now into their second year non stop running, SCE, paid something around 220-250 per fan. I avoid Salton.. quality of the motors seem to be crap. The fans look like new.. just the motors gave up doing the job.
  25. Yeah, you are right, 3/4 year ^^ i smoke 6 joints a day on average hehehe 1.5g per joint.. 8-10g a day.. about 250-300g a month
