  1. @CreX I think this dude is the original Avocadotecher.
  2. Yeh it works best with both red wriggler and nightcrawler worms. The reds go up into the pod first followed laters on by the nightcrawlers (ol normal earthies). This is very much new and few are experimenting with it, pretty decent method, dudes even using it indoors.
  3. Nice one bro, congrats on the harvest Be sure to check out schwazzing defol method. Especially good to mazimize yield in small spaces. Works well if plants are healthy and being fed, which is all groovey in your setup. Nice flowers man, do u have her as a mom, doing another run u could max her out propper.
  4. #Avocadotech is a cool little method our brothers over the pond developed for their living soil gardens. The idea is to load up a half a avoshell with certain organic foodstuffs for your worms and microorganisms to chow down on. The ol feeding your soil methodology, growers drop "pods" as needed for various stages of growth. This is largely a living soil method and not too sure if it is applicable inany other soil/medium setup. I made a basic flowering mix for my 2 girls in flower. Dandelions, apples, fresh aloevera, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, bit of avo, dolomite lime and some mycoroot + a imo. Tried with a see through container as a test, pretty sure many things can get used as "pods". Highly recommended for living soil grows that want more worm and microbe activity
  5. Shot for the kind words @1000Hills Nursery , its really chilled, i dig hanging around the forum, seeing all the growers plants and methods. Sharing knowledge and learning more about Cannabis cultivation is the best way to up my own game. I think there are quite a few OG's around in SA, but like any craft, some are weary to teach all of their secrets. As a breeder I would like as many growers as possible to grow super hot bud, cause those guys and girls will really appreciate locally bred fire. Hopefully some more years we can also have the titles of master gardners here in SA. Big shoutout to you as well dude, it takes a lot of hard work and dedication, visable in your current project! Im sure more breeders will follow suite and start collaborations here on 420SA Sounds lekker @420sake any nice winter colours popping up after the frosts? The Indicas will most likely start to finish off fast now.
  6. @TheUltimateNoob from all that you mentioned above, the two plants have received different amounts of water (please correct me if I'm wrong) since the 60l flush, in a 20l container that is for me a proper flush, enough to affect the nutrients previously contained in the soil. If you flushed with plain h2o it's pretty safe to say that the BlackFiredoes needs some food, BUT only after the plant starts consuming more water, 60l flush into flower is about 3:1, quite a shocker to the plant if its plain h2o, usually flushing with a half strength solution enables the grower to leave the plants to recover for up to a week in some cases. Also being a immobile element deficiency, the plant needs more time to recover than say a Mg deficiency. Personally I would wait with the BF, just not the best scenario if it was flushed with plain water, because the medium is not balanced. Sorry if I missed the details about the flush, just assuming it was with plain water. If u flushed with halfstrenth or added nutrients in the last flush, I would just wait on her and let her recover before feeding/watering again.
  7. If the plant is not drinking much it is best to let the root zone recover a bit more. In coco letting your medium dry out too much can cause ph spikes that cause lockouts. The grower needs to judge according to their plant, the type of container and so on.
  8. Overwatering stress from the flushing would be my guess. Must be a more sensitive strain than the insane.
  9. Yo @TheUltimateNoob , so this is a immobile element deficiency (showing from the top), my guess iron, maybe calcium, or at a stretch both. Hope that helps
  10. Depends how many main branches u were going for, looks ready for Manifold technique inmo.
  11. I noticed with very phat leaved varieties that defoliation during vegitative mode works well, providing there is enough time to recover before the flip. Sometimes I tend to grow for the aesthetics, nothing quite like looking at those FAT leaves holding a baseball sized nugs The electric watermelon sounds lekker man, and HSO doesn't really breed with crappy genetics. I think you will find some stellar plants, depending what h are looking for. The f1 polyhybrids have been responsible for a lot of the new flavors in the States, sifting through some random crosses will reveal some dankness I'm sure! Sounds cool man, making f2's of the GammaBerry will allow you to do a decent shift through Darkhorses parent stock as well as grandparents used in that line. Exciting stuff, Darkhorse doesn't really play around with any crappy genetics either. Correct me if I have the breeders mixed up on that. If the beans you bought from DH is f2, then the IBL will be the f3 line from his original f2's. You can look at it as your f1 ibl cross on his f2 stock, as you will select males differently to DarkHorse, would technically not be the same as his f3 selection. Your f1 ibl generation will be a parallel line to his f3's, assuming the beans u recieved are f2 ibl. Sound lekker with the krypt, if u keep them all backed up u have quite a lot of options, assuming the mom is going to be a keeper. I would put (in time) the 2 males to pollinate the female, that cross is to increase variety in the genepool. That would be the genepool backup. Then do 1 male to the female at a time, or at the same time if u can keep them separate. This is to get an copy of each of the males on the female, should have less variety, but a bit more stable. Then u have a Krypt breeding project for the next couple of years. I would then shift through those three lines to get a idea of the cross and potentials of the males. I would also gooi the males on strains I already know well, to see what they add on the f1 cross. Holding thumbs for your package from the post office man! Some nice strains you order bro
  12. I grew some NLAuto from RQS on 24/0 a while back, was in a 20l container and plant was over 1m when I chopped her. Didn't have al the wattage on her so maybe she stretched a bit, but super healthy and lekker smoke. 24hr cycle will be hundreds
  13. Nice one @Ill_Evan ! Wielding that banhammer alongside the Captn and @PsyCLown ! Respect bros, keeping 420SA looking noice!
  14. Sjo thanks for the kind words bro, always trying to learn more and enjoying the craft, hopelessly addicted to MaryJane since I was a youngster. The rewards of harvesting and blazing the kindest bud is what its all about, really lekker to be a part of the 420SA forum, peeps with a badditude in this game just need some better weed thats all Litchi flavor sounds lekker man, never smoked anything like that before, and with those nuggs are worthy of a sifting at some point in time! Those big ol fat leaves grow well in certain conditions, and shows that serious indica heritage, with this hybrid it should be easy to see the kids leaning more to the Electric Watermelon side and those that keep their fat leaves should lean more to the mom. My guess is that she doesn't appreciate much defoliation during flowering, sometimes the case with the heavy indicas. Its good that you got your favs backed up man, the only way to know most of the time is to grow out the prodigy from the males, assuming one male gets used at a time, or controlled breeding with all three males, when the traits you like carry over, then you can select whichever male to use again. With the elite breeding stock it might be that all the males do their jobs and pass on quality traits, from my experience, the fruitier smelling males do pass on fruity flavors quite well. Some breeders prefer the male doesn't pass on many traits, then select for a more neutral smelling plant, I have never tested this though. The gas flavors I have less experience with, but have heard that you want a almost gerkin smelling male plant, not sure what the Krypt is smelling like, but would definitely consider making a batch of f2's (krypt x krypt ? ibl) if possible, would love to get a male donor out there for my WeddingCake cut as well as my BlueberryKush. If you are keen we could try to preserve the krypt as a IBL, backcrossing to moms that are found worthy along the way. When travel is allowed again you are most welcome bro, also would run any males from your batch to see what we get, but at the same time, just keep alive what you can, the Krypt and the BruceBanners are legendary, but looking at your lineup, it all looks flippen Dank bro! I will have to take some cuttings from her at some point, so might have some rooted gals here for you when you arrive, maybe it will be for summer holidays! Sharing cuttings is nice way to set our own "forum" standard, and in time many of the local growers will prefer to get seeds or clone stock from the local breeders. If you dont mind me asking, which strains are the males you kept out so far?

    Hey

Welcome to the forum @Gee88 , best damn hobby in the whole world! Like Skunkpgmharm mentioned, quite a big layout when starting indoor, what kind of space do you have available as your grow area, usually a good starting point to evaluate costs etc.

    Yellow Leaves

Could be those plants are hungrier than the rest, or less light penetration to the bottom leaves.
  17. Yo @1000Hills Nursery looking fire man, setting the bar nice and high for next season bro You are going to rock the SA grow scene dude This PineappleSkunk has very nice budstructure man, nice colour as well, I assume she is tasty and a good high, what is in the nose on this? Looks Terpy Epicness Awe now we talking! That's a decent number of males to choose from. Have u got a solid idea what kind of Male you are going for, or perhaps a few males? Super stoked man, the males look legit, some beefy okes in there and some proper phat leaf bras as well, dig it my bruu. Blessings and buds for u and the KZN crew that side!
  18. Lekker man, ja the grow is looking fire dude Is the righthand side plant the Granddaddy Purple or the Gorilla?
  19. Killer budstructure on the right hand side plant, also a nice stretch, if flavor and high is on point she's a keeper! Just flippin love that structure
  20. Jis @Bospatrollie2 a 7500l sounds epic, sorry to hear its prob full of sand now.. It's a great addition to a regenerative setup, I only have a few hundred liters, but a good amount of biomass comes from the fish, and clearing aquatic plants npw and then adds to the compost diveristy. Just love lighting up a phatty next to the pond and staring at the fishes a bit Hope I can get some koi one day, but wish they need a big setup.
  21. That is epic bro! BOSBEF@K, that is such a good use for a old or new Jojo!! I have some Ryukin (calico and normal colors) and Shibunken goldfish, but been thinking about getting them a Jojo, now i can justify getting one! Building a compost setup is a mission, I just have a plain heap right now. Legendary setup @Bospatrollie2
  22. Blueberry Kush #3 ,the muffin pheno, sticky icky
  23. Looks serious @Slartibarfast what stage is the plants at, if flowering how far into flower? Prevention is usually better than a cure, especially if plants have lost vigor from the pests.
  24. Quick update I took this picture the other day, it has been about 6 months since I started filling this particular bin. Its quite full now, I'll cover it up with some old soil mix in a week or two, then wait for mother nature to do the rest.
