  1. Decided to harvest her, she could have gone another week I imagine, but had a few PM spots on the bigger leaves. This particular cut is medical weed for a Glaucoma patient I know, so can't let the PM spread.
  2. Eish sorry about dem balls bro, it does happen in the KushCookies selection, sometime due to stress, sometimes just that herm gene popping out. The neighbor with the light situation could have added enough stress for her to herm. Best pop at least 10 beans next run, expect maybe 1 or 2 herms to get culled. Thanks for the update bro, appreciated, and best of luck with the next run!
  3. Thanks a lot guys that really helps a lot! Will check the ingredients of this caramel sugar, got quite a bit of sugarcane I can experiment with, but jis gonna be tuff juicing it, thought to just chop it up and gooi in. Will get some blackstrap when go on a shop run, sound advice brus!
  4. Any good substitutes for black strap molasses? Saw @CreX mention the sugar, could sugar cane work? I have some caramel sugar and normal sugar, no molasses, and can get a bit of sugarcane from the garden. Any thoughts on this?
  5. Blue cheese and WeddingCake aerial view.
  6. Looking fire! SUPER sticky nugs developing there, trich count no problem, very nice bro
  7. Thanks @1000Hills Nursery that's a solid favour dude! Here is a pic of my BlueberryKush (#3 ), getting so frosted up. Smells like berry muffins for real
  8. For sure man, j havent forgotten about it! I will be happy to get some beans out to you when it's overs!
  9. Yo bro all good with the BC, but u guess it kind of depends how you view it, and who grew it how. For the most it is pretty decent weed, especially from a marketer's point of view. Terps are not anything compared to my KushCookies or the WeddinCake, but solid cheesy taste in the smoke with a kind of berry aftertaste and sllid bag appeal. The high sets in pretty fast and is quite strong, some newbs will panic out I'm sure, however, the high is not long lived (compared to my usual) typical bong weed inmo. Yep that WeddingCake is from the same cut, I only got the one right now. Like you mentioned she is SUPER gassy, in the sweetest kind of way. It actually tastes like rum and raisins cake, with full gas! For sure going to try my best, this damn PM still going around so hope I can keep em healthy and lekker! Not much breeding planned this winter just a bit of sifting, and mostly trying not to lose any genetics.
  10. Thanks man , been making do with what is lying around, the bottom 1/4 of the pot gets basically just leaf litter, and then scrounging around for foresty soil. Gotta get my Teas brewing my bruus
  11. Thanks! Hopefully I can get some pretty flowers! Weddingcake had bit of PM, cleared up with ph 9 foliars.
  12. Blue cheese cut getting ready for her winter flowering session
  13. Awesome bro glad to hear she made it into the jars! Big pleasure sharing the beans, thanks for allocating the space, time and effort!
  14. Some update shots of the Hawaiin Snow cutting. She is still doing her thing, frosty for and pretty neon green flowers developing.
  15. Have been giving this some thought, how about the prizes go to "best diaries", which the judges can deliberate over scrutinize plants etc, but in saying 420sa is looking for the best diary, gives the incentive for growers to be op it. BTW well done on the previous competitions guys, thought it was pretty cool regardless, and paving the way for SA CannaCulture
  16. Sounds awesome @Bospatrollie2 , citrus on the nose is usually a good sign typical GKB sending its roots into the earth classic! Thanks for the diaries man, i owe you a pakkie from Cannabist after we unlock all these levels here in SA! Peac and buds bro, happy harvest
  17. Sounds cool! Count me in if you still need some peeps, will set up a reminder so i don't forgets
  18. It took a while but the cheese clone is finally pushing some normal looking growth. Top dressed her with a bit of worm castings/compost I found lying around (good advice from @SkunkPharm). Top dressed the Hawaiian with this as well and added straw mulching. The Hawaiian is budding nicely and I'm happy with how she is performing with colder nights and less than optimum conditions. Fed her a light dose of biotrissol 3.1.5 , root juice and kelp. She has a kind of sour pineapple scent to her, just from smelling the flower. When rubbed it's more of a banana pineapple vibe going on. Hoping I can get her to maturity
  19. Welcome to the fam @TheUltimateNoob , looking forward to checking out your craft! The frost is real, nice nugs man
  20. Sometimes even a organic mix can be packing a lot of N, how and when the microbes release it i dont always get, this has happened to me a few times over the years with adding homemade wormcastings. When I started out making wormcastings I added way too much green and not enough browns, now I know that is how to make a supercharged N casting. The BlueDream is a Blueberry x Haze, both of which can be finicky strains to grow, don't give up on her! Perhaps a basic compost tea for her can help bring those N fixing bacteria's into check, you can also try a more fungal tea, watering with ph below 6.5 will help the fungis thrive a bit more in the soil. I can always send you some of my new testers after lockdown, perhaps even a cutting if you want!
  21. Looking good there Captn! I heard the BlueDream likes a lot lower levels of nutrients than most strains.
  22. Nice one brother, pulling up a chair for this one Awesome picture!
  23. Yo @Bospatrollie2 its a total pleasure man, super awesome watching them grown organically by a true greenthumb! Looking at those nugs I think you have the very sweet Kush pheno there (almost icecream like), im sure with a few twists and turns in the terp profile. A baie lekker pheno +
  24. I usually mix up my own soils, but the Hawaiian Snow cutting just got transplanted (no-till) into a pot that I think was home to a rose before, the cutting was savaged by my dog so didn't really think it would make it. The cheese clone is planted in some old homemade soilmix that was lying around, the cutting was completely soil-less before, the mix was maybe a bit too strong. That's some solid advice, with moving house I'm still busy making my new compost heap here. Gardening in more than one spot is biting me in the butt right now, i have to make do without a lot of my stuff, including bubbler, some amendments and lekke ol compost heap. Thanks man, shot for the heads up, that makes total sense
