  1. Very nice @Bospatrollie2 ! They are super in loving it there by you bro, summer is going to be dank as hell So cool to see, goed gaan bosbefok wees!
  2. Looks like It went straight into flower, lightcycle most likely one of the reasons. Runt of the litter perhaps.
  3. Very nice looking youngsters there @Farmer Brown Are your Afghanis females, and the male selection will come from your DP? This is going to be a epic cross I think, thanks again for sharing your project with group!
  4. Thanks for sharing @Farmer Brown and a warm welcome to the group Sounds like some very nice projects you have lined up, and using good SA genetics for a Afghani cross is very exciting! The original DurbanPoinson should have some thcv % percentage making it quite valuable inmo. About the meds I would just like to mention DP crosses containing thcv could act as a appetite suppressant and cbd content can also contribute, useful for those not needing to eat while medicating. Looking forward to see your crosses, happy growing!
  5. Here is a cousin of the BlueberryKushs, she has some Romulan genes added in the mix. BlueSpaceKush
  6. Welcome @420sake , it is a wonderful experience breeding and also preserving Cannabis genetics. The landrace strains are getting a bit more rare with all the new hybrids being introduced by growers all over the world. Feel free to create a "Line-up", "Strain" or "Pheno Hunting" thread if you would like to share your breeding projects here with the group. Happy growing and breeding
  7. Week 11 Flowering Start of week 11 today and some of the girls are starting to finish up. Right now it looks like the one Choco and one BlueberryKush will most likely finish before the others. Looks like I will have to flower into week 12. Let's see how it goes. BlueberryKushs Chocolope #3 Choco trichs BlueberryKushs trichs
  8. Nice looking seedlings there @Bospatrollie2 , so long to the fallen soldier! Didnt call them giants for nothing, they are also some of the hungriest seedlings I have ever met, be ready to give em some chow when they show a def or yellow a bit, these babies GOOOOI! Happy growing bro, peace and buds
  9. I think that is a very nice tip for these fat indica type of beans. I will be sure to do some scuffing on the beans when I pop some staunch indica hybrids. The power contained within a seedling is quite a lot, given enough time in the soil they usually bust that hard shell open. Some seeds (not sure about weed) have enough atmospheric pressure to germ and crack cement. You are off to a wonderful start man, thanks for the updates, happy growing!
  10. Week 10 Flowering Couple of days into week 10 of flowering now and the ladies are covered in resin. I am only feeding some P and K at the moment. The RH is still not grand, some days it does not go below 60%, pretty crappy, but on the flip side, the Chocos and BlueBerryKush's are not showing any signs of PM or budrot at this stage. Going to try take em all to 11 weeks at least, lets see how it goes! 11. Welcome to the forum @DankZolMan , in my honest opinion if you grow nice healthy plants, it should be ok, however 5 degrees in summer will cause some issues, slow growth, perhaps lockouts and maybe worse if its a weak strain. Autumn and early winter low temps will ensure a ripe harvest with plenty of colours. You can consider pulling a shadecloth over a frame for the very hot days, should get their temps down. With all that said, a super healthy indica, hybrid or sativa would most likely enjoy a nice hot day, providing they have adequate water, ventalation and not frying in a pot. Experience is the best teacher, perhaps start a diary and we can follow along. Peace and buds
  12. Best of luck with the grow @highchome , subbed The beans are 2017/2018 stock and they do seem to take a bit longer to pop. Very nice taproot, ready for business!
  13. So stoked ill follow you diary along closely, hope they make you proud! Its a big pleasure dude, thanks for testing my beans out.
  14. Start out foliar feeding I would say, adding more salts into the medium could make matters worse I feel. What do you think @CreX ? EDIT: reread the thread and realised they are not getting all their food, in especially their mag like crex mentioned. I would still monitor ph tho.
  15. @nakes before you go heavy on the epsomsalts, let me mention purpling on the stems, could mean a variety of things, assuming it is not a purple strain, also assuming it is not a plant busy finishing up in flower. So assuming the above it is usually a Ph problem in your medium, I have been playing around with cocopeat for a couple of months now. What happens is at the wrong PH your plants start absorbing elements it does not like so much of like iron etc, usually responsible for the red veins in the leaves, and blocking out things it needs. There are some infographs here on the forum showing what gets absorbed at what PH. Figure out PH and EC in the pots first and go from there, would be my advice. I try keep coco around 5.8 - 6 ph. Was your Coco buffered with calcium nitrate? If not you might have to do a flush with calmag+, or a 1:1 flush with RO water, then a lower stregth nutrient solution if the calmag is already contained in the product.
  16. Well done with the rescue @Bospatrollie2 that plant made some solid beans and nice to see you able to rescue it! Hope it grows well for you man, next time im in a situation like that, ill follow your method, not just my dirty fingers snapping off taproots
  17. Lol sorry man, wakng and baking, its ol afr for "point and shoot". My plants look better than the pictures i take, so total noob with the camra. Yeh I thought u would hit the first place with that trich shot, tough to judge these things im sure. Congrats man, as well to @High_grade.420 and everybody involved. Enjoy the boooty!!
  18. Well done growmies! Always nice to see evrybodies skill with the camera! Its inspiring my bros 420SA is really a cool community, happy growing errybody! First place @Kgrows well done man, i might need some pointers with the ol mik en druks!
  19. Cool beans, if the wind is not a problem and they are getting enough light, my guess that soil might be the culprit. Its not unusual that commercial potting soil mixes run a bit hot for seedlings, from what I see online. There are seedling specific mixes, but I have never tried any of the brands here in SA, so can't really vouch for the results. Seedlings also love some high humidity in the first week or two of their lives. Best of luck @BigOG
  20. Hi @BigOG , the problem with the seedlings could be "hot" soil, and a lesser chance the extreme wind from the fans, seedlings can handle some wind, but full blast from a big fan could rekt them. To test if it is the soil you could try germinating a few beans in jiffy pellets and see if you get a different result. Peace and buds, happy growing
  21. Week 9 Flowering The hilbilly box is starting to smell so good, the Choco's and BlueBerryKush's really busy pumping resin right now. Finally managed to take some better quality pictures of the beautiful ladies. On the feeding schedule I have still been giving more P and K and lowering the N a little bit more, already very little N going in, fertiliser wise. Buds are a bit small for my liking at this stage, but it is due to growing conditions , and of course, the grower (ME ) created them! This is not because of bad genetics. Happy growing yall. 22. Stoked level rising! Enjoy those little danksters, hope they make you proud man. Happy growing @Bospatrollie2!
  23. My plants seem to make solid beans, I have the issue with seed caps staying on now and then. Not sure if this is a genetic trait or something to do with the way I grew them. Feel free to cull those if they continue to struggle, sorry about the stress, I hate it when that happens!
  24. Good luck with the grow @stretchy , I'll tune in, keen to see these flowers grown by you. Happy growing bro!
  25. So awesome @Bospatrollie2, looking forward to seeing your grow diary! The KushCookies is from 2018, might be a bit slow out the gates. They know their way around in the soil and should be aight. Super stoked to see this
