  1. Looking good @Bospatrollie2 The original GirlScoutCookie clone I got to work with was a bit prone to gooing a herm when stressed to much, grew them out without issues and the flavor was on point. I have seen quite a few hermies in the F2's already, coul be stress, but prob just a ol herm. The 2 girls you got is going to be naaiiicce, any good smells when u rub their stalks?
  2. @Za Weed Lover as a customer the best thing is to decide where to send your bucks, you are clearly not happy with your experience, as a customer its your right. What I meant by school fees is just that this has happened to a lot of us, use the forum as guide, i can see good advice from everybody in this thread already. Do a small seed order next, sure it will be fire. I would drop the heating pad, maybe only in winter, and be 100% sure the seedlings dont go above 25c, Best to run temps between 18c - 22c for germination. Best of luck man, let us know what happens
  3. Yeh its like school fees @Za Weed Lover stick to the forum man, it will turn out good and green keep ya head up growmie!
  4. Yeh that should do the trick (heating pad not over 22 -25 degrees), not sure what is up with these beans being sold in SA, have been hearing similar stories, some say beans are being microwaved, ie radiated, so that you keep buying more seeds. More likely they are being radiated on the way through customs in two countries, this is a issue for Orchid breeders and other plant lovers.
  5. High @Za Weed Lover , welcome to the forum! Why not get from some of Totemics beans or Canuks here at https://store.420sa.co.za/product-category/seeds/ I can vouch for Totemics beans not having much issues germinating, and sure the other beans would be legit on 420SA store. Side note, sometimes the overseas beans need a bit of pampering, but usually they come alright. What method do you use to germinate?
  6. Cannabis genotypes, phenotypes and chemotypes, nice talk explaining a bit about the genetics of Cannabis. Enjoy
  7. Looking mooi @Breadinator ! The painkiller is "clawing" its leaves, seeing it is not pot bound I think it could be sensitive to N, there could be a PH issue at the roots, or less likely but also possible, something chowed some of its roots. growweedeasy.com/curling-or-clawing-cannabis-leaves
  8. Here are some pictures taken before the plants entered a 2 day blackout period. I decided to harvest the lot together, ideally I should have harvested this Chocolope already, but will be fine with a few days extra. Hilbilly box Chocolope not in comp top view ChocolopeNL buds Tall BlueBerryKush BlueberryKush
  9. Sounds legit! Hope there is one stunning lady there for you bro
  10. Thanks for testing out my beans @Smelly Joe ! Looking forward to your diary, no worries about disappointment, hope they are fun to grow. Dig ol Mesculito hanging out with the KushCookies. Nice pictures man. Happy growing man, may the frost be with you!
  11. Going to try out using some Bokashi this season (diy growkashi), does anybody have experience with a setup like this Gro-Kashi?
  12. Week 14 Flowering Here is the hillbilly box in week 14, the ChocoNL not in the comp, and the hidden BlueBerryKush are ready to come down. The tall BlueBerryKush and ChocoNL in the competition received some Ripen in week 13, while the 2 awaiting harvest has only been getting plain water. Happy with the plants overall, serious nuggies looking almost furry with resin. No PM Poblems and managed the thrips and gnats with sticky strips and a visit from a predator plant every other week. BlueberryKush's Chocolope not in the competition Top view
  13. Awesome verigated leaf there on that one man, possibly a herm by the looks of it. They looking mooi @Bospatrollie2 mooi man
  14. Update on the pheno hunt, both plants were lovely to grow, unfortunately i lost cuttings from the #2. Both buds have a very nice Sherbert smell, especially when buds get crushed. The taste on #1 is very nice, but more of a sweet cookie, not full on sherb, #2 has candyfloss kind of taste, also very tasty. I will run #1 again and and see what comes out, this was not a optimum grow i feel. I will post on this thread when I run her again, peace and buds #1 #2
  15. Looking good The odd leaves on the Diesoline could be those OG traits showing up, sometimes the "fuel" genes are a bit weirdish looking in the leaves, then that pretty bud and that gas aroma comes through in flowering! Had a BigKush from Dinafem that leaned to the OG side, very similar weirdish leaves to your the Diesoline. Happy growing @Dojee Dave !
  16. @PsyCLown it depends on quite a few variables I would say, but staring from scratch, perhaps 6 - 8 months (not adding new biomass) in a temperate zone, could take up too a year. I have never recorded the time it takes so will record the dates etc when i started, and when i stop adding biomass. There is a way to fast forward this, you can fill up the remaining half of the bin with soil from your veg garden, after some good ol moldy mycellium networks are going. This speeds up the process considerrabily, but a lot less new soil is created. @Bospatrollie2 thanks a lot for the input bro, and I take my hat off to you and your community for doing some real recycling, and putting in the effort needed to protect ecosystems. Nice to hear this! Urban farmers need to be mindfull about where they source their biomass and such, i make sure I remove plastic tapes and discard sections that have glue on them. Dudes on farms and urban farmers could also collaborate locally, building soils from cowdung, or old lucern bales that wont get used. Cattle farming has a high carbon footprint, weed plants consume CO2.
  17. Building soil from scratch for a personal grow is not too difficult, it requires time and patience. Been taking so pics of a soilbin I started from scratch a while ago. The basics for my method is very similiar to a worm bin, except i dont add much fruit and foodscraps, mostly weed stalks and leaves with cardboard, with the odd worm finding its way in. Throwing some leftover smoothies in once in a while seems to supercharge things.
  18. Whats good 420SA fam! I am always trying to learn more about sustainable practices, whether its for growing my own veggies or Cannabis outdoors. After lurking around on the organic vs synthetic thread, I believe the only sustainable way forward is regenerative farming practices. I am guilty of buying a bottle of nutrients now and then, but the truth is, these products have a huge carbon footprint, even the "organic" ranges. Please share your thoughts and ideas about regenerative farming practices, if you are already busy with it, share some tips and tricks with us.
  19. @PsyCLown products like Terpinator, BudCandy, Ripen, etc and I'm sure TopMax most likely also uses some sort of flavor enhancers. Just to clarify I did not mean it leaves a bad taste in the bud, most OG growers can tell you, depending who grew it with what, it'll have its own distinct taste.
  20. SynthGanics bro! This probably the best argument i think. Everything is hype and marketing nowadays inmo. Finish em off good and cure em well, synthganics my bros. I would also add, most "famous" nutrients seem to give a certain aroma/taste to the weed (even flushed well), I believe they add flavour enhancers to a lot of these products.
  21. Week 12 Flowering Here we are at week 12 flowering, ladies are filling the growboksie with nice nugs and truly wonderful flavors, from fruity tang to that earthy and even some fuel! Just giving plain water, the choco 3 and hidden BlueBerryKush are basically done, with the competition Choco and other BlueberryKush seemingly in sync at the moment. Not in a big rush to chop, will see how far I can take em.
  22. I saw there were only 2 so I assumed they were fem seeds, my bad! They look good, no mutations or runtish behaviour, hope you have 2 Afghan studs there Very exciting lineup and clear direction you wanna take, good to see! Happy breeding and growing @Farmer Brown

    Help plz

Hi @Oolong83 , I am super noobish with LED's, just learning, hope to get some time in the future and try my hand at diy-ing one or two 50w lights. Is it possible to contact the manufacturer of the light, via email or phonecall, perhaps the shop u bought it at could be of assistance. Sure @CreX and other LED wizards will have some input as well. peace and buds bro goooodluck with it
