  1. It is such a Grey area.. One outdoor plant grown semi decently could set you up with enough bud until the next harvest... Likewise... A poor shitty grown indoor plant is gonna give you enough bud till Saturday. I do hope we go toward more the Canadian laws... I think they have a 99 plant limit... Or it's straight up do what you want with the plant except sell it. My advice is... Keep your grow a secret... Nobody needs to know what you do and if nobody knows, the chances are lower that cops will one day rock up

  2. Stop watering until it's dry until the second knuckle when pushing your forefinger into the soil. Over watering is a major problem amongst new growers. Remove as much of the bark content as possible as this is very acidic and strips the plant of the required Nitrogen. Keep your pot clean as the junk can attract unnecessary critters.

  4. I'm not sure where GSR get there in-house branded seeds from. Probably bulk seed bank. I've had issues with GSRs in-house seeds in the past. Poor germination and also plants that are not what they supposed to be. 100% indicas growing like landrace sativas. Okay getting back to what to do. 1st thing take off the dome. Domes are not good for germinating seeds(especially in durbs right now) as is promotes bad fungi that increases the chances off damping off when they do sprout. Pop the seeds in some damp coco or dirt or squeeze out some of that moisture from the rock wool. You need the medium to start to dry up a little to promote that sprouted tap root to grow. Now you don't want it to completely dry out. A misting here and there. And also keep it in the dark till it sprouts. Give it a week. After that take this as a lesson and rather buy quality seeds in sealed breeders packs. Dark Devil Auto by sweet seeds is one decent stable auto that I've grown and is available locally nowadays. Do some research on international grow diaries before you hit that checkout button.

  5. Both Royal Medic and Painkiller XL are advertised as almost 1:1, at around 8%

  6. I've always read that any sort of high stress training is bad for autos. I once received a free feminised blue og from attitude seedbank amongst many other freebies. All were supposed to be photos. So I treated them like photos. Topped them. And then topped those 2 tops like normal to encourage bushing out. And that's when it happened, the blue og started flowering. Harvested over 200grams at day 70. Every other auto I grew in the past averaged like 50grams-70grams. So yeah PsyCLown is right it probably depends on the vigour of the auto and when it starts flowering. With regards to mainlining in general, what are the benefits of it in your personal experience?

  7. I hope they don't set the plant limit at 2. Mainly because 2 flavours to carry me till next harvest is not gonna do it. At a minimum give us 4 plants per person. But in saying this I hope legislature is set soon so we carry out our favourite hobby in peace and inline with the law...

  8. I've so far had 100% success rate with the paper towel method. You can still take your seeds and do this method, even so many days after starting to attempt germination. Sometimes a seed can take up to 10 days to pop. It's luck of the draw, but try the method above. What I also like to do is place the germination setup (ie your two plates, paper towel and seeds) on top of a refrigerator. The low constant heat is nice for the seeds. Plain old tap water is also fine, as long as it isn't from Flint you should be ok. I think the trick is constant moisture but not drowning in water; a little bit of heat; and the seeds must be in darkness. Good luck @Bakstein420

  9. Your protection is your knowledge. Know that you are allowed to cultivate marijuana in private for private use without intention to distribute. You can reasonably argue personal use at roughly two plants per person within a household. This is not law, it is not written down or referred to anywhere in legislation. Two plants per person in a household is just a legal argument one can use once put to the case in court (if you get taken that far). This is somewhat the case in Australia. South African law does take into consideration laws in foreign nations when precedent is being set (especially now in SA while we still wait for the official legislation). Let me emphasize that the law is still yet to be written on private marijuana cultivation. Each situation will be argued on a case to case basis. In other words, the less you look like you're dealing and the more you look like it's for personal use, the better off you will be. Unfortunately then in the case of growing large quantities for yourself, that's the risk my china that is the game you play, and play it well you must.

  10. Some pitter-patter rain in the area has raised the general humidity quite nicely, sitting above 40% when it's usually at this time below 20%. Ladies look super good. Decided to top the little sister and begin LST on the big sister. An interesting difference between the two plants apart from their size are their own root developments. The little sister sprouted multiple root sites under the net pot where the bigger sister grew a stem from the one small root to the surface of the water and is the site for it's main root development.

  11. Hi everyone. Long time smoker (my wife actually gets irritated with me if I don't smoke) and have decided to start growing my own due to high prices on sub standard green. Have done a few outdoor grows and came across this forum looking for info on indoor micro grows. By the way it is awesome that we have a forum of this kind in SA. Anyway, looking forward to learning and growing some top shelf green. Cheers

  12. Day 120 / Day 68 of Flower (just over midway through week 9 of flower) These are not all 8 / 9 week strains. In fact none are considering none are ready. It seems as if the GSC and Chocolope will be taking longer to ripen, the CBD Critical Mass I am unsure of but has a hectic fade going already. I'd rather wait a bit longer as I want to make sure I get a decent amount of CBD from it. I will check the trichomes this Friday evening if I get a chance, otherwise on Saturday and hopefully I can at least chop one or two of the plants. I had a whoopsie last weekend where I bent the one branch on the Tropicana, so I decided to cut it and dry it. It's busy curing at the moment. A few pics of the ladies, not the best but at least you get an idea on how things are progressing.
