  1. That's the beauty of organics ,many methods to get to the end result . Keep those ants far away from your ladies , they will bring aphids into your grow as ants farm aphids for there nector.
  2. I have found it compacts my soil to much as it's to fine for my liking , Cannabis likes loose soil . I am so an not a fan of the PH of 4.2 especially when using more tha 30% in a mix . With peat your soil will become naturally more acidic so you relying on amendments to buffer your mix , get those amendments wrong and it will through your ph off . Personally I like to balance my base mixes and not rely on amendments so much. I also dont like how hydrophobic it is lol. If it works for you that's all that counts , I personally have tried it in a few mixes and it didn't work for me . It's like vermiculite I think the stuff is devil spawn.... other love it lol
  3. No idea it was years ago. Just seen it seems to be gaining popularity again
  4. Glad u guys are getting results from it , each to there own but I personally cant stand the stuff . That's the beauty of organics the lots if ways to do it .
  5. I noticed you using a lot of peat moss , why?
  6. Best advice is take it slow and dont overthink it. If you have never grown before I would start on a smaller one with only one or 2 strains . With 18 strains comes 18 if not more plants that will need slightly different care and can get very overwhelming if you dont know what to look for . Cheers
  7. Strips and liquid are useless . If you want to check your ph use a proper digital ph pen , you get what you pay for as well so get a good quality one. If you growing organically dont waste your money , a ph meter is not needed
  8. Hi bud and welcome to the forums . First of you need to decide if you want to produce enough oil for your wife or if you just plan to supplement and buy oil for her . The reason why I say this is it will help her a lot and if her supply stops you going to feel really bad , I know this from experience. Oils will be your best bet but you have to take into account the amount of product you need to produce good oils . You will be able to work on about a 10% yield to start with . I would also recommend a small indoor setup as you can control your final product to a much higher standard and keep the wife in constant supply. I would go for a nice with something with a 1:1 ratio (thc/cbd). Cheers
  9. Just make a cage out of chicken wire for them . Once they big enough the wild cats wont be able to stop them .
  10. If you reset my like and thanks stats how will I know I have validation in this world.....the end is near:-hilarious
  11. That's some Charlotte's angel CBD oil I did today purging . This strain gives a beautiful golden oil
  12. Just a fyi no point running co2 unless you can keep your room at about 29 degrees for lights on , you also have to keep within the optimal VPD which can only be achieved with climate control
  13. Hope you got a resealable amount of grow experience before jumping into a sealed room , best of luck bud
  14. I use multiple gavita 750 lights sealed room 24000 btu cooling co2 enricher. I have the master controller as well and run my lights at 862w (115%) been using them for about a year and am just about to replace the bulbs and reflectors . You don't get a better light and the 750w will kill regular 1000w on yield . If you have the money and dont buy gavita you wasting your money.
  15. Am I missing this section? Is theres an extraction sub-forum? Something to wt the appetite
  16. Those seedlings damped off , it's a fungal infection that is caused by the medium being to wet . Seedling dont need any form of nutrients until they start showing that they need food , usually about 3 weeks in or about they first set of true leaves .
  17. The best lesson any new grower can learn is patients . Leave it be and let it dry out . I can not guarantee you 100% it will work but I can guarantee you that if you start messing with it now you will make things worse . If it was me in your shoes (which I have been before) i would leave her be for now. Best advice I can give without having the plant in front if me . The cotyledons curling like that is often a sign of not enough air exchange in the root zone
  18. I feel those humipacks steal the Terps from the bud.... not a fan of them
  19. All you doing by not letting the medium dry out is staving the plants roots of air (oxygen,co2 etc). When a medium drys it pulls fresh air into the root zone , the plant needs this. Theres a difference between keep it moist which is fine and give it to much water and not letting the exchange take place . Let it dry a bit it wont hurt it
  20. Dont feed those seedling you will only make things worse . One of 2 things have happened , either they just laying down roots or they to wet . That size cup with that size seedling shouldn't need water for over 7 days I would say. Yes overwatering a seedling can still be an issue and you raising the chances of them damping off
  21. I hang them in my climate and temperature controlled flower room makes things a little easier . As for the buckets they do the job if you got a bit to do but for the initial 7 days after hanging I leave the lids off in the same room . I only seal the buds for curing 21 days after cutting . The slower u can dry the better
  22. It started curing from the day it was cut , what you are trying to do is keep it I the sweet zone where no mould will form . Personally I now just cut the plant and hang it at 11 degrees and 57% humidity for 14 days in the dark then they go I to buckets for 7 days same temps and humidity then I trim . You want to get that drying process actually as slow as possible without mould forming. The leaves around the bud protect it from the lower humidity and lets them dry nice and slow t
