  1. Problem with extra zoom is that it will be digitally enhanced. Just make sure the bud is lit well enough and the noise in the photo should be reduced Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  2. Lol you guys... Okay fine, here's one... I'm still working on more that are in progress. I plan to register my brand with CIPC and order the first 15 caps tomorrow. I'll also complete the website and have it online in the next 2 weeks (I've already purchased the domain).
  3. @afternoon blazer @StickyD420 @PsyCLown @Ill_Evan thanks for the interest and kind words guys. I will say that I bought a mini tripod about a week ago to use to hopefully take time-lapse videos of training and stuff, but it already broke so I'm just using phone clips on tables and things to take videos when I need to now... But its mostly handheld shots Awee, this is dope
  4. Man I need to start taking these bets... No tripod brother... Here's some pics of me in action () that my girl took a while back.
  5. I use this clip-on macro lens I got online off wish ages ago, around 2.5x zoom on my phone camera and a lot of effort to keep a steady hand [emoji23] Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  6. Thank you [emoji1374] Will be keeping track of training as well. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  7. It's no problem man, it's all part of the learning curve. I'm glad to help where I can since I wish I had someone like me or some other reputed members this forum to help when I first started - no joke. Haha, DIY electrics can be a bit confusing with the different voltages, amps, and efficiencies. If you have nothing to do one night, just YouTube some DIY led grow light basics, it will go a long way. And yeah, you're right about the wattage at 2&4m. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  8. Here's a peek at what's in the tent now. Will compile what's been done so far and post it when I get some time. Not making any promises this time, lmao. Anyway, here's the link to the short video;
  9. They would work better as sire(edit: side) lighting, a bit closer to your trees. It doesn't say what diodes they're using so it's hard to say whether they're any good for growing. BUT... At the end of the day, it's still more light. The reason I suggest using it as side lighting is because of the inverse square law with regards to light intensity... Intensity decreases exponentially as you move further away from the light source. At a distance above your trees similar to your actual grow light (high efficiency diodes), the output of those cheaper diodes will have minimal effect on the PAR, it may just alter the spectrum slightly. 10. It's something new I'm trying... Trying to make some cash to keep going... Everyone I've shown the designs to so far said that they would buy one... So fingers crossed. Edit: only issue is that I'm based in Durban Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  11. Bro, I'm currently in the process of developing my own brand with an online store. It's items with all custom designed prints (designed by me). Will be launching it on Instagram by hopefully months end. If you're still interested in supporting some local businesses by then, I reckon they're gonna be hit items. So we could talk about setting up a distribution point as well when it comes to it. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  12. Nice thread bro. Okay to start off, I'm running a COB fixture that has a 120w veg, and 240w flower mode. So keeping in mind the older tech, here are my numbers. GPW: 0.85g GPSqm: 416g WPSqm: 489w With better training I think I can raise the GPSqm a bit more, although I would like to upgrade to some QBs to raise the GPW & lower the WPSqm. Feel like I can pull off some nice numbers with the newer tech. Edit: with QBs I'm pretty sure I could cut the WPSqm in half, which would double my GPW... I'm aiming for closer to 2gpw with QBs in the near future. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  13. No problem bro. Enjoy Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  14. You have no idea, it's been on my mind for years bro [emoji23] Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  15. Lmao right?? It's a winner. Also, Cheese and Afghan sounds like a couch lock combo Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  16. Yeah that's what it's all about. You could just leave a bucket of sand outside and monitor it to see how much it warms up with a thermometer of some sorts, then just compare to see if it stays below the maximum the root zone can handle. I've seen so many grows online with buckets outside but I've never thought about it too much because I don't grow outdoors. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  17. When using LST, you want to get the growth tip that was at the top of the tree before starting, to be level with the rest of the growth tips afterwards. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  18. Yeah it's just tying the tree down so that the lower branches get more light and go through a growth spurt. Right now I say that the side branches are still a bit too small to train, but once they come up to about 3 or 4 nodes, it's time for bondage, lol. Here's a link to my plushberry microgrow journal, in which topped and used some creative lst to get a small uniform tree. You can use some idea from there. https://forum.grasscity.com/threads/harvested-the-1-sq-ft-microgrow-plushberry.1547663/ A good way to lst would be to tie the intended branches, that are growing strain up, parallel to your soil. This way it will expose all the sites along the main stem to way more light and be much more efficient. You could navigate to my profile (TheUltimateNoob) on GC forums, click grow journals, and have a look at them. Its a few grows from when I was starting off and experimenting with LST & HST. The blue dream, afghan kush, plushberry, and bonsai mother journals will help you get some ideas for LST. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  19. For my first cross when I do start, I want to use Exodus Cheese and Afghan Kush... If anyone wants to do it, I have a name for the strain also. Osama's Cheese Lol Let me in on developments if anyone's gonna do it [emoji1377] Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  20. Thanks bro, I appreciate it. The reason I haven't started breeding is because I don't have dedicated areas that I can keep separate, and I don't run filters, so the pollen will f* up my entire grow in the garage. Can't keep them outside because I don't want prying eyes, and my dog will chow these trees down [emoji23] Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  21. Fence wire and some thinner wire to tie it all together, should work like a charm. And thank you, Tomato cage, that's what it is.
  22. Lol bro I'm pretty sure it's a tomato ring... Or tomato plant ring. Fvkn tomatoes bruh, they just donated us so much of things for growing bud.
  23. Lmfao, this made me burst out laughing bro
