  1. Excited to see all the Phenos! Wish I had the space to breed these trees Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  2. The reason black buckets are better is because they block out more light from getting to your roots than any other color. The reason they're not that great in the sun is because black absorbs heat, and you don't want to cook your roots. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  3. Start LST as soon as they're around 5 nodes I would say. You can top around the same age as well, but I suggest waiting a bit longer since you're just trying to get some growth going. You can use a Stanley if you clean it off well - I've used it before to top, defoliate and take clones - although a pruning scissor makes the world of a difference. Soft wire ties are generally better since they don't pose a risk of damaging the plants skin when training, but I find that it isn't that rigid and can be quite heavy for a young tree. I use the thinner, more stiff wire for training, since it holds the plant where you want it. Be careful not to let the wire cut into the skin of the young trees if you choose this as well though. 4. For a good light, you want an even PAR coverage and decent PAR in the corners while maintaining a relatively warm temp over the period of use you intend (my modugrow unit sponsored by TELEC for review runs warm to the touch even after 18hrs). An advantage would be to have a spectrum specific to what you're using it for (higher K spectrum maybe with blue for vegging and lower k with deep/far/infra reds for flowering). Deep/far/infra reds and regular red diodes are really advantageous to have in a flowering tent as it helps the tree induce certain hormonal changes that go along with flowering. UV diodes are heavily debatable - I personally prefer them on my fixtures as it gives me piece of mind by helping prevent PM on the upper most leaves (UV harms mold - I know its UVC that's most harmful, but UVA helps also, trust me). The effectiveness of these UV diodes and whether they work at all is what the debate is about right now. UV is said to also increase trichome production, which is why they're included in some lights, but it's debatable as to if they work when you just use 4 diodes in a 240w fixture - which is why they aren't included in a lot of the other lights. Of course the total power drawn out of the wall socket will also have a big say in whether the light is good or not, which is where the efficiency of the LED chips being used comes into play... The more efficient the chip, the more usable light you'll get per watt drawn from the wall. This is subjective and everyone prefers different things although QB tech is becoming more widely adopted due to its even coverage, less severe hotspots and better corner coverage, as well as its low inputwattage. COB chips are, in practicality, really small quantum boards. They can have as many diodes as a regular sized quantum board and be a fraction of the size which means that they're a concentrated point of intense light and generally create an intense hotspot directly below the emitting diode. To give you a bit more insight on the power draw and why QBs are such a craze... My COB fixture runs at 240w from the wall in flower. I think that I could've gotten the same yield with a 150w QB fixture, or slightly less, spread out evenly over my space. I can see why people would choose either one, and I would use both as well - in different applications. I'm sorry if it's a lot of information you can use, but hopefully you can make sense of it and it use it to help you find a good light. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  5. I agree.. Sometimes they're thirsty, tired, overwatered, overheating, or just not awake properly. If you tree has been thirsty, it'll be a little while after you give it water until it perks up again. Sometimes they're just droopy because your VPD may be a bit off - which is like the plant being picky about its conditions. So don't stress so much about it. As long as they don't start looking like the tree in the pic I've attached, you're fine... Just so you know, the tree in the pic didn't die because of that... In fact it took just a day to recover - she was severely dehydrated. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  6. Also, here are those trichome shots... I took some new ones of a nug I'm speed drying to test the high.
  7. Haha, thanks. I refer to it as "Quadlining"... It works really well but I feel its more effective in a microgrow situation or ScrOG. The microgrow I did this to was a beauty, you can check it out in the grow report section, it's the Plushberry. I'm going back to Nebula Haze's method for my main tent, it's a bit easier to manage.
  8. Thanks bro[emoji1373][emoji1377]Can't wait to weigh her in... Lmao, not often you say that about a female. Don't think I've ever said it before either. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  9. Lol I just hit a small bong of a dry popcorn nug before typing the reply and I forgot the pics... Pretty intense for freshly harvested bud I must say . Anyway, here they are. I'm still picking the best trichome shots to put up after this.
  10. Lmfao!!! Bruh, I was thinking about this. Sorry fam, had a cracker headache last night, took some meds and ended up sleeping through most of today. But anyway here I am. So the harvest went smoothly. Didn't get a chance to video it because I kept the lights off, tryna save those precious terps. Here's a few shots of the buds. The DP60 came in really handy for this harvest. Humidity in the drying tent is between 62-70% Temps are staying below 23C. Buds are frost AF. I left some of the fan leaves on to protect the trichs a bit more and slow down the drying, since air humidity is randomly hitting 40% every few days.
  11. Like@GGG said. Dechlorinate first, always. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  12. Just harvested peeps... 9 weeks and 2 days of flowering. Will have a post up in the early hours of the morning. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  13. In an opened* container... But the rest is correct. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  14. Not such a fan honestly... And sometimes I'm not around for like 2 or 3 days. I also like being able to take my tree out of the tent because I'm often rearranging my space since I grow in the garage. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  15. Scrog doesn't... The other 2 do Although the Scrog will take a while to fill up completely and you won't be able to move your plants. It's generally used with 1 tree in a small space or 2 in a medium space. If you don't mind the wait and training your tree daily, then it would be the best way to maximise the use of your space as you literally will have a grid to fill out. If you choose to mainline, you can trim off excess smaller growth and keep the tree within your space, and this way you can control the height of your tree without a screen because you will get a height increase by a factor of ~2.7x by the end of the flower stretch. If you have the 3 trees already then you may just want to go with LST, and trim off whatever growth gets blocked from light or has weak stems - they won't hold themselves up by the end of flower. 16. Mainlining or fimming is your best bet for increasing yield in a small space. The other option would be a ScrOG (which could actually work out a bit better if you haven't used HST effectively before) Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  17. @Dank thanks bro @CreX thanks also... The reason I want symmetrical cuttings is to mainline them... I don't want to deal with uneven growth and then wrestle my trees to try to create an even canopy. I've always started from seed for this reason. I get what you're saying though. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  18. I veg for 6 weeks... I mainline like 90% of the time and 6 weeks is the average that I've got... Give or take 2 days. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  19. Yeah, I aim for shortest possible veg including training so I top as soon as I'm able to. No harm in waiting a bit longer Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  20. I top as the 5th node is still being developed but has separated from the 4th node completely. Worked well so far. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  21. Awesome to hear... Glad they're doing better. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  22. Liking the DIY here, but you're gonna have that hot spot in the center, be sure to take advantage of it [emoji1377] Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  23. Nice! Gonna get a nice even coverage with that number of strips. Where did you order them from? Edit: just saw that you posted it already. Thanks man Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
  24. Thank you, and Jeez, that's one hefty unit... Nice one though, I'm planning a 3 board qb288 240w fixture, hopefully will get it done in the next 3 months. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
