@Mambawana like marigolds? Quite a fragrant plant that has very colorful flowers to divert your gaze from the cannabis behind it. Was quite common to see 1 or 2 tress growing in marigold flower patches when I was a youngster.

Arrested for driving under the speed limit I remember watching a documentary where a lady who had never smoked compared cannabis to alcohol in a driving test. She was doing 5kmh down a landing strip thinking she was speeding

I have lived in Durban my whole life, of which I have spent 17 years supplementing my diet with vitamin green. @Mambawana I have tried many different "DP's", but I reckon it is all bullshit. It was a quality landrace back in the day, but now every guy from the street corner to train station sells a DP slope. Dont get me wrong, if a true DP does exist I would love to try it. It is the strain that put SA on the cannabis map. Even better it came from KZN. Gives me a strange sense of pride even though it was before my time and I had nothing to do with it. Regardless, it is time SA stamps a firm foot print on the cannabis market. And I'm not talking about shipping all our quality product over seas.

Is this like smoking nutmeg and oregano? I saw that in the movie 'Idle Hands' and tried it whilst in Australia. It tasted terrible, burnt like shit and did absolute fuck all to me apart from making me choke over the sink for half an hour.

Is the paper towel not drying out? I soak the seeds until they sink to the bottom, usually 12-16 hours. Then place them in paper towel and put that in a zip lock bag, keeps them from drying out. Then the ziplock bag stays under my modem where it is nice and warm. Doing the above I have had great success with seeds usually popping within 48 hours.

@reyndog how do you normally go about germinating seeds?

@PsyCLown yes I agree there is quality out there if you know the right supplier. Problem is every kid that got his driver's and moms car is selling now days. In kzn prices are through the roof. R180 will get you quality indoor, but for that price I might as well do coke.

@Mambawana beautiful looking buds you've grown there mate. I'm totally convinced that most members here harvest product that is "head and shoulders" above that R180 per a gram peeps are asking for on the streets for quality indoor. It's all about the passion for the plant and not the month end turnover.

I must agree here. Start with quality soil and seeds from your first grow. I am busy on my first grow and nearly got disheartened by seeds that didn't germinate. @Mambawana and @PsyCLown among others steered me in the right direction and I have a happy plant well into flower (growing in a very confined space). You don't want to struggle from the get go with inadequate soil. Would make growing more of a chore than a rewarding hobby.

The secret jarden ds tents look great, apart from the plastic corner connections for the tubes. Anybody have issues with them breaking?

Calling all indoor growers that house their ladies in a grow tent. I'm in the market for a tent and wondering which would best suit my needs. There is an abundance of options available with regards to size, number of vents/ports, spill tray etc. I want to hear what factors influenced your decision to buy the tent you are currently using? Are you happy with your purchase or wish you had bought something else? Anything else you can add to the subject of grow tents? I am leaning towards a 60x120 tent for 2 plants. I see companies advertise 100x100 tents can do 4 plants but I feel that would get very cramped with some LST? I currently have 1 plant in a 70x55 grow area and space is becoming an issue. Looking for advice on purchasing the right tent first time.

I plan on doing this with my next grow. Curious where/when you would use the epsom salts?

I know biobizz has a feeding schedule for FF soil. Not sure if it would carry over to GHE.
