  1. This is going to be a mixture of indoor and outdoor growing using soilless mix with chemical nutes and also comparison organic grows of the same cloned strain to compare the effects on the bud flavour and potency and the following-

Factors for Chem vs organic comparison

    A Cost savings

B Ease of use(consistent nutrient delivery vs microbe pop.)

    C Diagnosing and solving issues(Nutrient,pest,enviro)

    D Growth rate(Finishing time)

    Strains

    Seedsman :Badass cheese og

    Totemic: Chocolope,Bubba Kush

    Ethos: FSkittles (clone)

    White label : white skunk

    BNB: Bruce banner, grande crack

    Pics to follow

    Hi Batista,

uncooked rice water, use asian style rice grains much much smaller than tastic, very high in starch, gen rule is wash and rinse 3 times before cooking applies to sushi rice as well if you cooking lol, interesting regarding the PM part 👍

Thanks man, yeah its the LactoBacillus

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lactobacillus_plantarum

Interesting from that link (this correlates to what you said about large veggies) - 'Lactobacilli are unusual in that they can respire oxygen' -< Thats basically an airline in your medium ? lol - I could see how that would supercharge growth!

So @Roasty basically to make it, leave rice water by a windowsill for a few days.Thats what I do,then dilute with water to prevent clogging spray pump.

  3. You need to do what Prom said and plan your drying according to ambient temperatures and your actual bud.

I just dried my f skittles last week, for a full 7 days. Here was my process:

My buds were extremely dry when I harvested(as it should be, because you left the plant in darkness for 3 days without any watering right lol ;)

Now, with the temperatures climbing into the 23's and RH decreasing , I had a problem, these buds were going to dry out too fast because I dont use anything special to dry, just hang em up in a dark room.

What I did was, a budwash(water->bicarb->h202->water), and then a small soak for 5 mins in clean water.

I then sundried on brown paper for around 10 mins a side until there were no water dripping. The buds gain some weight in water - then I hung them up.

This slowed down my drying process and I only had snappy branches on day 6.The bud as been curing for a week now, and its smells like petrol cookie dough my gawd! 🙂

I came up with the above because i fucked up my entire Fuel OG harvest last year, buy hanging up buds that were already dry and hadnt been washed, the buds dried in 3 days flat and the smoke was harsh cos of chlorophyl. An epic waste of money, time 😞

Bokashi bran everywhere lol, and i like using small amounts of washed rice water, asian folks been growing everthing green with that for thousands of years , my granny born on the pescador islands next to Taiwan, i can remember all the farms there had mutant veggies growing in the land, the were quadrupal in size to anything i had seen before, my gran always said rice water and all the farmers i met siad the same.... folks tale probally , that islands volcanic ,mineral and nutrient rich soil was probally the answer hahah

Do you need to cook the rice or use uncooked rice in the water?I use cooked rice water to treat PM and it works wonderfully.

I see what you mean here and I've seen guys growing DWC and really doing some amazing stuff, no doubt about that.

The reason why I wana grow organic is because it will stand the test of time. It is the knowledge that comes with it that I desire. I want to know about microbes, bacteria and nematodes and all the other living things. I believe, even though being not so skilled, I'll get there faster if I take the right steps.

I've got some background with synthetic nutes, not only with cannabis.

I feel at the end of the day the best for me is going to be to plant straight into the earth and growing organic will add to the knowledge one needs when cooking up some nice living soils. Creating your own mediums and amendments is what it's all about, for me.

Cool man, I also didnt have the best harvest when it came to indoors so i switched and havnt looked back, but I do continue to use organics outside because its economical if you have a few plants 🙂

    @PsyCLown

    Is 0.8gpw too low?

Does organic grow style generally yield less than salt based?

    Or what's your hypothesis?

Growing organically adds another layer to growing and if you are not skilled you can run into more problems with organics than synthetics.I pretty much ignore seedlings until they show stress in week 2/3 .They show a variety of deficiencies, but just one application of cheap A+B sorts them out, takes the guess work out and you can concentrate on other factors such as light, air flow, humidity because all of those play a factor in a plants growth.

I suggest you do a chemical run with a 1 plant DWC system and see how it blows an organic soil run away hands down. There isnt guess work involved with chemicals, just stick to the chart - you dont really need a tds meter, but it is a nice investment to have especially when you want to go over the recommending feeding levels for greedy plants lol.

  7. I have decided to go DIY,because i feel that I need a challenge and also the prebuilt ones wouldn't last with our winds so i would need to patch etc anyways.

First step im having trouble with is how big should i make this? I have ample space in the front yard, that is covered by some trees and vibracrete.3x2m seems doable but I wouldnt mind 3x3.

How much space does 1 marijuana plant need to grow effectively? I prefer big trees over number of trees, and with the laws coming up I want to stay within limits even though i think the plant should be free for all.

I honestly dont see myself having more than 6-8 flowering plants in that space,so lets discuss the space requirements for 1 plant in a greenhouse.

  8. @Naughty.Psychonaut  Will keep you updated brother man! Hopefully get one today. Yes my since retired MH 600w was burning the pocket. @afternoon blazer
And I think electricity in WC has gone up drastically, used to get 189 units for R300, now my R300 gives me 111 ... Its actually ridiculous.
Brother, my bill for this month is almost R1300 over the normal one, Im not sure what's going on in WC, but I queried it.

  9. @Batista what up bro. Have you vegged a grow with these before? Any pics or grow dairies?

Yo, I'm growing with this in my tent right now, the nugs are some of the most dense I have ever grown. I'm concerned about longevity because of the extreme heat though and don't know whether I can run this in summer, but for that price and my needs it works out well.12000 lumens is no joke, I can't even look at this light for more than a second before it burns it's image into my retina for the next 5 mins lol

I am really not sure man, was a donation, i didn't ask too many questions.

The dude wasnt sure if it was birthday cake or wedding cake, but if i recall he said its most likely wedding cake.

I just try look after her cause she is pretty loud.

How is the flavor profile on the Ethos selection. This particular cut is gassy and sweet, quite complex, best description i heard was, like rum a d raisen icecream.

    Awesome thnx.

So my ethos wcake is extremely sweet but she hits nicely. She is too sweet for me, I wish I had a cut that had some gassy/cheesy undertones.Infact all of these ethos genetics are extremely sweet.THe only one i was impressed by was Crescendo - she was sweet, peppery and gunpowder like - it was amazing but maybe i got a lucky cut as all of these were from clones(cannaclone).

Sjoe respect dude! Im sure u gave em thag tlc they needed after their journey!

For sure just leave some air in the ziplock, use dried leaves to soak for packaging.

The original advice was to use a low ec peatmos, low ec cococoir or dried leaves.

I think the old brown leaves have some beneficial microbes that help a bit.

Thanks for the update man, they looking happy, super stoked.

Sounds like a plan! I think you guys in the hubs will get this thing to the next level, there are some owes out there with dank shizz, cant wait ekse!

Good luck bro, patience they should reveg in time seeing u got some lekker roots on them babies, half the battle is won.

Are those the Ethos babiesnu mentioned?

Howsit, yes, there is Ethos Wedding cake,Forbizzen skittles and I also have Sweet Insanity flowering outside, will take some clones this week after I fit my old bar with lights as a 2nd clone/mom/veg space.

Currently flowering Fskittles in my tent so have to create a ghetto grow area to get them beans popped 😄

Not sure how EZ it is... Looks like a bubble cloner, but with a pump, that means it sprays water all over the stems?

Works very well... I just have an issue with the transplant period... Going from hydro to soil does work... But not well at all.

Even though my rooting success is near 100% with a bubble cloner, the transplant phase always sets me so far back...

So iv moved to jiffies and easy cloner plugs... And a dome lol... God I hate domes... But they help 😁

    Hey Bud

So its a water pump that shoots water up through misting nozzle, wetting the stems.I got a few from Hydroponic.coza for R10 each.

I go from water to coco with no issue, but thats because im using the same chemical nutes in both setups , so reduces shock. If you are going from water to soil, then yes I think its a small shock for the plant.

*Becareful of anything that pumps air into water - that raises the ph of the water. This is where I went wrong with my setup because I set and forget and never monitored ph.

  13. Finally managed to come right with this ez cloner, no misting, no domes. And yes that is a bag of rocks to hold my pump down lol 00c7aed6617f2f0dd564f944b50b9ca2.jpg

So this is an experiment, a last ditch effort to save my already flowered out plants.Hence why you see buds on those babies.

  14. Hey, You real name appears on those pdfs.

Next time please use reputable seedsbanks with original breeder packaging to avoid these issues.

Also - growing conditions play a big role in final THC CBD values.

I use leafly and growdiaries.com to checkout a strains performance before i buy.
