  1. I use Aqsf with a wetting agent (fulvic powder). This can control it well depending on when you catch it but most importantly you can spray this on buds until harvest day.

  2. Let her do her thang and provide her with all the water and nutes she wants, we may have a prized pheno here! Looking forward to see how she ends up!

  3. Those dip switch timers are the absolute worst for our applications where we need higher dependability.
The digital timers with the lcd are much more reliable and if you get a decent brand, it will work perfectly for years.
I have been thinking about going sonoff for my timing needs... But man it's so important to have a stable light schedule for the ladies!
I am sure you can continue posting here and if you really wanna pull out, then we will just stop issuing warnings for late diary entries... No biggie.
I am sure Totemic would like to see how 13 h over 12 hours makes them grow and seeing how you can work with it.
Good on you for finding it!!
I have actually had a similar issue at my dad's place... And I have needed to reduce the timer from 12h a day, to 10 hours a day for the remainder of flower... That should trick them into hurrying up!
I have a sonoff on my light and just found out that after a power trip, it doesn't come back on by itself the hard way, but luckily it was only a day. You have to manually switch it on :( There has got to be another way lol

  4. I dont know why but the pic quality is so bad in those last 2 - what is the maximum image size allowed using tap and any tips for me to improve it? I'm compressing them down into 2mb filesize using some android app called Lit photo

Moms and tortonis(I revived my 2 tortonis that made their exit previously in my grow )

Moved to larger tent for veg and new 265 w 301b qb installed with wifi switch. They are really loving this light and I got the dimmer switch at only 50% on the slider.

So I'm waiting on the bud to dry, then going to shift some plants and probably try flower my 2 tortonis and one of the following in that tent(below plants are 2 months old from mail order clones)
    -frosted apricots
    -critical mass cheese
    -crescendo
    -Slurricane ix
    -banana mac

The plan now is to automate my watering and drainage because I'm tired of manual draining and . I plan on a rdwc system but will probably end up with a dwc if I know myself haha

  6. Yes it is a bit like DWC with that aerated root ball. I think the top layer being dry must “air-prune” or discourage root development there. I’m wondering IF the wicking goes all the way up, would there be roots in that layer, and if there were, would they be significantly useful to the plant.
I’m also wondering if having dry coco is in any way detrimental to the lower layers of moist coco especially in terms of Calcium demand…
Are the plants showing any signs of being stressed? I have done grows before like this and allowed the top to dry with no real issues. Visually is looks terrible because coco should never be allowed to completely dry out if you are using synthetic nutes but I wouldn't worry too much. Those autopot systems work well when you get everything dialed in.

  7. i doubt your coco is sterile to begin with  but in saying that, i dont inoculate my coco often, but it definately smells like a nice soil at the end of my runs, which indicate a high volume of microbes and fungi, or at least their presence.
i think mycos and bennies have a place in every meduim, soil or soilless
Thanks, do you just apply at each watering with the nutes or foliar feed or both? I also smell my coco at the end and notice a pleasant smell so yeah that might be the microbes just naturally occurring idk

  8. Hydroton will be perfect if you can get it. It won't move at all, and is inert. I use this on the top of my dwc buckets, allows air exchange and allows me to top up through it.

With perlite it will move around, push its way deeper and you will need to add more to maintain it.

  9. I've used one of the companies mentioned here. I was fortunate to be gifted some clones from them prior and was happy with the strains so I ordered more this season.

My issue is that we don't know how old the mom was when these clones were taken. I personally only keep a mom around for 2 years because the returns diminish as the plant goes through more and more flowering cycles but maybe that has more to do with the strain then the age, I don't know.

Also I'm not sure how much pheno hunting went into the mom from their side, so yeah one is just relying on the company for this.

There is definitely a market for it because it makes things easier for beginners but sum get past that stage and start their own pheno hunt or breeding projects from the clones.

  10. Unwashed and unbuffered coco messed my entire grow this year, along with using too much perlite.

I would flush with tap water then buffer with a higher ec as mentioned. I also continued to feed calmag at every watering and this corrected my yellowing after about 3 weeks, watering once every 6,7 days which is not ideal for coco.

I should have just bought rinsed and buffered coco like the previous year lol

  12. So just a peek at what is flowering right now, I posted a pic of her earlier in the thread.

This plant is from a clone of a seed, Bubba Kush, that Totemic gifted me a while back. I was impressed with her the first time around so decided to clone and give her a chance in a dwc.
Hortimix nutes and an oldschool 400hps,my last hps grow ever

I moved her into the tent 4weeks ago after she started showing signs of flowering. I estimate she is in week 6 of flowering, what do you guys think? She consumes 2 litres a day, need to top up daily 1d6f6d3402163705d2dac1e3172b40bd.jpg045f673774f8416066349ce783f0069e.jpg

  13. Hi Gents.

Still chugging along in veg, I removed alot of growth tips in an an effort to try get the stems longer. This has worked to an extent as I have 8 main colas now, with 2 two in front being the ones that need to catchup to the rest.

She gets fed twice a week, 0.7ec 6.4 Ph. Very green, the leaves are like leather,

There are roots shooting out the bottom of the pot and I wasn't planning to repot, but think I should because my flower tent is only going to be available in a months time? I have a 40l fabric pot ready to go, she is in a 15 atm. 2327a9cf8e6d7078bfbe470aa0e48827.jpgd85f6426b515a4b1236d9adb8a08d7fb.jpg

  14. Hi gents , I will update with a picture when the lights go on tonight. I did not make the soft switch deadline as I would like more vegetative growth and training before I flip.
    Thanks!

Hope this pic of my current Totemics Bubba Kush dwc 400hps flower will show you where I'm heading with the tortoni c73b38a0740cdb20d27e9d0ffb90d953.jpg

  15. Looking good man!
Where did you get your brick from?
Futurama. So I tested the runoff ec this morning and came out to just over 0.4. So you think I should dose again, alot of tiny particles came out in the bottom through the fabric pot. I think it's ready for use now.

  16. I got an ec of about 0.5. Added about 30 ml liquid calmag to 15 l water, might have to dose again tomorrow. Will measure the runoff and see. Ph is around 6.8, a bit high but plan on bringing that down with my fertigation. fd937fbb88cdf8b4818b88118b2dc4e5.jpg
