  1. Respect for this,I was one of many that was affected.

Out of my order, there was one entire packet of White OG that didnt germinate (all 5 seeds),but whatever - what made up for this was the Badass OG cheese, which has now found a permanent home in my collection 😄 Very underrated strain, this strain grew into a monster with dense buds and incredible mould resistance!

    Welcome back!

  2. They seem to be patrolling the leaves looking for something. They don't appear to be sucking on the plant stem or eating the leaves. Are they ladybugs? This plant was outside and brought inside to convert to Hydro. 656a438e1820f7493b2ad4970d881972.jpg

  3. Pity, I would take it if I was in Jhb. I have been using it since Aug with decent results. I put the hps off in so the pic doesn't make lines but this is 300w (150 led floodlight and 150hps)total in 1.2x1.2m using hortimix and their mpk bloom booster which is prob just Epsom. 3b886d993afd7f5ceecff99eef086954.jpgc5955cfd9c8e80e7ffaf79a8b21f49da.jpg

  4. Hey @Batista

Sometimes hard for me to justify time taken for DIY... and as the better half will tell you, *my* handy work skills will lower the property value - so off the shelf stuff helps - lol!
But things are looking good! Plants seem very tolerant of the heat and humidity there. Space is filling up nicely too. Are you just going to be vegging in there or looking to flower ?

Haha well we in same situation, my wife hates my diy but she tolerates this. I'm not sure if I want to flower in there, I'm worried about mold when flowering starts so will see how it goes, may need to add a fan somehow. I also got a Hydro unit with a USB air pump powered by a power bank that I swop out every 4 days in there just playing around with outdoor Hydro.

Im wanting to cut out a section of the middle of the door and replace with shade net for more airflow as we going to hit peak summer soon.

  5. Thanks for replying @Batista !
Good to know you are finding it usable.
    • Was wondering how warm and humid things might get under  the plastic cover?
    • I know you are along the coast - are you in a cooler region ?
Nice move with the solar-powered light! Are you simply going to switch it off when your are ready to flower (if you are also flowering in there) or is some other plan ?
    -Stinky.
So my light is manual unfortunately but it's working well so far. I made 2 holes in front, one at the back, and 2 slots in each side for a total of 7 vents. I didn't cover them with anything but you could use shade net.

The few insects that get stuck in there die from heat lol its around 38 on a hot day but it doesn't stay hot for longer than couple hours. Plants seem fine albeit a bit low on Nitrogen.

Monkeys would rip this to shreds with ease I'm afraid.

I wouldn't recommend this for a long time term grow. You can build a sturdier carport like structure with clear panels and shade nets for walls for much cheaper and it would be stronger and last longer. I did this because I needed something asap.

  6. Hello  @Batista!
    • Has this item been working for you and how are you using it now ?
    • How wide are the shelves and are they part of the structure or can they be removed easily/forcefully? (If one wanted more room)
    Thanks!

Hey bud, it's working well after you cut out some holes for airflow. I have high wind so put mine next to wall between a tree and also put some stakes in the ground for extra strength. The shelves are removable but I wouldn't suggest removing the shelve poles as they contribute to the structural integrity. I will see how long the plastic lasts. I also got a Solar charger in there for light at night to force veg.

  7. This is gold @Batista , really keen to try this method you have shared. Looks fairly straightforward once you have the tools. Never realised CO2 was so easy to get, been trying to source it locally for 6 months. Anyway a little over my budget to buy ice so going to stick with the rain water bubble hash for now.
Hey, nah this is Proms post, I just use bubble bags for mine.

  8. They say you need 30watts per square foot.
    30 x 16 = 480watt
Check out led gardener's DIY strip light page.
I run a 525w fluence and then 240w on each side in a 2.4x2.4 tent. I only use about 1.5x1.5 of the tent. Will do 4 plants in there going forward.
Thanks, what configuration would you build for a 1.2x1.2m @ 480w? This is the part I've been stuck on as it would be too tight a fit if you just doubled each strip to 120cm.

  9. Good Day

I would like to hear from the guys that are currently using this line. Are you using it in soiless/ water culture and how has the experience been?

They come in 25kg bags, the range comprises of s1,s2,s3 and then calprime (so 4x 25kg bags).thnx

    Kind of...

I am using Haifa nutrient line, the Spliff range. S1 S2 S3 and Duo+k

Following the feeding plan because it works.

And added calcuim from GH powder feeds, and Epsom salts... every feed

So still a powdered nute which takes some getting used to as it takes a while to dissolve.

Thanks, you got any more info on Haifa?Ie where do I find it,I only see a generic website with no stockist or online ordering.

  11. Thanks man.
So I also had to double or triple my dose because the mixture is actually weak and you do end up going through a lot of the stuff just to make like 10l solution! Do you mind sharing your current nute setup? I'm assuming it's also A and B in bulk?

  12. Decided to just buy this 2 months ago.I decided to not grow outdoor but greenhouse to up my overall quality and have minimal losses to mielieworms.Fuck those worms!

I grew alot of outdoor last year, but most was spoilt due to bugs/rot.So it was a bit of a waste. This year concentrating on my training/pest management especially in flowering and im not growing directly in the ground.

I have never pushed an EC higher than 2.4 in peak flowering, which is 1600 odd ppm, so you are there already.

Less is more, and when you are fertigating your plant daily you can get away with much lower doses, and have a happier plant that isnt straining under chemical pressure

Thanks, Yeah i think my dosage is too high, Im going to flush and lower and see if that helps.

One of my plants is actually your Bubba Kush, which is flowering incredible fast, she is around 2 weeks ahead of the others and they all started the same time!Im really impressed with her and cant wait to sample her!

Yeah, it's difficult with hortimix, as their chart suits veggies and will wreck your grow the moment you go into flowering following it.

So my approach evolved around what my plants were telling me. I found that I've never had deficiency or toxicity issues with micro elements, Its always the macros, so running with and tweaking my input on part B and MKP I have found to work for me.

Thanks man, yeah i will follow yours and see what happens 🙂

Edit - well that is exactly what I have been doing just Part B and MPK, pushing 1600 ppm now in week 3.5.What would your typical week 3 flowering values on Part B and MPK be in a liter of water, as I think I have to put less of Part B and more of MPK.

  15. I just bought the gel from one of the online stores, its red and you store it in the fridge.

I add Part B to bring the water up to 500ppm, then a teaspoon of the gel into the res, then airstone and heater, have roots around 4 days, complete in around 11 days for transplant. If you have never added nutes to your res, I suggest you try it,really speeds things up.

They recommend part B since the calcium is essential to buffer the phosphates in the MKP. Calcium sulphate would have been a much better calcium source, but its insoluble in water, do calcium nitrate is the only option really.

When I use hortimix, my ratios are 1:1 on part A and B in veg, and shifts to 1:1:1(A,B,Mkp) early flowering and later 1:2(B,mkp) ratio of part B and MKP in peak flower, moving to using only MKP in the last ripening phase, allowing the plant to metabolize the N and fade.

    Hi Bud

Thanks for this, I've had great results in veg, but I was a bit unsure about flower.Interesting enough I emailed them and they said this

'Part B contains plenty of Nitrogen, whereas Part A contains much less, and part A also contains other macro and trace elements which will be good for flowering, so definitely rather use part A in flowering, and not part B. You can check the labels of both to compare the Nitrogen's content in g/kg. Part B will be fine until about week 3-4 of flowering as it contains Calcium, which is important, just don't use too much. Little goes a long way.'

     - which kinda goes against your method and also what they say to do in the sheets,Im very confused lol

Look the plants are doing fine, actually suffering from to much N atm so I thought let me recheck my nutes configuration, because this is the first time in using this, which lead me here.

  17. Lol yeah, ok great, that looks really neat! I'm growing in pots this year and not in the ground because I wasted water last season.

  18. I'd also probably go bigger than necessary. Might be a bit tricky if you have multiple strains though.

I think also the gram amount labelled for the terp bag should be considered the max with regards to the bag's ability to regulate the humidity.

Correct, they don't really mention recommended storing amount, but in my situation my bud stank of gas and cookie dough, extremely strong and you could smell nothing at all outside the bag,but maybe if it was too full it wouldn't be able to mask/regulate itself.I though about throwing in a boveda but decided against it since I finished that delicious bud in no time edit : also boveda is meant for closed jars not bags lol
