  1. @Bos Whats up dude, Thanks for you reply, Exactly as you describe it! These worms seem to love the buds and I usually find them inside the buds along with their webs and poop. I have done it exactly as you have suggested, I opened all the buds and inspected them closely, and yesterday only found 3 bud with webs and poop but no worms.
I will have to check daily like this, I ended up with sticky fingers yesterday and quite a pleasant smell, its tiresome as I said earlier but I think its worth it. (Im wondering if I should be wearing latex gloves???)
@Stinger96 once mentioned indoor is not for sissies, well I think neither is outdoor!
@Bos where does one get the Margaret worm stuff from? do you remeber how much you paid? (Thanks in advance)

Does any one know what the hell this worm is called? Trying to read up on it but keeping finding things on caterpillars
Is it not a caterpillar from a moth or butterfly?

  2. Hiya, Thanks for the reply.
How did you remove the worm poop and webs? manually?
Did u do a bud wash after harvest?
Im thinking about cutting out all the affected bud sites??? (like cutting out the cancer before it spreads)

The webs I removed with ear buds and then did a bud wash after cutting the plant down. Im unfortunately not in a position to give advice regarding the removal of the buds, perhaps someone with more experience will help you with that.

  3. @Stinger96 Dude is it possible that Im having 2 different problems occuring at the same time? As in is it possible to have a spider mite infestation as well as this worm issue???
Check out below link, really looks like spider mites.
    https://2fast4buds.com/news/most-common-pests-in-cannabis-spider-mites
My opinion is that it's only the worms. Spider mites you will see walking around, check under fan leaves for spider mite eggs.

I had the same worm problem in my first grow and had to also remove them with a tweezer very early in the morning.

Im not sure if you can spray anything during flower but perhaps some Margaret Roberts or Ludwig's, I know one of them makes an organic spray for worms.

Be sure to remove the worms asap otherwise bud rot will set in and you should not smoke that.

  4. Food grade ethanol works out cheaper than Royal Vodka and extracts more - higher potency. A tincture is one of my favourite ways to consume.
You need to decarb the bho / rosin before it can be used as an edible. It is like using a more concentrated form of oil / butter when cooking.

A quick google search and I found these guys, never ordered from them before though.

Food grade ethanol is not cheap, I looked into it a few months back and was put off by the price and considering it is a consumable as well.
I wanted to use it to clean BHO and help purge the butane, hoping the Ethanol would be easier to purge.
Yeah for sure. After seeing the price on this site we will definitely go this route.
  5. Ok thank you for the advice. I understand where you're coming from. The reason I'm interested in tinctures is cos I really dig experimentation with edibles. At this point I can put cannabutter any place you can put a fat in food and make it taste nice and get you lit, but some things don't necessarily have the space for the fat, hence wanting to try the alcohol based tincture. Sure I can put cannabutter in a cap, but I'd rather have it in biscuit or a caramel or on a slice of toast.

Whats BHO/dabs like to use as an ingredient? Is that something people do?
Buy some Royal Vodka, its 96% alcohol. We use that to make tincture. There are many recipes on the net but they use Everclear, you can follow the same steps.
  6. Hi All
I’m new to growing, and I’m about three weeks into flowering with some outdoor clones.

I’ve been using vermipure all through veg and have some fire juice which I use once per week now.

Should I stop the vermipure?  I’m worried they go back into veg.

Apoligies for the silly question and thanks for the help.

p.s vermipure is worm castings and fire juice is some organic chemical, both from freedom farms.

You can continue with the vermipure, it wont force the plants back into veg.
  7. Yeah vet checked it out.. Done deal.. he's going blind and fast. I got some CBD oil for him to see if it might slow it down. I know it will help with his arthritis but the cataracts I am also not to sure about... but let's see..
Did the vet check if the dog's tear duct produce tears? They would have inserted a piece of paper in its eyes to measure it.
  8. I have had a keen eye on this strain, as well as following the work of @Totemic since joining the forum. I therefore went and did the deed.
I am not sure when exactly I will pop them, my next two grows are lined up quite tight but I didn't want to risk not having these
Keen to see what I will be able to do with this

Im also definitely buying some of them as soon as finance allows it. Hopefully end of this month and will add them in my next grow for sure.

  9. Yeah, go easy on the ash (woodash only) as its very alkaline.
Banana smoothies work well for me.
Blitz half to one banana per plant in a food processor (peels and all) with dechlorinated water. (I do banana, apple, comfrey, aloe vera and mix in a bit of carrot and potato peels) You can mix in some molasses 25 - 50ml as well.  Then dilute in 20lt water and feed your flowering plants. As an option you can add some organic flowering nutes as well. Just keep ratios and strength of the mix in mind.
Plain molasses in water also works well, it feeds the microbes, who in turn feed your plants.
Awsome!! Thanks for the recipes, will visit the shops tomorrow for some ingredients.
  10. Yeah that looks like they are fading to the finish.- which is very normal. Just remove the yellow and dying leaves.
Those ladies are very 'bushy', preventing decent air movement through the plant, that could possibly lead to conditions for PM, due to no air movement. Depending on your local weather conditions of course. Inland your RH would be lower than here by the coast.
I would have done a lekker defoliation before they go into flower. Just my 2c
Are you feeding them anything to fatten up?

Im just feeding them with malted barley and microbes, still looking for something to fatten them up. I have used ash from the fire 2 weeks ago but not sure how much I can give them before running into issues.

I would prefer to give something organic / natural.

Thanks for the advice, I have removed all the yellow and dead leaves and gave them a small haircut. Im also keeping an eye out for PM as it happened with my first grow but I think theres enough wind here to assist with evaporation etc.
  11. These plants have been in flower since 13 December. I have noticed some of the lower leaves turning yellow, some dying.

Could this be fade or a nitrogen deficiency? Im growing in living soil so if its a deficiency, what could I use here?

The tallest is sour diesel, middle is GSC and the smaller one is a cannatonic cbd.

  12. Hi, I'd say there's no harm in keeping her, unless you haven't got enough space. That being said, I am sure she will not deliver, what she would have delivered under normal circumstances.
I had a Gelato auto from fastbuds this year and I really looked forward to grow it as Prom recommended it. It broke soil surface without the two round leaves (forgot how they're called). They must have somehow broken off, while trying to reach the surface. That plant grew 2 cm in 4 weeks. Then I gave up on her.
Thanks. I have another auto seed so will keep an eye on her progress for the next week then make a call.

  13. I planted this Blow dream auto a week ago. The seedling had a bit of trouble getting rid of the seed but it eventually fell off. The day after the first leave and the one true leave fell off so I was wondering if I should keep it seeing as its an auto with limited veg time.

  14. Hi guys, I am about to transplant an outdoor plant into Jamie's Orgasoilux and I will update this thread with my findings and whether I experienced the same issues that some of you have had.

One question, when some of you mention that you just feed it "microbes", what product is that? Apologies, I come from a coco/perlite substrate with ghe synthetic nutes.
Microbes are living organisms that forms a symbiotic relationship with the plant, feeding it what the plant needs.

I only know of Jamies Garden shop and freedom farm microbes that you can buy off the shelf, other than that you have to collect your own from soil.

Just to note, when using microbes in living soil you should water with rain water or tap water which has been standing for about 24 hours.

Normal tap water will kill the microbes. Microbes are fed with molasses and some other things, but I only know of, and use, molasses.
  15. 5 weeks.
Just a few more days to see sex. 1 confirmed female so far. Will have a little more space once the males are out.

Very good look plants you have there. I hope to grow some of your seeds next year.

  16. This is very very generous of you wow, well done man, we need more people like you in the world

I am certainly interested in growing some of this if its still possible. We made some medicinal oil with another cbd plant we grew and it has helped many people.

I actually told someone less than an hour ago I will try and find some of this for his girlfriend who is struggling with anxiety and I will pass some seeds off to him also.
