She seems to have overheated bud?:-peace

Quite possibly she was not getting star treatment, also got moved around before and after the transplant.

Definitely looks like that, just recently came off a spot of the 'ol N-toxicity myself with one of my plants. Came alright after a flush, so I am sure you have it under control 😁

Shot @Ill_Evan , we try our best, the plantjies in soil take a while to respond to treatment, pretty cool in your diary you can see the changes pretty fast!

I'm leeching the pot a bit today instead of another flush, then i'll just let her recover, will prob be a few days before i water again, maybe max a week.

Good move with the flush. Looks like the Ph of the medium is off. Probably too acidic.

Thanks man, I amended some Dolomite Lime for her as a little topdressing, hope it brings the PH back into check.

Just for interest sake that is pool filter sand as a topdressing (testing to see if it help against gnats) layer is about 3 cm, below that is just normal soil.

  2. Update from the Hawaiian and the new recruit, a Cheese clone I received as a donation, to help preserve the cut.

The slinky Hawaiian is still looking a bit deficient in the Mg department, even though she received another top dressing bout a week ago. Also fed a sea grow type nutrient called SeaSol.

Been giving left over smoothies, @Bospatrollie2 styles, she seems to be enjoying it.

So this cheese clones started curling like a boss after I potted her into some soil mix I had lying around.

Looks like some N toxicity so I just flushed her well, will just water normal h2o for now.

Any thoughts or advice feel free to comment :-greenthumb

  3. Nice to hear that they are not suffering from the budrot, yeh this years outdoor season was pretty rof en ombeskof, any buds harvested is good enough result this year!

Thinking about the insect netting, could help a lot against these worms, cause like you say its them damn pretty butterflies!

  4. Gals are looking fine @420SA ! You could use some stakes if u not keen on a scrog.

I'm becoming a big fan of staking, just a issue to find stakes that are not wood, metal or anything that won't mess with the ph.

Check out WizardNPK, if you don't already know him, im just copying his style for managing canopies. :-greenthumb

Good idea @Dank will give it some thought.

A relief Cannabis seed auction also crossed my mind, could donate seeds, the money can go to members in need, wouldn't be able to send em until the world returns to normal tho..

Thought id just throw it in there as well!

  6. @Prom next time hit it with plain water at a PH of 9.5, repeat until PM is gone, easy PH up is Sodium Bicarbonate, basically Baking Soda.

Repeat a few times, morning spray is best.

I had a bit of PM creep in, blasted it off in 2 applications, hairs on the buds still nice, the pic of WeddingCake in the breeders group was taken a few days after the application.

  7. The new growth on the Hawaiian is looking much better, still hungry for Ca and Mg, I will do another top dressing with Dolomite Lime and Epsom salt.

I fed her some Biotrissol 3.1.5 a few days ago with some left over coffee grounds for a bit of instant Nitrogen.

Still a bit of curling deformities on new leaves but a nice improvement so far. :-rolled

And with the rain that's expected for pretty much the whole week in gauteng, the issues will likely just worsen?

Rain on buds that are already with mold (budrot) or pm will worsen for sure I'm afraid.

Plants without issues can be "shaken off" after a rain or heavy dew to help minimize issues.

Thanks man. So you reckon harvesting asap? Checked the trichomes, they were clear. Did smoke a dried piece, nugs are dense af, think stacking is over.

From the picture I saw and the few trees in the background, I would take down what's getting worse and leave the healthiest plants to mature longest.

These are all fungi problems,  spores get  created and will spread across gardens quite easily left unchecked.

The earlier harvests might have less taste and a more speedy high, budrot harvest is not worth smoking anyway.  Hope this advice helps a bit.

  9. The second picture is of the Californian Kush getting ready fast, smells like a classic kush, very earthy.

First picture is wedding cake, earlier in flower than the other one in this thread.

  11. Congrats on the harvest @Bospatrollie2 ! Super stoked that the early taste is good, sugus and winegums sound right, should smell like a candystore when trimming!

These buds usually taste best after about a month in the jar (some phenos can taste bitter until 4 weeks+), and the effects will be much stronger when she is all cured :-rolled

Thanks for all the effort man, when our country switches on again we must talk about a pack you would like from the @Cannabist  store, I think you deserve the prize I mentioned in the Spring drop last year, Peace and Buds bro, very cool experience watching your diaries, thanks again!

Schweet. Reason I ask, the suckers that didn't make it into my DWC are now blomming outside in some coco and I have another one in soil. Just screwing around, I doubt anything remarkable will come from cannabis starting to grow outside at this time of year, but also didn't want to just chuck those seedling out. The one in soil started getting a bit pale so I gave it some feed and now waiting for a result.

I'm so used to having results within a few hours with DWC 😄

Yeh the babies in soil take a bit longer to show improvements, but to a degree there is always change, this morning the Hawaiin is looking nice and perky, she might pray to the sun today!

The new growth is usually what we have to gauge as the old growth hardly improves/repairs itself.

This time of year the thin leaved Sativa varieties like this Hawaiian flowers out quite well at 12/12 with quite a lot of stretch.

Plants like her in preflowering stages can still get pushed, as long as there is enough direct sun, I try aim for at least 8 hours, gets difficult into winter without the right location.

  13. Thanks @Ill_Evan  :-puffin

I think in this week I should be able to see a nice change, it was just an simple amendment, but im hoping that by next week there will be no more new leaves with deformities.

She might show show some N deficiencies soon, if that's the case i'll try to find a creative solution, or just feed her some nutrients (which she could prob use).

  14. Last week I only watered her with a bit of Epsom salts to provide some Mg, and yesterday I topdressed with the following.

Roughly 2 tablespoons of Dolomite Lime.

Another 2 tablespoons of Epsom salts.

1 tablespoon of DE to provide some silicate to the soil.

Will keep an eye on how she responds and most likely give her another light dressing next week.

Thanks will do. Something that just occurred to me. Last week I bought some potting soil from builders to just ensure all of the roots are covered because some of the small fine roots were on top of the soil.

There are 2 pots which did not receive that soil, the others are all looking the same as the pictures I posted.

Could this just be a coincidence?

If the two pots that did not receive soil from builders is looking better than those that received, I would also assume that you got some biological lifeforms included in the deal.

The soil biz is a dirty one, potting soils should be sterilized and then inoculated with beneficials, don't know how many soil companies bother with this.
