Yeah man, those Thai sativa traits those. Genetic foxtailing is a sativa thing, and this is genetic rather than environmental foxtailing.

@CreX I do hope she doesn't flower forever on you. Last comp you pushed the only male to peak Flowering... This year another unicorn among the crowd...

What can I say lol, I keep it exciting 😂😂✌️

That could be some Thai sativa dominant genes pulling through there... :poke

    Is she healthy otherwise?

yea no issues , no burnt tips or any premature yellowing, no pests and no PM, watered and fed regularly - just exhibiting all the signs of a light leak.

which is also weird, because light leaks generally only cause the branch the light falls on to be weird, but this is the entire plant, every stem is dong this lol.

@GGG, definitely foxtailing, but as for the heat source im not sure...i raised the light a bit as that was a previous concern, and there are no fans or heaters near her.

@PsyCLown LOL i was also thinking that, the buds that have formed are nice and dense, so if the fattening happens, there will be some mad colas here

  4. Alright okes! What a shocker of a plant!! She is still doing Her weird shit and doesn't seem to be slowing down on the pistols! Not a fade or a brown pistol in sight - she truly has me baffled.

She is the only plant that's being weird in my flower tent... And I still have no answer as to why...

According to old hippy lore, once the first pistols start turning brown, the plant is 21 days from ready, which puts me right on 7 September.

watchout for that hippy lore lol - its a VERY loose guideline for if you really cant get a microscope or a loupe.

i have had plants with pistols that are 100% brown, but the trichomes were still 100% clear

way too early for a harvest like that - always check trichomes

a sneaky way i have checked for trichomes with my naked eye, is by moving the bud around underneath the light and looking for glitter sparkles, this gets light to enter the trichome, and be reflected off the far end of the trichome, indicating a clear trichome. trichomes that dont glitter back, are going milky or are milky - and on rare occasions when the bud is the right colour, i can make out amber trichomes.... but i dont trust my eyes that much except for the glitter sparkle check.

i generally check trichomes with my microscope when i see the glitter is very low or i cant get it to glitter under the light

Hey there guys.. I know of a grower that was growing this on a large scale it was where most of the stock in the western cape came from but I have lost you h with him as he was giving bulk stock at rediculous prices because of the hype that surrounded it when it was going around ... I must confess I'm an indica fan but when I hit the first bowl of this through glass it reminded me of a bump back in the day of really good cocaine... Now I know that'll get some people ranting but I know what I felt and that's what I can relate it to the best I was washing the dishes cleaning the flat and wanting to chat alot so what does that remind you of... Anyway  that grower is in the farmlands near hermanus.... But 100k for 1kg that's absolute madness if you buying in hydroponic indoor 1kg at a time the price never exceeds R85-90k and that's next level artisanal grown hydroponic indoor R50-60k is normally what I'd expect to pay though anyway it was super dank but I think that was then nowdays that type of quality and potency is available far and wide these days I even own a online despensary with an app to download to order just like take out so things are moving in this industry since then that's for sure

thanks for this man... just remember that this is a legal site and no sales or soliciting is allowed

good luck on your venture - and stick around man - just dont try sell us any cannabis/products please 😛

Ya I don't think it was pollinated, tents are always closed and I don't have any males around. Gotta keep truckin, is what it is.

I did however manage to grow a tortoni clone, the T3 that @Totemic grew, Ill post it on the snapshot comp as I think its worthy.

They have to have been pollinated by something somewhere... Otherwise we have a virgin Mary situation here lol

So here’s quite an update, all the plants have seeds in them. It started with the big one, so I tried to remove all the infected area, but it seems what I thought could have been swollen calyx were actually seeds. And it seem there are lots of them.

This could have been the cause of a digital timer that just stayed on one day and that day I noticed the tent still on 3 hours are it should have been off. I’m there daily and would have noticed.

Will be done with the comp from here on out, goodluck everybody!

unless the timer caused the plants to hermie, the timer is likely not the cause... seeds can only grow if the plant has been pollinated, either by itself via a herm...or it was pollinated by another plant elsewhere.

how do your plants get fresh air? do you have a filter? do your tents stay closed all of the time unless you need to be in it?

i dont think seeds disqualify you from the comp... you have some beautiful plants man... keep it up!

You can go out and spend some cash on some good products that do work. But you can also use the cheaper alternative such as Milk thats also works. Alot of us growers make a big issue of something that can easily be fixed with some home remedies. Anther good example is the PH down and ph up solution that i get into fights about with my friends all the time, i use lemon juice...gets my ph where it needs to be and my flowers still come out looking great and I save some cash for things that are a MUST get for my grows

1l bottle of ph down costs me 100 bucks...and lasts me over a year. lemon juice has poor ph buffering abilities and does not hold the ph where you want it for long, like ph down does. i would try convince you to blow the 100 bucks bru...splurge a bit for the sake of your plants lol.

i am a big supporter of milk sprays for pm treatment and prevention, but more so for outdoor plants and less so for indoor plants. and it must be full cream milk for best results, low fat milk and box milk also work, but fresh fullcream milk had the best results. 50\50 mix with water for a very useful PM spray - but it stinks my flat up if i spray it inside

Is there a place for microbes in dwc or coco? I have 2 different bottles but since I stopped organic I havnt been using them.

i doubt your coco is sterile to begin with 😛 but in saying that, i dont inoculate my coco often, but it definately smells like a nice soil at the end of my runs, which indicate a high volume of microbes and fungi, or at least their presence.
i think mycos and bennies have a place in every meduim, soil or soilless

  11. it all comes down to what microbes and fungi they have added to their mix... so in saying that, i dont think any of those products are better than the last or worse than the last...but also not the same, if that makes some sense?

the biggest benefits i have seen from microbe inoculants is when the diversity is maximum - the more different species of beneficial microbes you have, the better and healthier your soil will be and in turn your plants will be happy.

most of those products will have a large amount of its contents that are almost identical and then a range of microbes that may not be in the next bottled inoculant.

The same reason we use different pesticides after each other to control pests, is diversity is proven to be more effective. Likewise with soil, the more diverse your biome is, the Healthier your plants will be.

I do feel you are comparing apples with apples, in the sense that one apple isnt so vastly different to the next strain of apple that it would be considered another fruit, but both have great nutritional value.

How much light do you have in your tent? Maybe she is not one for the light intensity.

the whole tent has a lot of light, 10x 120w qbs... but she only has one of them on her.

it is a bit low, but i did that on purpose to try get some better light down for the lowers.

ill raise it up a bit and see if that helps, thanks man

  13. Here are the prophesied pictures.

As you can see, the tops of my colas have elongated, and the leaf tips are soft and rounded, indicating imminent reveg.

Absolutely unsure why she is doing that as none of the other flowering plants have any issues with the way they are flowering...

Thank goodness I flipped before the flip deadline so I can see how these ladies finish😂 if they fatten up from here on out, I will have some ultra sexy colas that will need some support 😍

  14. whats up growmies! i have left my phone somewhere and my pics are on the phone for the update.

i think its at home so ill check it tonight - and add pics lol

flowering development is coming along well... but my lady seems to have gone into a bit of a reveg or something?

i did my due diligence and climbed inside my tent and zipped it up and there are no light leaks at all, its pitch black in there.so i am not sure why she is doing that. none of my other flowers are doing it either so really not sure!!

pics to follow tonight - keep it real!

  15. Those dip switch timers are the absolute worst for our applications where we need higher dependability.

The digital timers with the lcd are much more reliable and if you get a decent brand, it will work perfectly for years.

I have been thinking about going sonoff for my timing needs... But man it's so important to have a stable light schedule for the ladies!

I am sure you can continue posting here and if you really wanna pull out, then we will just stop issuing warnings for late diary entries... No biggie.

I am sure Totemic would like to see how 13 h over 12 hours makes them grow and seeing how you can work with it.

Good on you for finding it!!

I have actually had a similar issue at my dad's place... And I have needed to reduce the timer from 12h a day, to 10 hours a day for the remainder of flower... That should trick them into hurrying up!

Remember I am using a combination of things, including Beauveria Bassiana and Metarhizium to help get rid of the root aphids. Both of these are fungus which work for killing pests as well. The fungus is the pesticide in this case, along with some neem and spinosad which do not affect the fungus.

If it was just trichoderma and/or mycorrhizal fungi, then sure. Getting rid of pests would be more important than keeping the fungi alive.

Although, how effective is it at getting rid of pests?

@The_StonedTrooper I think for this findings you may need to go out of your way to get some pests, to test it out on. lol

Thrips, spider mites maybe even some aphids if you can find. No clue where you'd find said pests though.

    my balcony LOL
