Why do you say 14 months? Didn't you mean weeks?
Oh... there goes my argument out the door... yes meant 14 weeks

Membership is R949 per month and depending on strain can take up to 14 months from seed to harvest, meaning you will pay R13 000 for the space with a max of two plants, that's allot of $$$ for two plants... Think I need to work on a business plan, missing some good $$$

High time for a update... pun intended. 7 weeks 2 days since germination and the ladies are progressing very well.
I must confess I should have rather used the same strain for this experiment, seeing how different each strain respond to training makes me feel that it's a bit of a missed opportunity, but at the end of the day if that is what I (we) learn from the ordeal it's not all bad.
Anyway, let's get to the part where I post pictures and stop talking nonsense.
CBD Crack Auto, topped early on in the grow. My favourite out of the 3 due to how she responded, 4 main colas with strong branches, I might even top each of the 4 colas to have 8, but I will see, might be a bit late in the day.
From the side:
Top view showing the 4 main colas:
Nice thick main branch sprouting into 4 side branches:
Fastberry Auto, bend over and pinned some of the branches to the side. Not quite what I wanted, colas all uneven and she started flowering already... Where I think I went wrong was to not bend her over more, but my pins was starting to cut into the fast growing trunk so I loosened it a bit...
Side view:
Top view:
Showing a purple flower starting to form:
Daiquiri Lime Auto, no training, no leaves taken off. She is growing extremely fast and tall and the fan leaves are huge, very impressed.
Side view showing her hight:
Top view:
Very large fan leaves (as big as my hand):
So far it is not to difficult to say what's working best... yes that's right, doing nothing
I'm still rooting for the CBD Crack that I topped, things will be happening soon, I can feel it!
Until next week... or the week after that... or the week after that

Hi fellow gardeners just a simple question we're can I buy seeds as I don't really like the whole online buying thing or am I shit out of luck
I have used Trophy Seeds and Sacred Seeds in the past and service was excellent.
Let us know what you looking for maybe someone has a couple of beans laying around willing to part with them.

For interest sake, do you bud wash because of the PM? Just curious as I'm basically sitting with the same issue now...
-
Did my first bud wash today, went with two buckets, first with 200ml of 12% hydrogen peroxide to 5 liter water, I know it's very diluted but did not want to overdo it on my first go. Second bucket clean water, also 5 liters.
Branches were cut and whole branch dunked and drowned in the H202 solution, moved the branches around in the water to 'wash' them, all and all 15 seconds in bucket 1 and 15 in bucket 2.
H202 left, clean water right:
Close up of H202 bucket after wash:
Buds hung to dry, will move them to dark place tonight:
All that is left:
Hopefully it helped a bit, found a couple of leaves with PM, so rather safe than sorry.

The formula was posted for me in another thread, I will paste it for you here. Thanks @Kgrows
you can use the formula for diluting anything thats a bit tricky:
Using C1V1 = C2V2To make a fixed amount of a dilute solution from a stock solution, you can use the formula: C1V1 = C2V2 where:
- V1 = Volume of stock solution needed to make the new solution
- C1 = Concentration of stock solution
- V2 = Final volume of new solution
-
C2 = Final concentration of new solution
So lets say you want 3%(C2) final concentration & 1000ml (V2)of the final solution
You have 12% H2O2 (C1)
So:
12 x V1 = 3 x 1000
12 x V1 = 3000
V1 = 3000/12
V1 = 250ml
IMPORTANT STEP:
V2-V1 = water volume
1000 - 250 = 750ml
So to get 1L of 3% H202 solution you need to add 250ml of 12% H2O2 to 750ml water
In my defense when I was adding and subtracting in my head it look like the first time Neo saw the Matrix on the screen... okay that and I was high as a mother
Thank you for this!

I will be washing for the same reason as you,
I am following "the original" person to do it, via this post https://www.420magazine.com/community/threads/bud-washing.200881/
He had a 4 part system, which included lemon and bicard in a 2nd bucket. I might still do the same but only on a 3 bucket system, so hot water bucket will also have lemon and bicarb.
This is basically to ensure that everything is dead like the mildew, and also that any cotton fibres, dead skin cells, dust etc is also washed off before the drying process.
Right so let's do some math... PAM PAM PAM!!!
I bought a bottle of 12% peroxide, if you are doing a 1 part H202 to 3 parts water and your peroxide is 3%... So I'm going to dilute 1 part peroxide to 12 parts water, in other words 85ml per 1 liter of water for 12% H202?
Will try it out!

So why did no one tell me everyone except me is doing it!

I wash because I have a lot dirt, insects and I spray frequently.
Check out the sand on this one after a windy day:
I haven't done a comparison and plan on doing do with upcoming harvest, but it just makes sense to me.
I do 3 bucket wash:
Room temp water with Bicarb soda & lemon juice
Warm water
Cool water
About 30 second rinses, hang to drip dry in semi lit garage for 24H after which I proceed as per normal drying and curing
Also appreciate the reply @Breadinator.
Right so also three buckets, I see you go for the more natural bicarb and lemon juice vibes.
I think I might just try it out!

I'm about to do it.
Bucket 1: 3 parts RO water to 1 part 3% H202.
Bucket 2: Warm water
Bucket 3: Cold waterThe above is the formula i will follow on a 3 bucket system
Thanx for the reply @LukeS.
Bucket 1, 3 to 1 part H202, that seems a bit excessive, you mean 250ml to a liter of water?
I presume you first dip the buds in bucket 1 to sterilize and then wash the H202 off on bucket 2 and 3?
-
Good day everyone.
Due to a bit of a PM scare I started reading up on washing your buds just after harvest before you hang them up to dry, seems it is more common than I thought and people doing it with problem free buds claiming it produces a smoother smoke. From what I read is there is no negative effect if you wash your buds as the trichome's will not 'come off' if you are careful.
The bath varies from bicarbonate of soda with lemon juice to hydrogen peroxide with vinegar or just clean warm water.
Now the question is, who is doing this and can you see any difference in the smoke?
Okay, go

@Pat999 @Stoukie I have a horticultural friend (not Cannabis) that mentioned to me the other day he uses cinnamon to control PM organically, I haven't tried yet.
The usual H202 mix + some diluted vinegar also does the trick for me.
Glad your are winning that battle man! If all else fails I defol like a mofo!
Not trying to give advice just been meaning to mention this to you guys about the PM, especially with outdoor season coming sooooon!
Hey @Dank, never tried H202 before but read a few good and bad things... what is the mix ratio when using the 3% Hydrogen Peroxide you get at the pharmacy?

Thanx for the replies guys.
I have been using the AQ SF Liquid from Jamie's Garden Shop for another lady in flower, my last spray I added a bit of oil as a wetting agent, seems to have helped but this is my third spray...
Will have to look into a proper IPM regiment going forward as it's really suck making all the effort only to battle PM in the last weeks of flower.

All of the best @Totemic, not really sure what or how to say it but know you posting this means something to someone!
-
Took a few fresh pictures tonight and fiddled with the ladies a bit...
CBD Crack Auto - I took off the bottom two branches so ending up with the branches from node 2 and 3, the idea is to bend them horizontal and wait for 3 nodes and then keep node 1 and 3.
Fastberry Auto - Keeping to the bending theme I'm pinning the main cola down and horizontal, will see what the cola does, but if it gets to long I'm going to spiral it a bit...
Daiquiri Lime Auto - Stock standard, no training.
Let see what the week bring, hopefully not PM

Thank you for the feedback @Dank and @PsyCLown.
The seedling were inoculated with a Live Microbial Bio-Firtelizer called ExploGrow on week 3.
Today it's been 5 weeks since germination and the ladies look well on their way, this is a picture I took yesterday of the fan leaves that the CBD Crack Auto is pushing out:
Will get some proper pictures of the others also as things are moving very fast now.
