  1. Which seeds you planning on getting from groen? I was eyeing the gelato41but they sold out, next best thing seems to be the Granddaddy Purple fast at 50 a pop
  2. What a genius DIY dome - So simple its actually brilliant
  3. Lmfao 20x 1/2 footers fullly flowering!!! oh lord lets hope they not auto's otherwise our friend is going to spend the season to yield a whole 30g.... Scrap the plant count rule as its exceptionally illogical and limits growers in many different ways & fields - average grower is unable to grow a variety of different strains, breeders or anyone interested in breeding will also be set back trying to isolate a phenotype or create a strain with only 8 plants when males will also count towards plant tally...nooit Its just as retarded as goverment saying we only allowed 2 different types of hard liqour with quantity limited to a case per household (they'll close bottlestore over weekend during covid but will never restrict qty, so wtf is going on here) But yeah the bill as it stands misses the mark for entrepreneurship too as its just way too ambiguious as to when & how cops can litigate a case against you let unless you've given them permission to enter premesis but again on what grounds would they be at your place in the first place - even if your neighbour complains they can't perform a search on private residence without a warrant which will never be issued as its based on hearsay I would like to say the quantity limit is a better solutuon, 1.2kg at any given time is sufficient for most but again how exactly do they plan on regulating this? Theres no license so there's no registry of growers...this is what I mean by too much ambiguity one thing Is for sure; ambiguity in litigation never ends well for the guy with the least power especially when you have a bill which in its current form could be interpreted entirely differently from person to person/cop to cop and if cops were allowed to randomly inspect a premesis, prosecution becomes your last concern as this opens up the potential for cops to exploit & extort with threats of long jail time It seems RSA has copy/pasted a large % of the bills content from the Canadians - they also list heavy sentences for dealing to minors (up to 14yrs) smoking in presence of minors or balcony of flat where neighbour objects etc (fine or up to 2years) - I'm certain 99% of cases result in a fine with the most blatant being prosecuted - at least there if u run a scam like Canapax & get a 14 year sentence you can opt for "weekend jail"....rotflmao (Yes weekemnd jail is actually a real thing there, no bullshit lol!!!)
  4. These ladies are indeed mighty! clearly grown with love Haven't smoked any of these strains yet so gonna be an experience for sure!! (Had Alien OG up in Canada but not sure if that's from the same lineage as Alien Tarantula)
  5. Reading articles with headlines like this is troubling - too many ppl in RSA with this Skaap mentaliteit https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/how-can-i-stop-neighbor-from-growing-marijuana-backyard.html #SomePeopleShouldAlwaysUseCondoms
  6. With regards to the proposed plant counting law - how exactly are cops expected/supposed to enforce this without a warrant? Its not like they issuing us growers a license where we will all be registered/be logged onto a registry where the cops can perform a random inspection once every 4 months like they do with pawn shops when checking for stolen gold etc I just dont understand how they could proceed to enforce this plant count without explicit evidence that you in breach - the onus is on cops to prove probable cause yes but as far as i know having a prima facie case doesn't give the cops grounds to search a private residence as this would be impeding/violating your constitutional right to privacy, not so? Public spaces completely different story - if you walking in the street & cop skeefs you out for whatever there they allowed to stop/search you & use the probable cause excuse to justify the search (their opinion that your demeanor was suspicious)
  7. Hey don't joke around dude - look what I'm rocking 9620....still as bold as it was in '06
  8. 5.) LST'd Hybrid (Green bucket grow - forgot bout this guy) Doppelganger Training From Branch to Main Cola (Slowly but surely)
  9. 3.) Cistern (Transplanted to 50lt Round tub) BFF's Missy strikes a pose & struts her stuff Plant voyeurism Cistern's been scrapped - Plants in 1st pic transplanted to this 50lt+ tub
  10. 2.) Wheelbarrow grow Monster bumblebee likes what he sees! Reaching for the Heavens (Currently @ 1.25 meter) Good at "Where's Wally?"........how about "Spot the Roach"
  11. 1.) 90lt Rectangular Tub This juicy lady has another week to go till harvest Branches on mid section have nice nugs She's very religious - prays all day & all night!
  12. @DamDave Many thanks for that!!!! Always keen on 'natural' alternatives, besides, can never have too much Aloe!
  13. @PsyCLown The cool daylight spectrum? Yeah I've read if you going to use CFL for veg that this is the ideal spectrum - I've also ran a warm warm white combined with cool daylight and have ran each one alone overnight on the Swazi with no after effects once taken into sun (I have to mention I've never germinated/grown seedling using ONLY indoor lighting so could be my guys were already used to sun? - only time I've failed from going indoor to outdoor is with clones) the Swazi plants definitely react to it cause the leaves start bending towards it (however can't say whether this is because of the light or an increase in temperature from going from outdoor to indoor) but one things absolutely for sure is they don't stretch or grow under that light at all - even under 2x 11w's while keeping the light between 1 & 2cm max away from plant overnight - but nada just perks the leaves up and keeps it 'awake' - no growth regardless of spectrum so must be wattage but my concern is how's a 42w bulb gonna make a diff when 3x 11w's do nothing I remember the first time I saw a buddy growing with a CFL on facebook 2/3 years ago, I filled the comment section with 3 rows of & asked him where on earth did he hear he can grow with an energy saving bulb - now look the old skool folk who were die hard on HPS & HID are mostly using LEDS!!! I'll take a leap of faith and say in another decade every tom dick and harry will probably be growing weed using their mobiles flashlight
  14. @SkunkPharm you definitely 100% right when you say these guys are more resilient tgan i think! I've left them in direct sun since this morning, have been checking on them every hour or so & so far not a single one wilting!! Im impressed as every other clone I've tried to plant after actually getting it to root always kakked out in direct sun, sometimes recovers during night but always dies a week later (haven't got rooting hormone & used a makeshift propogator- probably be why I'm got a low success rate)
  15. @Totemic Yip they most definitely will be getting extra light at night - which reminds me I need to replace all my CFL's for ones with higher wattage (using 2x sometimes 3x 11w cool daylight bulbs wired in parralel) While I obviously know these 2x/3x 11w's don't do much (if anything) for growing, with regards to preventing flowerimg they definately seem to do the trick I've read 1x 42w is better than running 4x 11w's - but wouldn't using 4x bulbs (11w) setup with 3x bulbs around sides of plant at 12:00, 16:00 & 20:00 provide more light than 1x 42w shining from top only? Any insights - read a lot of conflicting information - I understand the 42w penetrates further (more lumens at further distance) but wouldnt setting up smaller bulbs around the circumference of plant cancel this out?
  16. So from this batch we still have the following: 1.) 90lt Rectangular Tub (Flowering in dark room @ 8l/16d schedule - will be harvesting month end - th are really resinous/covered in trichomes + pistils becoming deep red but the bud size is dissapointing like KFC pops) 2.) Wheelbarrow grow (Sativa @ 1.2 meters) 3.) "Cistern" scrapped & replaced with 50lt round tub - (2 plants transplanted - remaining plant in cistern will be transplanted to Wheelbarrow tonight) 4.) All subjects in White square pot partially harvested & am allowing them to regrow for next season - new leaf growth has now started after roughly 2 weeks of recovering - will update on these once they doing something significant NB.) All subjects in Terracotta Pot have been chopped & harvested - have transplanted purple revegger to this pot ("patient" from WTF in sickbay) Photos to follow shortly
  17. Have potted them & placed them in a shady area to get them used to the outdoor sun - They looking sweet - gonna be beauties for sure! Forgot to mention the Slurricane might not be a Slurry (Skunk mentioned he's not 100% sure & put a '?' on the tag) will definitely be able to tell once it buds out, the frost on those buds will make a snowman jealous Will update these guys once a week Thanks once again @SkunkPharm You are legendary!! All Hail SkunkPharm!!
  18. Thanks buddy, they came out much better than i originally had anticipated, i really didn't expect much but yeah i throroughly enjoyed the experience and the hiomegrown bud is much better quality than what I've bought from my link over the past 15 years - its not thaaaat much stronger perse but the flavour difference is incredible, mine has heavy fruity/citrusy overtones while his much more bold and musky (almost like voete) Its just a pity I planted these guys either end of April or May otherwise I should of been able to double the yield had I been able to stretch the flowering another 3/4 weeks (Strangely the pistils continued maturing while revegging - went from milky & pink to orange to 'transkei' redish/brown over 2 weeks)
  19. Update: Another 3 small plants got the chop (reveggers are a bitch to clip!)
  20. Runing a fresh batch of bag seed in a 90 litre tub - planted around the beginning of August As per usual whenever I plant bag seed, I plant a bunch of seeds and pick out the best specimens of the bunch which ill transplant into seperate pots once im able to sex them/they begin pre-flowering Surprisingly ended up with a unique phenotype that turned purple roughly 2/3 weeks into flowering (then started revegging - have since transplanted to new pot) Roughly a week ago I started getting yellowing of the leaves and on some leaves the veins were remaining green, (1st pic) first treated nitrogen deficiency then treated yesterday with Epsom salts for magnesium deficiency - nitrogen seems to have helped however I'm still waiting for the Mag to kick in Yesterday after treating with Epsom salts (1 packet/14g --- 1 gallon/4lt) Also found & removed 3x males
  21. Was lucky enough to arrange a small batch of clones from @SkunkPharm Many thanks for hooking me up with the superior AAA+ genetics --- I'm incredibly grateful!! Have prepped & labeled the pots, will be collecting clones shortly, after which I'll upload images This grow diary will be documenting the following 3 strains gifted to me by @SkunkPharm 1x - Alien Tarantula (Obsol33t Genetics) 1x - Orange Cake Kush (Ethos) 1x - Slurricane (In-House Genetics) Super excited to grow these ultra dank strains - #My3Wives
  22. That's awesome!!!, someone's gonna be rolling blunts soon
  23. Partial Harvest Oct 2020 Plants in white pot get the chop along with one plant in Terracotta pot Kept entire grow seedless (yay!) Buds from the plant in terracotta pot are nice n long but thin/skinny (immature) but what they lack in size they make up for in flavour & smell - very powerfull sweet citrus smell & flavour, not too potent but nice - tastes very much like lemon creams (biscuit) 2 plants from white pot are semi harvested (gonna let them regrow for next season) Buds from plant with long cola are nice and puffy, decent sized nugs that glitter nicely under the light, has a similar fruity citrus smell like above but much more of a bolder flavour - heavy hitter & very calming Buds from plant with fat cola where nice & chunky but also immature as they didn't have much resin on thge buds, doesn't have much of a smell after drying and the smoke is OK but not the same quality as other ones above (needed another 2 weeks at least but was revegging) Fat cola 1 oz (28-30g+/-) Aftermath Long Cola Few buds from this lady (bad pic) Aftermath Terracotta pot bud (immature bud but powerful smell/flavour - tearing a piece of bud and whiffing it is hectic) Miscellaneous bud - about an ounce Curing (Gonna wrap black electric tape around the jar to ''black'' it out and throw in back of the cupboard)
