  1. @felix2000 Not an 'official' one but i guess I could create one for the siamese twin seeing as its showing signs of being female already i won't have to worry about the pulling it out a week from now & abruptly ending the diary. But been thinking maybe it better to do one grow diary for whole garden and highlight different training methods etc etc Last night started working on training one plant to grow in a spiral formation with wire ties so far got it bent about 45deg at first node & second nodes, busy shaping 3rd & gonna keep offsetting each node at 45deg from the last forming a spiral ladder/spring shape as its grows, hope it works out like I have in mind, besides looking f%&king sick the shape will allow for light to penetrate everywhere without having to defoliate (I think)
  2. @felix2000My second one, got an older one I'm waiting to grow bit more before I top the one side and FIM the other just for the f%&k of it
  3. Ive spotted lots of aphids on some of my plants growing directly in backyard soil except mine are black, look like aphids though, teardrop shaped body 6 legs, they infested every garden weed with a yellow 'sunflower' when u squish them they brownish red - yanked a ton out last week, doesn't look like they munching the leaves but don't want them around
  4. I forgot to mention my camera is terrible, the pic makes it look like its just leaves but trust me she's budding and they growing, I'll see if my digital works and upload a pic tomorrow its only 10mp but its got autofocus, should make all the difference
  5. @BluntKnifesorry for hijacking your thread bud
  6. How can u tell? I'm not all to clued up on the signs except single pointed leaves suddenly forming
  7. @Bakstein420 I have no idea haven't noticed any single pointed leaves although the neighbouring plant next to it has a lot of 3 point leaves but its stunted so I'm not too concerned but its getting close to that time where I should keep an eye out as I'm getting daylight from 6am till 6/7pm But otherwise the other younglings im gonna just let them do their thing after transplanting them & train them nicely in a seperate pot, I just grow them in a tub like this for 'natural selection' its much simpler than having 20 pots less work, but must space them nicely and if u f%ck one up u f%ck them all which is why I was so paranoid in the first place lmao

    WTF?!

Yeah haven't flushed again since cause I noticed the vegging guys were showing a lack nitrogen but I'm relieved very happy with her now that I'm certain I haven't f%cked it up Yeah they outdoors, get tons of direct sun, lately 10 hours direct sun, not too worried about them revegging as I'll be transplanting the best of the vegging guys to a different pot (or donating them in prep for idiotic plant count law) then keep all my ladies in a dark room when the days start really stretching soon (been roughly 12/12 here in cpt lately) Lmao 'they know what is what but they don't know what is what' not all that old dude come on we still spring chickens rotflmao @prom overnight it can get it is a bit nippy but this plant doesn't seem to mind the cold cause the leaves aren't hugging' like they done when it was really cold 2 months back But thanks again to all for the input - what should I do with this thread now seeing as its resolved? Delete or leave as is
  9. @CreXThey are yeah!, leaves are perky 'praying' towards the sun, onky thing that freaked me was i never expected a 'swazi' to go purple but like psyclown said very likely polinated by some exotic and this lil guy is showing the trait so I'm stoked, checked underneath and yeah they all good pity she's so small, the buds very resinous already but not much of it so will let it grow out and update in a few weeks Thanks a lot for the input guys appreciate that, Yeah all in the same soil, and yeah all receiving the same which is why it didnt make sense as the other flowering guys weren't doing the same & looked healthy + what made it worse was I fed it with ground up/blended banana skins one day with these color shifts happening within a week of that so I started thinking maybe the mash was too potent but yeah seems to be coincedence - again thanks for the input gonna let it grow out
  10. @PsyCLown Yeah the leaves! its freaking me out lol i guess it could be strain related but if it was I would of expected it to present in more than 1 plant got all the seeds frtom same parcel and this is the only purple one - so perhaps its just a random trait that's showing through from an exotic parent somewhere in the gene pool? I certainly hope so, cause the progression was exceptionally fast, we talking Swazi green to plum purple in 4 days then ontop of it how it progressed and where also ring alarm bells as it started from top affecting highest fan leaves first once they changed then sugars leaves/new growth started changing - makes me lank suspect Let's assume worst case scenario, what's the worst that could happen if It was nutrient related & i just leave it as opposed to pulling it now and drying him out to smoke?

    WTF?!

Got a batch of younglings going and roughly 2 weeks ago I needed to make space in my other tub to train a mother so I transplanted the patient into the tub in the pics - a week in, I start noticing the first issues with the color shift, the fan leaves were only purple ever so slightly around the edges & the plant was still perky and happy so I figured maybe some phosphorus was needed but the color change just got worse & the plant still looks happy, flushing is also not helping I have a 2 preflowering and 1 budding plant next to the patient (looks weird lots of 3 blade leaves) but no other plant is exhibiting any toxicity or purpling? This afternoon I go out and the fan leaves on patient completely deep purple as in pics, yesterday the newer growth had ranrom purple spotting and not purple edges like the fan leaves but today surely enough like in the pic that whole lil sugar leaf is purple I don't have a PH pen so I got no idea where to start (except buying some dolomite) and am reluctant to risk ruining the rest o the plants to save one - even the buds themselves are getting an indigo blue/purple hue to it and I mean this is a swazi plant so any ideas would be appreciated cause im thinking nutrient overdose but if so what to do? Just flush and pray? My concern is the medium is very sandy, am I leaching the available phos in the sand by flushing?
  12. Mines gotten worse gonna start a thread in sick bay to see if anyone's got ideas even the buds starting to go bluish purple - probably phosphorus but the vegging guys (some preflowering) are fine thats why I'm like WTF? @PsyCLown any ideas? Swazi not supposed to be purple and theres no obvious chlorosis on leaves?!
  13. Its almost like saying I can jump higher (or vice versa) during a full moon, something about it not gelling lekka, even though it seems somewhat plausible, thinking logically the difference in 'energy' output (for lack of a better term) between a full moon and qtr moon for example can't be that significant that it would cause u to jump higher or fall to the ground slower - unless I'm perceiving this entirely wrong? Dont know, lol one things for sure its a headtrip thinking bout it hahahahaha
  14. Hmmmm interesting concept but somewhat on the conspiracy side I reckon, moon/gravity has that effect on large bodies of water, growing up deep sea fishing, i know this & know it does help with catching certain species fish and the wind will always be pumping but effects on waves/water is mainly due its gravitational effect on such a massive volume of water so i highly doubt it would have an effect on such a small amount of water let alone that additional gravitational 'pressure' would make a plant absorb water/make use of it more efficiently than what it would normally would or to the point where it contributes significantly - this is just my opinion, could be wrong, but at the same time if it were the case it would of been widely documented so unless a controlled study is done its merely a coincidental observation Makes me think of those studies/arguments that playing classical music in your indoor grow room will improve growth by double digits, a somewhat similar argument here (and just as interesting actually)
  15. Judging by the look on his face he looks like he's busy drukking some compost inside that pot for the grow! ;-D
  16. They looking good dude, all of them, nice one
  17. @Bos I've prepped a batch of calcium carbonate using this method - im just not sure how much of it to dilute in a litre? Teaspoon, tablespoon etc
  18. Nice one bro, then you golden, as long as you know your pH fixing any deficiency is a a whole lot simpler but more importantly it prevents them from happening in the first place - much less guesswork which is what I'm dealing with now I don't know what my PH is and its opened me up to all sorts I've got my vegging plants in a seperate grow basket (bout 6/8 weeks old) along with 1 small flowering plant in the same basket (runt) and I started noticing the veging guys started showing deficiencies while the flowering ones fan leaves went deep purple, within 2 days gradually bout 80% of the fan leaves are deep purple (tiny burn on edges, almost brownish in centre) and its progressed to the lowest new growth so its a mobile nutrient - what makes me scratch my head is that trying to fix the N/mag issues with the vegging guys helped fuckall which made me realise i must of went overkill on organics either way have flushed the kak out of it & today the veg guys looking better and the purpling seems to have stopped on new growth with the lady so maybe I'm out the woods - lol until I get a pH pen I can't be sure if your pH is sorted yeah I don't see any reason not to start feeding the big girls - maybe the other guys can add in but yeah the difference in pH between what goes in vs what goes out you can work out how much nutes your plants are uptaking etc
  19. @BluntKnife i forgot to mention those ec readings are just basic guidelines always follow the instructions on the nutes if they mention an optimum ec for that specific product, obviously better to follow that -
  20. Could of been a nitrogen tox cause those leaves very green but could be strain so without a pH reading pre watering vs PH reading of runoff there's no easy way to say, cause the flush definately helped but seems like washed out other nutrients too or ph i blocking uptake if you gonna treat with Epsom add egg shells too for calcium & keep a close eye for a phosphorus deficiency if u over do it
  21. Depends on grower, strain & individual plant some are more thirsty than others, you'll get a feel for each ones requirements + every grower has their own beliefs lol Personally speaking I usually water with 30% of pot volume every 3rd day with feeding on every 3rd cycle (once weekly) and i havent had any issues if the seedling is under two weeks ill only water with 10% pot volume and only add more if I see plant needs it When trying to figure out nute strength best would be to use an EC pen - typically seedlings can safely take solution with etc of 0.5 - 0.7 until they 2/3weeks (I prefer to use castings or used filter coffee) - Vegetative stage u can start pumping ec up to 1.3-1.7 - flowering 1.3-2.0 - you could wing it without an EC pen but for the price they definately worthwhile
  22. To be honest haven't the slightest clue, perhaps but i doubt it - try Google
  23. @SAgrower jewellers loupe/30x magscope - can't go wrong
  24. Looking really good, awesome stuff!!
