  1. I have cinnamon power in my soul mix. Don't know if I am lucky but I have not had a gnat problem yet. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  2. Week 8. The plants are in the new cabinet and I'm feeling whoop whoop. The cabinet size is 1000x600x1600mm with the option of adding another unit to make it 900mm deep. How many plants would be optimal in this area. I have to many at the moment. The shelves are adjustable so I just drop them as the plant grows. Just by changing the light distribution the plants are improving but still not bushy. I'm popping them on the trolley and moving outside round tea time once it's nice and toasty. They still not bushing out, meant to be Jack Berry given to me by a friend, so I'll read up on the strain. These are the seeds that I got off the 2 outdoor grows (chucked in pot, and left in variouses places round the nursery) until they were ready. They got watered when it was nursery watering time. That's my experience growing. I'm busy chatting with @growopz about a QB75 without a power supply as I have one and budget budget budget. Almost caught up to the present so stay tuned. Spliff time.
  3. Thanks bud and you @StickyD420. I wanted to get this right the first time round. Coming from cfl's I'm yet to experience the power's of led. I don't want to be tempted to hang the lights to close.
  4. Hey there @Tee_Aitch_See, you all good? I was wondering if you found the sweet spot for the light. I'm not sure on what heights to work on. If you raise the light does that equal more coverage for more plants. Are there different heights for veg and flower. And lastly, what size pots you got there. I could trial and error but my plants are a week or so into 12/12 and I don't want to cause kak. Would appreciate any info you have learnt using the light.
  5. Week 7ish. So I've decided to build a bigger cabinet by slapping 2 shelving units together and use 1 of the other cabinets as a veg box. Trying to improve the lighting somehow. I've attached cfl's and a led tube light permanently and the shelving I'll lower as the plants grow. Not the ideal way to use cfl's, I know, but hoping I'll get better light distribution than my previous setup. Oh, by the way, my plants have been on 12/12 for about a week now. I have also started chatting with @growopz to see what he can do for me concerning LED's on a very small budget.
  6. Hi there @420. Every bit of assistance helped getting me to where I am now. Thanks again.
  7. Yeah, so I've been giving it more thought and gonna give it a try. Setting up the veg cabinet this weekend. Once again, great advice and help on this platform.
  8. Week 6. My plants are going through a bit of a growth spurt now. They are getting taller but don't seem to be bushing out. Once again I put this down to my lack of experience with lights or is it something else. Doctor Google. My soil seems to be ok, I'm not adding any nutrition and I'm reading pH levels are important. Check water pH. We have a 160m deep borehole that draws from the Atlantis aquafier or whatever the proper name is. 6.5 - 6.6 which I believe is not bad. To many plants and not enough light I'm thinking. Unfortunately I did not photo journal this week.
  9. Morning @SkunkPharm. Thanks for the thought. Yes I had considered the spot light but after researching a bit my feeling was that my cabinets were a little on the small size and was not sure about the heat. I've settled on the QB75 from @growopz which I can add onto as and when cash lands in my Sky Rocket (pocket).
  10. Thanks again. This Go search engine also seems to be faster.
  11. Believe me bud, I tried everything mentioned except restore factory settings. But hey, it's working. Once again thanks for the guidance.
  12. Ok I'm back, am able to post pics on a search engine I installed. DuckDuckGo. I'll carry on with the tale once the little one's put to bed.
  13. BINGO!! Installed duck duck go search engine and my problem is solved. Thanks for all the help and patience.
  14. Was thinking the same. Add on until I need a better power supply. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  15. Doing my head in buddy. Really starting to think it's my phone. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  16. I'd love to @GGG. Unfortunately I've used up my Tapatalk photo upload limit for the month. I've gone into the growopz website and what I've got is the QB75. Pics will follow when possible.
  17. Hey there all. Picked up my light from growopz today. I think you call it a grow bar, anyway 144 LED's half 3000k and half 4000k. Due to my not so great power supply I'll be getting 73w from it as I understood. What would a good height above plants be and amount of plants under it. Any other tips and hack's would also be greatly appreciated. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks bud. Let me fiddle around some more.
  19. Morning. I have sorted out uploading pics on Tapatalk but still seem unable to upload via the web page. I get to the paperclip image ' click to choose files ' prompt and then nothing happens when I click on the prompt. I have tried everything short of restoring factory settings on my phone. Running out of ideas and not sure if I'm doing something incorrect. Please help me.
  20. Ok, I've used my allowed photo uploads on Tapatalk for the month. Back to trying to upload on the web page and I am still not able to. Will carry on with the story once I've figured it out. I get to the upload prompt and nada. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  21. Week 5. I'm at the stage now of watching and waiting. The plants under the LED under counter lights seem to be stretching faster than the ones under cfl's. I'm putting this down to using the incorrect lights and distance from the light. Still looking good. Of course I'm gonna say that, what do I know about lights. Time to get doctor Google out and my research starts with earnest and that's where I stumble upon the forum. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  22. Week 4. Everything still looking good. I'm at the stage where I'm battling to get my plants under as much light as possible. We have a new born and nappies are the priority at this stage of lockdown, no income in over 2 months now. Need a plan for more lights. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  23. Going into week 3 since I popped the plants under lights. The previous pics are to show the cabinets and not the plants. Everything still looks fine and I'm, mmm what's so hard about this, just need to get a few more cfl's and Bob's your uncle. The plants are on 18/6 cycle as I am not sure what the electricity bills gonna be, I was thinking about leaving the lights on 24 hours straight. As with the grow set up improving so was the moonshine still being upgraded.[emoji2957] Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
