  1. Nice fan, but you still need 2... one in, one out. I have a 150 3 speed version on my 1.2x1.2 running lowest speed, is very silent, i give em that
  2. Lights- @Light It Up 2x 240w Qb soooooooo ^^ enough for half your tent... will work nice on 1.2x1.2 area... for sure not enough light to flower on 2.4x1.2 that ez100... is that a bathroom extractor?
  3. very much agree on the COB... if you add 1 more of the LEDs you have, you run 660watts over 1.2x2.. is enough. But you can also nicely adapt to different canape hights. Stick to 1.2x1.2 for now and add the next light when it fits the wallet. 1.2x1.2 is a rather big grow space. If you do a good run and use the light correct, 2 grams per watt, should be easy reachable. With 440 watts, you should reach over 800g dry. How many plants is relative and depends on the strain and what type. If you do a proper 17 cut mainlining, 4 photo plants will need the space. Or 9 tall growing autos or 16 small growing autos. The better you know the strain, the better you know what is coming size wise. Stick to what you have and can handle.. a full space brings other challanges. After 2 grows, you know very well what makes sense to add to your setup. The lights you have are in my preferred config spectrum wise. I think you will enjoy your grow time. Just watch those temperatures!
  4. Son of a friend runs the same light, he uses one in a 1.2x0.6.. result is good for the fertilizer he used My TS3000s also have less diodes compared to 4 288 QBs, still work fine on a 1.2x1.2. I would use more wattage per area as diodes per area. Still want to try how much i get out of 360 watt, 3 288QBs on a 1.2x1.2. Grams per watt could go up, just always takes 3 months to run a test to answer one question. @Milie just keep your distance and you get a good footprint, pack your grow space and have enough ventilation on each plant. keep us posted.
  5. with those two lamps you can easy run a 1.2x1.2 grow space during flower
  6. Good light, stick to 30cm distance for flower. Nothing should suffer if you keep your room temp ok.
  7. You should be able to leave your hand on... you run to hot. 2 options.. more direct air on the lamp or better passive cooling, or a dimmer and reduce the input by a little. Tent temperature you have to check not to go over 26.. terps will suffer otherwise. Over 30 is baaaaaaad ^^ You have me a link to the lamp? Not sure I looked at the right place, couldn't find it.
  8. When they are running, can you put your hand on and leave it on? Or getting to hot to touch? Endless board configurations and they all dont work, if they get to hot and you have your plants to close. Even if your plants should touch your boards, they shouldnt get crisp the cooler your lamps run, the more efficient they operate, heat forms resistance. Can you post a pic how you run them? In any case, dont go closer as 30cm. No real need to really go closer, you just smaller your footprint. I keep my 288 QBs at 40cm distance for flower
  9. ^^ Follow the guys before.. you might need to increase your ventilation inside the tent by quite a bit. If you have 288 QBs, 30 cm is close and the closest part will not be able to use all the light you give it.. except you run a additional CO2 generator. As @SkunkPharm said, is hard to burn with LED, as the head radiation is very low.. not zero but should't get hot enough to actually burn your plants. If your boards get so hot, that they emit strong heat radiation, you have a cooling issue on your QBs.. hand warm they run efficient, the hotter they get, the more inefficient they run. If you can't touch them, you need cooling.
  10. Is a hybrid.... more info you will hardly get. Would be very cool, if you could identify the strain over the leaf You might grow something nice, or might be a total waste of time. It bares advantages to know what you grow
  11. That is how it should look like very sexy Ladies you got there!
  12. He didn't even let you taste it? Bambuleeeeee ^^ If you grow them yourself, rather sure you get to a satisfying result Don't go to heavy on the nutes.. they don't like it to much, they stun rather fast. I ruined a batch with my 8 week table but stressed those poor things so heavy, 4 turned into photos.. which I pheno hunt now, growing nice so far. Lets see if the 12/12 plants turn out as potent as the 20/4.
  13. I would bring that bulb back and avoid the store in the future. They sell you any crap or they have ZERO idea what they sell you.. both cases.. you want to avoid the store for future business transactions
  14. A friend ran his first grow on HPS, got it from a friend for free. Works, they stretch way more on HPS. And need 60 to 90cm distance or you run into problems, the high radiation heat made his plant go foxtail, when he ran out of top space. Not sure what you want to test... we know HPS works... we know LED works... and LED wins by advantages for home growers... also known
  15. GSC is a bit a swingy plant. Still one of my preferred smokes. But i prefer when they pheno direction Durban Poison. Friend of mine is also complete fan of the Fastbuds LSD25.. is still on my list to grow. But seeds got confiscated by customs, got a letter from SARS i actually had to giggle. Not sure they took the seeds because wrong declared or cannabis seeds. Like we scratch out head if the seeds i declared just didnt got checked at all. Keep in mind, all you order from outside is very slow due to Post Office... not sure they deserve the name anymore. Snail Office fits better. And after waiting 5 months, might get confiscated.. order local or check that if you get visit from europe, check they can bring you some seeds order local is faster and saver. I guess my seeds ended with Zuma's son, heard he has a monstrous grow operation going
  16. @Fridge B - B - B - Bingo The Gelato is about 1 mile ahead of the next ones Problem is that you have to import ^^ Customs just grabbed my FastBuds order so send the guys a msg to pack 30 seeds max, declare them on the manifest and put a letter with: free samples, value zero! hehehe and see what customs do. If it goes past, FastBuds also knows how to send into SA otherwise I ship to my German address and take em with over Xmas The mess they do with seeds.. I ordered when the draft said: unlimited seeds and seedlings you can posses. Hope they fork out the law soon, so we know what we can work with, at the moment customs them self seem rather confused. The Fedex seeds I declared.. went through zero problemo. If you look for something tasty and local available. Nirvana still have some good genetics in their selection on Autos. The Bubblelicious is a very sexy smoke, fruity and if you let it go late, kicks like a donkey. I made a "few", over 30 plants total of those, and they all ended up about the same with no heavy pheno swings. Like the FastBuds Gelato, very stable. The Blue Cheese (Blueberry Cheese, who ever gave the name Blue Cheese should get shot) from Nirvana is also a very aromatic smoke but.. you get some super tasty ones and some rather boring ones, I would say your chance is 50/50 to end with a good one, plant 2, 3 to be sure ^^. Their Blueberry Kush has some veeeeery sexy phenos in... problem, 1 out of 4 ^^ I made a few, got 4 really really awesome smelling and tasting plants, the others were just average. And autos you can't keep.. so the more stable strains are more fun to grow. HSO Sour Diesel or NYC Diesel.. is what I call proper Diesel. If I look for Diesel, I always go HSO. If you look for a Sativa dominant plant.. and you like the taste.. BINGO! ^^ Have so many people loving the weed.. I put it up, also Sativa dominant ^^ Royal Gorilla Automatic from Royal Queen Seeds. It won a cup.. you understand why, when you taste it. Is a bit a weed you don't get the taste to often and when you are done with the joint, you always ask why so fast. Very smooth silky smoke.. (edit. also very stable strain, tasted no difference per plant) Still want to sneak into Mephisto.. but that is for next year.. doing FastBuds this year.. didn't had a bad strain from those guys yet.. just grows and tastes.
  17. Sexy... and don't worry, the next 3 weeks they will stock up on bud material Looking perfect for end week 7. Good Job!
  18. If it rains a lot, check that your drainage works. The standing water will do most damage to your roots. If it doesnt stop raining, consider building an arch if your plants flower, put them under cover. Never used any biodyne product.. let us know how it turns out. You find nothing on their website? Dosage is a bit key
  19. The 1.2x0.6 is a very sexy tent size. You reach all corners very easy and you dont really need to go bonkus on air flow. If you cant have it to noisy. A simple desk fan for entry, a small occilating inside and if you go with a light, combined with its own cooling, like the Mars144, you have very little noise in the room, but still a working system. Might smell a bit thou If it is your first indoor grow, i wouldnt go over the edge. Big tents bring work with them. I love my 1.2x0.6.. just easy to work with. You can always get a bigger one and sell the small one... but in general you add tents
  20. You would need 2 of those lights for a 1.2x1.2, or 1 for a 1.2x0.6 Mammoth or the Mars Hydro... i never had a Mammoth. My Mars tents look pretty good after 1 year usage. All zippers work, no stitch let go. How many plants fit in... imagine you are a doctor and a 2 meter guy comes to you with his tiny wife and asks: she is pregnant, how tall will be our child? If you do a awesome job, 4 and is full. If you fuck over your auto batch... 16 easy if you do all right, 1kg dry should be easy to reach on a 1.2x1.2 area. Better number as amount of plants.
  21. I got me a new batch of sifs. China man took a few more sizes as they fit so nice into each other... paid around 26 us$ per sif. The shipping was 150 If you order, just check what sizes you like, i went 40cm diameter, there are bigger and smaler too. They shipped one of each mesh size no problemo. You even get shakers for those, i didnt went that far... yet
  22. As in everything, to much isn't good. Yes, to much IR will harm your plants, but it isn't also on the same scale with LED as it was with HID systems. The heat radiation (IR is part of it) is way more intense. So if you use the right distance and the right amount of IR, it will benefit your grow, as IR helps the plant by stimulating photosynthesis, growth and flowering, among other needed processes in the plant. If you use lights without IR (yes, works) and reach the top of your tent.. no need for IR. But if you reach with IR plant size around 1.20 to 1.50 meter.. they would be smaller without IR. I avoid UV.. and read some articles in the last months, that I might even have to revise that opinion. But UVA seems to be beneficial to potency, were UVC and UVB are harmful. I look to get 315-400nm diodes and test that ^^ But then again.. IR stimulates raisin production too.. at least to my knowing ^^ For now I stick with my 3000k 660nm QB288s (have 8 in use).. and reach 2 to 2.5g per watt. @PsyCLown the IR range starts around the 700nm, you can count the 660 in.. as it is part of the radiation handling some vital processes in the plant. There are some strains.. very hungry for IR during flowering.. any OG Kush or SDs thrive best with. And to my knowing IR is one of the best to interact with the phytochromes, which are special light receptors and regulate essential processes like plant stem growth, how the leaves expand and flowering. I don't tell people what to use.. me for my part.. I always use boards with IR on them. I wrote a little guide not to long ago:
  23. @Light It Up lets start with the welcome! had a quick look... i guess you guys just setup? QB288s... 2 options you offer right now. The single QB shows on the picture IR diodes. So the 3500k 660nm would work as grow board. Using just one for veg on a 1.2x1.2... is a bit "optimistic". I love QBs too, but they are not 'that' good the 3500k would be my second choice, care to elaborate why you offer only those? Pure interest, the 3500k boards work, no argument here The dual board... yes you can hang one in a 2.4x1.2 tent, but that wouldnt be enough to actually light it calculate at least 3 boards, better 4, for a 1.2x1.2 meter space. The picture you use shows a board without IR and would no be useable as grow light for flower. Infra red is one of the mayor wave lenght needed. Distances you provide are for germination, vegetative and flower state?
  24. that is what we talk about! Not the densest, but for a winter grow, rather excepional result. That looks rather tasty, @Dank Very much dialed in! Plant Porn
