I know a few growers that swear by their 1000w HPS. As long as you can manage the heat and handle the electricity bill, then you're golden.

@Psylecta I thought the same but I water with tap water and my pH is on point growing in a fresh batch of FF green bag. Couldn't understand why that would be an issue.
Turns out P and K excess can manifest as a cal/mag defiency to name a few.
My fault finding skills when it comes to cannabis are terrible, so I could be way out. I flushed with some epsom salts followed with a low strength feed and she seems to be doing ok.

The Mexican Airlines is slowly doing its thing.
Fastbuds recommend taking it easy with nutes so I have only given her half strength feeds every 3rd watering.
Apart from that, not much to report back about. I am really enjoying growing autos outdoor and I'm quite surprised I haven't had issues with regards to the elements or pests (touch wood).

Good afternoon 420 fam.
Had a problem with the C4, I usually feed lower dosages than recommended, but tried to up the flower nutes. I'm pretty sure I ended up with a potassium/phosphorous excess. Fan leaves started looking like this.
She seems to be doing ok though and i have returned to lower dosage feeding.
Not sure if its the strain of the hot days here and there, but getting some foxtailing. Buds have a strong berry smell.
Even the lower buds dont look too bad.

I can't believe Cannabist have the audacity to have a link on their website saying "feeling a bit weary , no stress ask members on 420SA about their experience" and it leads me here.
Put in an order with them a month ago worth R2000, a few days later i check out the reviews on 420 just for interest and i realized that everything had gone to sh!t, they haven't responded to my emails or whatsapp. I'm sitting here with pots filled with soil , everything's ready but nothing to plant. Out of 13 local seed banks I chose Cannabist
These guys should be closed down , they can't run a business like this.
Quickly try reverse the EFT or payment. It is so sad how things have turned out, looked so promising when he first hit the scene.

Other things you can do is yellow sticky strips and direct a fan over the top of your pots (stops the fungus gnats from landing on your soil).

Since Cannabist went off the reservation, @Sacred Seeds has become my go to. Every order has been delivered in breeders packaging with surplus seeds and paraphernalia (plenty rolling papers, a grinder etc).

Bro your plants are gorgeous, so much variety you are in for a treat. When I've have fungus gnats my first goal is to dry out that top layer of soil, gnat larvae cant survive in dry soil.
Next thing is a top dress of Diatomacious Earth, I personally use Karbadust but alot of growers object to it so rather use DE if you have it.
Main thing with fungus gnats is to make sure that top layer of soil isn't wet for long periods of time, that is their breeding grounds.

If you smoke the leaves then what do you do with the flower?

@ORGANinc. The company is called Root Maker and they call the pots Root Trappers.

I also found that I get a better yield with my grow bags wrapped in cling film especially the top 3/4 of the bag. It prevents the soil from drying to quickly thus gives more root space therefore you get a bigger yield. It seems to be counter intuitive to why we use grow bags. But it works.
I have been looking into this and found the following. Local fabric pots prune the roots through air pruning, but this allows the soil to dry too quickly.
There is a brand in the US that wraps there fabric pots in a white film, stops the medium from drying too quickly and the white colour aids with heat in the root zone when in direct sunlight. These pots prune the roots through root entrapment.

I've got the same happening on a Zour Apple im busy mainlining, but the Banana Daddy next to it is growing fine.

Has growth visually stalled? Has she been this height/size for a few days?
Can we get a pic without the blurple lights asseblief.

@DamDave you can build your own LED light. Buy the strips from Digikey and slap it together yourself, not difficult.

Otherwise get hold of @growopz or @Master_G, they both do locally manufactured LEDs.
