  1. Hi all, i would like for this thread to help growers identify problems with deficiencies or Nutrient burn/lockdown. please feel free to post advise on how you diagnose your plants or attach a chart that may be useful for others to use. Being a new indoor grower myself i have run into this issue a few times already and even though the guys on the forums are very helpful. It is still best to understand and know how to identify these issues. Also both these issues can be caused by PH imbalance, so always, before making adjustments to feeding or even flushing, CHECK YOUR PH to ensure it is at the correct ph for your medium. i found these charts to help me best diagnose my plants, hope they help for you guys too. happy growing.
  2. Just checked in on the ladies and saw the leaves are starting to go more yellow on the one.
  3. @Dank i got a mix of 7 coolwhite & 2 warm white led15w, each 1 output is equal to 90w hps 1x 300w full spectrum led (not sure what its output is) 1 x 1200w (output)full spectrum Led(Bestva) and it only draws 254w. 1 x Heatlamp 240w, just to keep temp nice and used for popping seeds. Will be moving heatlamp and 1200w light to budding section once i got plants to move there. Maybe add a few warm white LED’s. Should work nice for budding? 1x1.5x1.5m area i definitely think LED’s will be the way forward. A lot more cost efficient and plants love the full spectrum lights. Reduction in heat. This being said, i have never used other lights though, so there may be a lot of difference in opinion in the regard. Maybe someone who has gone both routes cam give better insight. thanks for this, some very useful tips in ur write-up. Will checkout the links now.
  4. Did you come right with this? Did you manage to lower that ph? If so, what did you flush with? I used my regular feeding just ph to 5.8. please let me know if there is a better way and also how to avoid the spike in coco?
  5. Hey guys, just a few questions plz. i still see some signs of deficiencies on my girls, had a mix up with my soil meter giving the wrong reading for a few days now, so completely fucked up the feedings. Flushed them all yesterday and got ph to 6.1. I have also decided to go with coco/perlite/soil mix. Ive noticed the plants that looks the best and gives almost no kak, are in this mix, as suppose to the ones in coco/perlite/vermiculite. Also takes less watering and feedings, saving sum moola anyhoo, my questions. 1. What is optimal room temp? 2. What is optimal soil temp? 3. When watering, should i slightly heat water(if so, to what temp) or use room temp water? 4. PPM, i know what this is, but still don't really understand it fully and how to monitor that it is correct? im collecting my new ppm meter and ph meter today. Also want to go get that cocomix nutes from hydroshop for R350.

    Calcium?

Yeah, waste of fucking money, if you ask me.

    Calcium?

I just realized that my soil meter was reading wrong, fucking up my feedings. Flushed them all earlier and got ph to 6.1 growing in coco/perlite/soil
  8. Im a fan of role playing and strategy games. Civilizations (gathering storm) Galactic Civilizations3 Cities Skylines also like going back to oldschool played Dungeon Keeper2 the other day, quite enjoyed it, i must say.
  9. I think we all been there, lol. still looking bru.
  10. Update on the unknown strains. Some of these guys are surprising me with some amazing growth over just a few days(pic1&2), cant wait to see what they look like next tomorrow, i mean next week;) i did also notice the ones doing so great are the ones in coco/perlite/soil mix, gave no kak at all. The other that are just in coco/perlite/vermiculite showed signs of deficiencies early already and has been up and down to keep their ph at 5.8, which for some reason after adding mix reads at 6.2. Yes the mix was ph balanced to 5.8 before feeding. i think on next replant i will add all of the plants to coco/perlite/soil mix instead. Also takes less feedings, as suppose to everyday feedings with coco/perlite/vermiculite.
  11. Just an update on the Lem Skunk seedlings. Went through a bit of a stall in their growth due to calcium def, but it seems to have picked up over the last 2 days. I managed to line the walls with white plastic sheeting, only R23/m(1.5x1.0) also got new lights, it all definitely made a moerse difference. The last pic is just to give you guys an idea on my vegging setup, for now
  12. White sheeting is up and wasnt that expensive, only R23/m. Looks nice i think. new lights all installed. Finally grow area all sorted.
  13. Still seeing this on the leaves. Ive added calmag over last 2 feedings. For some reason i ph my mix to 5.8, but when testing the cocomix, it reads 6.1?
  14. Looks like she finally taking off
  15. Just a update on their growth from last week. The one seems to be stagnant, don't see much new growth on it, if any.
  16. I got this today. Should cover everything, right? that is everything that could be wrong with her now.

    Calcium?

I was thinking of getting those package deals at hydro shop. Mix for coco peat. Coco micro mix Think its R350 for 3 x 1lt
  24. I think im just gonna replant them into pure coco/perlite/vermiculite. Then its somma done. Also with the nutes i use, should i mix them or just use one mix per feeding? The bottles say not to mix, but the vids i watch the guys mix different nutes together? i also add some calmag to each feeding.
