HI all New to the forum and to growing indoor, very excited. hoping to pickup some new tricks and tips on growing and in the process connect with some other weed lovers like myself.

I browsed around online and found that CFL lights are just as good as most grow lights and cost a fraction of the energy. i get from each bulb (cool white) 6000k 90lumen/w and for vegging just switch to warm white 2600k 90lumen/w Did i make mistake?

What ph level should your nutrient mixed water be? I tested mine earlier and it was 8.5ph which i assume is way too high?
