So they always break, and that's just how they made, don't think you can get them to last, but the people selling them at futurama say you suppose to have them running half the time, because it will wear them out faster if you keep them running the whole time, So I'm waiting for the last 2 I have to give in and them im going back to hanging desk fans.
@SkunkPharm says the wire wears itself out because of A the zip tie keeping the cable in place is basically strangulating the cable while oscellating and the cable is almost threaded through the neck of the grip thing and down, if you can unthread it and have it come out of the housing, it will take a lot of stress of the wiring. Maybe give that a go.
I've disassembled every one I've owned at least once during their individual lifetime in attempts to extend their use. I also find that the motor builds up a lot of fine particles along the drive shaft between the motor and the blades, which increases friction on the motor and eventually wearing it out. I had the wire issue once with a fan, and sorted that out with some new wire and some soldering.
I then ended up buying into RAM fans and I have found they work as long as you don't use the oscillation function at all...or so I thought! One of them died after maybe 3 months of just stationary work. Luckily all the RAM products come with I think 6 month warranties so I'll just keep getting them replaced until one lasts longer than the warranty

Entering week 9 of the ZxP, I have just chopped the plants and hung them in the tent.
I have also flipped the other two tents into flower. The one ZxP tent is suffering what appears to be the same issue as the big tent ZxP did with regards to a nute lockout. The runoff was also again very high pH. I've already flushed and refed fresh nutes and the new growth looks greener than the established growth, so I said yolo and flipped to flower.
Organic Tent™ powering on.

I think that sums it up nicely and the topic here is exhausted. I feel we've reached as much of a constructive point as possible before it really jumps off the rails. Everyone has had their say here, no need to try force ideological shifts at this point.
If anyone actually gets their hands on some Hitler, you can open up another thread and we talk about just the strain.

Hi there.
Could someone please point me in the right direction as to which sub forum/s I should post in?. OUTSIDE GROW with Co co perlite and dripper irrigation!.
INSIDE GROW with Wilma 4 pot system using hydrorox(clay pebbles) in 1.2x1.2 tent!.
Many thanks for all help....
You can either do two separate threads in the Grow Diaries section for your outdoor and indoor grows respectively, or throw them both into one thread.

Could maybe try hang an old curtain and add some velcro to stick it closed against the wall if needed.
I remember they used to sell single tent walls with a zipper in the middle. That could've maybe worked too.

Put yourself in the shoes of a person whose entire nation was hoodwinked into some batshit crazy genocidal madness.
I live in South Africa, I know this feeling very well with regards to our ANC who have killed many millions of people through their inept and backward racial policies.

As a German and as someone whose grandfather participated in the war, I give you all permission to make as many jokes about the war and Hitler as you want
This "protect everyone's feelings" rubbish is really getting out of hand.

I've given the Organic Tent™ some attention today. I've repositioned the two Wedding Cake plants in the middle so that they do not overwhelm the OMG plants surrounding them and also removed more big fan leaves in general.
I'd also like to give an initial observation to the four OMG plants I've got going.
OMG #1: Super thicc edition. The internodal spacing on this plant is so tight that in the time I have grown an 8-way manifold on the other plants, this one is still stuck on just an initial top, so two main stems. I'm thinking of just keeping this one at two main colas so that it doesn't compete with itself too much and to also keep up in terms of height.
This pheno would be really good as a sea-of-green with many small pots and single colas. If this pheno rocks me dead then I'll keep it, otherwise I will be selecting for yield and training ability.
OMG #2: Getting warmer. An 8-way manifold was achieved but it's still quite tight. This is as tight as I would want before I feel like the stems would begin heavily competing with each other. I've put a comparison photo next to the one below showing the difference between the OMG #2 and Wedding Cake behind it.
OMG #3: The cripple. I broke this one while training and the attempted rescue of the stem failed. I might consider topping this one once again to get two colas, or I might just grow one cola. The internodal spacing on this one is also pretty tight so that's why I might lean towards just the one cola. I would say this one is between #1 and #2.
OMG #4: Probably the best one going so far in terms of veg growth and training. This one has the largest internodal spacing of the four OMG, but still tighter when in comparison to the Wedding Cake. If it were judged in terms of it's ability to achieve the 8-way manifold then this would be the one. If it yields quality flower it will be the keeper.

Here's a thorough update. My small veg tent has some well established and trained dedicated mother plants and clones being taken every two weeks. I am doing this mostly for cloning practice and to guarantee I don't lose a potential harvest again because of delayed clones.
Other veg tent I am deciding on when to flip. I was thinking of considering it when the current feed in the reservoir finishes up, probably another week.
Some fun in the Organic Tent™. I have completed training on some of the plants that allowed it. Two of the OMG phenos are working really nicely with training, the other two have such tight internodal spacing that I am probably just going to top them once only. The two Wedding Cake clones in the center are doing well.
While training one of the OMG plants, I accidentally snapped off the one branch. I attempted to remedy it by sticking it back in place and supporting it, but it eventually just atrophied, so I shopped it off. This particular plant will then just have a single cola, lol.
Finally, we are at week 6 in the big flower tent. I've removed most of the big fan leaves. Trichomes are busting and the terpenes are great. Very Autumny colours this time around with the ZxP. I am really looking forward to this one. I have also invested in a trim bin to collect some dry hash that I would like to then press for dab. The remaining trim I would then like to make some infused sunflower oil with for some edibles.

this gave me a chuckle
is it for real or you joking? if it's the latter, then that's a good one, sir!
Just kidding about the name but clubs definitely do change the names of strains they acquire.

Good afternoon good folk,
Another forum newbie introducing himself, old skool grower/smoker and forum newbie. "Hi!"
Have been a part of many other forums over the years, so I understand forum etiquette well.
Have a blessed day folks!
What kinda treats and tricks you have for us?

with the level of trust and loyalty in our part of the world you might even find it somewhere else under a different name also
Most probably the case. More often than not as soon as a grow club or distributor acquires a strain in bulk they will tend to just name it to whatever they want before sending off themselves.
Look for the name "Austrian Artist" as an alternative to "Hitler".

That is an idea, thanks.
How big light are you talking about, 50watt led security light?
Yes that will work. You aren't aiming to grow with the light, just making sure the light hours are extended.

I think you would be faced with the same issues you had previously if you plant outside now. I would expect the plants to reveg before fully flowering within the next 2/3 months.
Unless you maybe keep a little spotlight on the plants and veg through the rest of this year and flower some monsters for next year's outdoor harvest

I used to also use the Sonoff switches but have since moved on to the Major Tech digital timer. Was a bit pricey to replace all the Sonoff switches but at the end of the day well worth it.

Good day everyone, how's it?
I was wondering if anyone know of a hydro or grow shop in the north side of Pretoria?
It doesn't feel right to pay more for shipping than an item is worth so i would rather collect.
Thanks.
Closest I can think of is Hi Grow on Lynnwood Rd. I haven't been there in some time so let us know how it's looking

Bleak day, but they are likely to appeal so there's another 3 year stretch. Supreme court is likely to say the same though, this is a legislature problem, not an interpretation problem. Government needs to legislate the laws now. However, if they appeal again to the Constitutional court, we might just come full circle again.
For anyone who'd like the official judgement I'll upload it here below.
Lol they are using the same picture of what they called a "dagga lab" from a bust not too long ago to represent grow clubs bunch of muppets.
