Currently looking at either Canada, Holland and the UK - UK being the easiest as I can get an ancestral visa.

Reason? Because I don't like this country, never have. Apart from the useless government, crime, just general failing economy, the grass will most definitely be greener on the other side, even if its just one shade.

Canada is one of the places top of my list to travel to, specifically Montreal and Toronto. Never been to the UK, closest I've been to Holland is probably Berlin. Lived in Poland, Warsaw for 5 years growing up. Can't compare using my experiences because those were such radically different times. I'll be travelling to Munich at the end of this year with a more mature mind which I hope to be enlightening, especially with this topic in mind.

But as @Bospatrollie2 says, a weekend trip doesn't really count, but I'm not really interested in immigrating, just trying to see the other side's perspective.

I'm starting plans to immigrate next year sometime, if everything pans out.

Where are you keen to head towards? What are the factors? Keen to hear 😊

Woah... I wanna respond... But it's too early 🤣

I agree with you though... It's a go to saying for a lot of white folk...

Eg. "this robots been out for 2 weeks, honestly this country is going to the dogs. As soon as I can I'm fucking off to New Zealand"

    😂 Go for it boi

It is not just white folks that are immigrating. It is all your highly educated people. It is the easiest for them to go. Both my brothers are gone. My sister is also looking into it. I'm sticking around not going anywhere. I have always been the black sheep.

From my experience, it's pretty 50/50 when it comes to who is moving. Not always the most successful people, not always white people either. I saw recent Carte Blanche episode talking about how many skilled Africans are going to Australia now, more so than white folk. Sign of the times?

    Morning, my 2c's

We live in one of the most beautifull countries in the world and our cost of living is still cheaper than most.
We have no hurricanes, no earthquakes, no volcanos, no tsunamis.

If you want to go, you go.
But as was mentioned above, if you decide to go, do your homework. Doing it to
''get away'' is for the wrong reasons, you should be ''going towards'' to better or improve your life.

But on the other side of the coin, how can you judge ''how bad'' it is? Have you even been anywhere else to be able to make an informed comparison?
    You will be pleasantly surprised.
Yes, there are problems in RSA....most other countries have similar problems and some are actually worse.

Before you jump the fence, go have a look first.
(Fyi a weekend trip does not count)

I suppose the question is, if you did have the means to immigrate, would you based simply on the fact that you can? Question is open to the floor.

If you're talking about overseas where it is legal, well, it is legal and therefore not an issue.

If you're talking locally, I am not aware of any online bud shops. No clue how they do it.

There are several local online bud shops, but just like piracy on a broadband forum, I don't see it necessary to post links or really name them, but I'm pretty sure you're aware of some of them.

I admit to being a bit vague in my previous post, I meant to question how they manage to get away with it rather than the physical methods used, but I see that's going off topic.

I have never sent weed via post, I do not think it is a great idea either especially considering I am not sure how legal it is.

If you really have to, I'd consider the following to try be on the safe side. Last thing you want is a seized package and  police rocking up at your place.

    1. Vacuum pack it, then vacuum pack it again - do this as close to shipping as possible as the smell will start to permeate the packaging and will get worse with time.

    2. Purchase some coffee beans and put the vacuum packed bud inside there - my thinking being to try and help mask the scent from any of the courier employees as once it has left your hands you have no control over the parcel.

    3. Take the fastest shipping available, same day or overnight. The less time it spends with the couriers the safer IMO, also the smell will continue to permeate the vacuum packaging as time goes by.

That is my 2c, it may be overkill and unnecessary though.

If you really have a lot of excess, consider doing some extracts for him as well. Some dab for example.

I rate this is the best solution for the question at hand. I'd also add that you should pay cash for the delivery service to keep as anonymous as possible.

Other than that, as you say, tinctures and oils would be the safest way to go with regards to safely couriering across country.

Unlikely there would be subscribers on this forum as most members here would plan on growing themselves - the people who do not want to or cannot grow themselves will be more the target audience for The Haze Club.

Snap true story..probably more likely to have a grower working for The Haze Club to be around.

In fact, I wonder how much the growers get paid out of the +-R1149-00 per month the customer spends :investigating

    Hi everyone

Im looking for a recipe for cannabis leaf tea. Any tips?

You gotta do the whole extraction process, for tea you would probably want to attempt to create or find an oil extract with the potency that you desire, and simply use that with your tea of choice.

As far as I can tell, you gotta decarb your trim before it's gonna do anything for you, medicinally speaking at least.

  7. As I end a busy day, toking from a Buddha Vape, lurking some of the lesser visited sections of the forum, I figured I'd post up a topic in this section on a something that's been on my mind recently.

I come across loads of people in my profession, and I make an effort to put down time to do face-to-face meetups 9 out of 10 times. I seem to be coming across a lot of people that are perpetually scoping some kind of "escape plan" out of SA. I say escape plan because it sounds like they're trying to 'get away' rather than 'run towards' something. It sounds like an alternative rather than a 'follow through' or 'the next big step' in these people's lives, at least from what I can pick up from what they tell me.

Ja, aspects of our country eats ass, but I can promise you there are real kak places out there that are waaaay worse, but I also don't know how you can compare states of living on an objective level between countries (other than the obvious extreme dark parts of our world) unless you legit know and have already had a taste of that overseas life and would genuinely dig it. I'm not talking about the kinds of people who have had their eyes set on a career abroad and have been working at it for life, I'm talking people that are just now thinking, "jissis you know, I must make a plan to get out as soon as possible [insert arbitrary reasoning here]".

I rate you make what you have of your environment and make the best of things, this place has a lot to offer in my opinion. I also understand uncontrollable circumstances and perspectives, people either got it good from the beginning or had to work to get it good, or never really got good ever. I just don't think the philosophy of "as long as it's not here" is very good.

Or am I missing some kind of truly horrifying impending doom 'the Rand is going to hyper-inflate to smithereens' type happenings going on? Yes, a ratings downgrade would seriously suck all-round for just everybody in general, but these people are talking uncontrolled land grabs and near civil war kinda business.

So I suppose the old ballies would know better, does this kind of mentality just exist in general, does it come in waves or am I missing something?

    Toke up and type up.

  8. Fellow Da Buddha owner over here!

I've gone through the list, I've done all the blunt papers, all the rizzla, all the bongs (even the electric ones) and I gotta say, Da Buddha damn straight changed the game.

I also invested in a portable version, not by the same company though. It's called the Arizer ArGo, super awesome little vape device. Doesn't have the kick of Da Buddha, but it works for stealth medication in public/not-so-kosher areas.

Vaping at home all week then seeing friends over the weekend that don't vape and smoke blunts, bongs etc then going back to vaping just shows me every time how superior vaping is.

I also collect all my AVB, and when I fill a mason jar up I use the AVB to make brownies, and they come back for a vengeance 8-)

Edit: Hey @420SA, got any neat tips and tricks for a fellow Buddha user? (asks as he rips from his Buddha) *exhales

I find that warming up the glass of the bowl before vacuuming the ganja helps with the 1st rip as I usually find that the 1st rip with a cold bowl is always major flaccid 😟

  9. This was such a pleasure to read through. I currently have a small indoor grow, and I would love to get to the point of having a greenhouse like this.

Where some would want to go from greenhouse to indoor, I feel like the opposite 😅

  10. Be prepared to pay a year's worth of rent upfront. Landlords will want to insure themselves against possible changing legislation.

Or you could rent a house/commune and start a communal setup there. That'd probably be way cheaper, but now you're living with the boys growing an unreasonably hilarious amount of ganja 👽

  11. That's wack. Should be a TH license per store, with a registered healer on site when cannabis is sold. There should be some kind of consultation process instead of just taking the piss, lie about your "chronic back ache" and purchase sub-medicinal cannabis. It not only disrespects cannabis, but also the genuine work some traditional healers put into helping people.

This is the start we have been waiting for. Social clubs will pop up next and they will need growers.

I think social clubs would be super dope. I think the great barrier to that is location, privacy and the ability to be ensured that it will not be confiscated or destroyed.

  13. I purchased from Canapax for about a month but the local Canapax near me dropped in quality in a major way. At first, the outdoor was decent, and it appeared that virtually all their stock was outdoor, but after a month the stock got sold and what they replaced the stock with was terrible, actually quite sad. Pressed, over-dried, no aroma weed. I've bought weed in public parks better than what I saw that day.

I don't dig how fast and the amount of franchises they opened. Last I checked they are 40+ nationwide. That's nuts. They claim to operate as traditional healers, but at no point did I feel like I was dealing with a person trying to elevate my being. Just a handful of dudes looking to make some quick cash. Just feels like zero love and all business. I am only impressed in how well they monopolised (to an extent), I don't think the undergound market felt much of an affect due to Canapax, but they did take an opportunity, and they took it with all three hands.

The problem is that the police do NOT ask questions. They will raid and confiscate ALL plants. Only later when proven innocent will they return all confiscated items. By that time all plants are dead and loads of customers lost their plants AND their money.

I know it's a major hack. 😓 I wouldn't be surprised if a small startup business did the same as The Haze Club and got shut down at some point with no reparations

    But how is it legal?

Looking at their website, they say they have the same law firm involved that helped with the constitutional ruling.

And that they "lease to you a grow space"

Hereby making it your "personal space" and therefore legal to grow in.

This still lacks licensing, and there doesn't look to be any way of actually proving their member count beyond reasonable doubt..

What if the constitution rules that you can only have, say, 5 plants max per household..

They seem to have a decent grow establishment, so bud should be decent... But still a year and a bit to go before we know what's happening with the laws, this shouldn't be allowed should it?

While others are still prosecuted in their own homes for weed? It all seems just too unfair to those who have struggled..

I also can't find an address for the haze club? Surely a registered company should have an address?

Schindlers as well as The Haze Club both use the premise of privacy to argue the case of personal, private use of cannabis, Schindlers within the Constitutional Court, and The Haze Club within the capitalist environment. If you do not need a license to grow for yourself at home, then you don't need a license to pay someone to grow "your" weed. Also, because of how a lease agreement works in South Africa, when you lease a space, you are in all legal respects the owner of that space for the duration of that lease agreement. This is probably why they limit the number of plants to two, most likely on the advise of Schindlers, which could hint towards what we can expect for the legislation to state when it is eventually passed.

  16. Hey everyone,

Long time lurker of the forums. I started reading through this forum when I grew my first indoor starting in November 2018. Shout out to the homies at GTHydro that sorted me out on some nice Black/Green Friday deals. I'd also like to shout out hydroponic.co.za, Grow Guru and Hydro Herb Africa. I decided early on not to buy all my stuff at one place and I am immensely stoked at the quality of service from all the mentioned outlets.

I've tried another local forum that has a few marijuana consumption/growing topics but I wasn't getting the vibe I was looking for and I didn't want to put in effort into that forum community if it wasn't going to grow and reciprocate.

So here I am, looking for like-minded people with a love for the herb. I am eager to learn more on growing this wonderful plant, and I look forward to sharing the experience with the people here 🤓
