  1. Eishh that sounds hectic, good to harvest in batches.
High veld is good, nice and dry, cause I see the guys in the Cape are struggling.
    Hope they smoke well.

  2. Hey@Gnome,

How's the trimming going dude, that's a lot of loaded branches. Hope you don't get clipper blisters, after 3-4hrs of trimming you feel it in the hands hahaha....
Any issues with curing, seems winter mould is becoming a problem.

  3. I forgot to mention that Rudaralis is usually high in CBD lower in THC.
Its easy enough to buy some breeding stock to get started with a CBD line, breeding from a landrace is a massive commitment (and loads of $$ testing), hopefully one day. :-puffin
The breeding has allready started... will see what the 2nd gen. delivers.
How deep does the rabbithole go???

  4. That is a decent list dude... thanks.
Yeah...you gonna have to grow it and test it yourself- because of proprietary info most of the breeders won't share that info easily.
It's a lot of commitment, physical and economical if you're doing it by yourself.

I'm running mostly sativa strains due to the heat and high RH in summer. Dont know if Indica dominant strains will handle our summers - 30deg nights, 42deg days 80 to 90%RH.
The idea is a perpetual outdoor grow Sativa during summer, Indica for winter.
Matching my strains to the weather.

  5. I think there will be a lot more testing done on our local strains in the future and surely some good CBD strains will be found in certain locations. The original DurbanPoison has only trace amounts of CBD, but not sure about the rest.
Swazi Gold the original is also quite hard to find since all the skunk influence in Swazi, those beans will always be worth gold. :-rolled
Finding pure land race strains would most likely entail travelling to the country of origin and personally collecting the seeds to ensure tracibility.
Are there sativa strains with notible CBD content? I'd be interested.

i give my plants seed sprout teas now and it works great
Ok, so you don't make tea's or extracts from chicken poop at all. Only into the compost?

  8. Rather just brew AACt's

Aact's is basically what I am making
They've just got a few more ingredients
    Howzit@Gnome
Any feedback wrt the chicken shit tea,
    positive results?
I'm growing outdoor organic, was just wondering if the CST is worth looking into.
    Cheers

  9. Hello Shaun,
To add to @Totemics observation, what is in the pot? Seems like a lot of bark, cannabis does not like too much bark.

  10. I have a relatively broad knowledge base regarding organics,macro/micro nutrients, rhizosphere ect...

But I've haven't heard of AACT and the active inoculations before and their benefits as mentioned on this forum.

Holy crap...what a difference it makes guys and girls...

And proof is in the pudding...

We harvested our last lady and it looked good she put on good weight and filled out beyond expectations.

    But I was surprized.

All told 178gr dried and trimmed from a lady that stood 1.5m tall in a PEP 20lt carrier bag.

This forum is beyond cool, thanks for adding to my knowledge of flora and a better insight into those ''little things''.

Feed your soil is all I can say.

    Keep it going.

    Go 420SA

  11. Sounds like they are ''guinea pigging'' a system.

If you think about it...(and the more you think about it the effed up it sounds)
What doctor(cause you need to see the doc to get the script-schedule 4)
is going to write a prescription for a cbd treatment that doesn't treat ''any specific condition'' only for ''general health benefits''
Consultation fee of around R500+cost of meds that will have little or no effect at that dosage???

Think I will self medicate and watch that space...puff, puff...

  12. Well schedule 4 isn't exactly anyone. You need to be a pharmacist to dispense, and a medical Dr to prescribe. Why schedule 4 though. I bet Borstol cough syrup is more toxic than CBD.
Read a similar article regarding the cbd scheduling. But it mentioned the dosages will be max only 20mg, which was quoted as being only ''micro dosages''. Other studies found that in most instances cbd is only effective in dosages of 200mg and higher.

  13. If you read further into the application.... no employee may smoke cannabis, no criminal records. Regular drug tests must be conducted....

You are not allowed to even test your own product....wtf???

  14. Interesting post about this topic:
    https://fieldsofgreenforall.org.za/do-you-still-want-a-license-to-grow-cannabis/
Could you please provide info on these people allowed to export? I haven’t heard about this.
    Howzit good people.

CDCSA does not issue licenses, you register with them, registration is R1500/jear. Gets you access to their network basically and legal representation.
They do include commercial applications in their docs which I don't feel comfortable filling out as they want ALL your details and info.

Export licenses are a completely different ballgame. Licences are issued via the MCC, Mendicines Council of SA. The amount of paperwork and fees are quite astronomical. Estimates I researched are between 3 to 5 bar(six zero's)
According to the articles below it seems they are not quite playing fair, I don't think it's as easy as they say - talk is cheap.
Google is your friend here -use it.
