    Some insects lay their eggs in a type of protective foam that looks very similar to that.

    If it looks vegetarian, it's got no business near my plants.

    Sorry for causing a fuss I'm just trying to do the best thing for the plants I don't mind buying water if I need too I just don't know what water to get o.r water or distilled 
    Distilled water is not good for plants. I believe if you use tap water you should be good, if the chlorine is a problem let it stand for a day.

    Looking nice [mention=1803]Bospatrollie2[/mention] , those three finger leaves happen from time to time, usually out of some plant that is reveging (for me), as well as later stages of bud formation the plant does not make any more big bladed leaves, I would say its normal. 
    The only way to tell if she is a rudaralis baby is to grow her under 18 hours light, or in spring, if she buds, its a auto, not impossible with the amount of autos being grown these days.
    If its a Cheesy Mango flavour after cured could be some MangoSkunk, enjoy the fruits! :-peace

    She came from bagseed so it's very difficult to id her original genetics. I'm not worried too much, mother nature provides.
    Just going to have to find the patience to dry and cure her properly.... Eishhhh.
    Will keep the mango skunk in mind.

    Unintended consequences

    Evening all.
    All told she finally delivered 78gr dried and cured. Did find a couple of seeded buds yielding about 40 seeds.

    She smokes very well, smooth and sweet and almost none of the ''cannabis smell''
    We harvested ''later'',lots of amber thrichs with CBD in mind to aid relaxation and sleep. Before bed with coffee...awesome.

    Evening 420's
    Harvested our funky pheno dubbed ''mango kush'' today. Trichs looked good mostly cloudy with some amber.

    Left the branch with the pollenated buds on in an effort to let them ripen properly and if I am very lucky she might reveg through winter.

    The sweet mango aromas are driving us nuts.

    i went to one in pta prices are meh from 20 to 200 a g
    but the black market is still cheaper
    Yeah it depends what you're prepared to spend. Isn't that why we're growing our own- with a little bit of effort you can smoke top class bud at a fraction of the price. And we know exactly where it comes from and what is in it.

    Got the lady pregnant. Going to experiment with a bit of breeding. The leaf to bud ratio seems good, the developing buds and main cola are dense with good resin production. The scent of mangoes in the morning are awesome. The possibilities are too tempting.

    Neem oil

    If you're into cannabis juicing and using the plant as a whole then perhaps its best to find an alternative to neem just to be on the safe side.

    I've read up on the possible benefits of using peppermint and rosemary essential oils as pesticide sprays. Something you can make at home as well. They smell way better too

    Organic miticides can be mixed at home using essential oils. Peppermint, rosemary and citronella are recommended and seem quite effective. I'm testing a peppermint oil mix on spidermite.

     

    3 liters water

    30 drops peppermint oil

    2 tb spoons cooking oil

    2 tb spoons soft soap

     

    During flowering the options become limited. I wouldn't spray anything on my buds , just not sure what residues will remain.

    Out doors. Meant to mention the fact that only 13 was selected to grow out. Lost a few to hermi, 1 male, 1 crushed and 1stolen. Got to harvest 5 in the end. Had to harvest early due to bud worms, pm and "Budrites". Got some decent stuff for myself at least till next season. Bag seed helps when you still learning..

    Ok I get your thinking, went the same way but on a smaller scale. Downside of bagseed- males and hermies. Out of 30 seedlings...5 males and 1 hermie. Suspect my LST and topping might induce 1 or 2 more hermies. But my next gen is allready popping, 4x DP and 10x swazi.
    Going to grow through winter with supplemental lighting.

    Yeah, I hear you on the companion planting. My outdoor grow area was chosen for its sunny position and away from prying eyes. I've decided to selectively introduce companion plants(tomatoes, basil and squash) to create a mini 'biosphere', hopefully attracting some beneficial insects to try and keep the bad critters in check.

    I'll be stoked if I get more than 50g dry weight off my 1st swazi lady. Harvested the last buds and main colas 6 days ago- still drying- high ambient rh here. But then again I'm growing outdoor.

    Afternoon all.

    Planting all kinds alongside my Swazi.
    Got some palermo sweet pepper seedlings on the go.
    Have a green ,yellow and orange tamato forest in the front garden, some plants nearly 1.5m tall. They dig the compost teas that I use on the swazi. Sweet potatoes and strawberries running underneath. Basil, rosemary and catnip dotted in between to keep the bugs away.
    Managed to germinate some passionfruit a while ago, trelissed the vine and it's bearing good fruit now.
    Keeps me busy and out of trouble.

    Been battling red spidermites for a week now. Blasting them with soap and epson, now trying soap, oil and peppermint oil. Luckily the spider mite are sticking to the tomatoes so far and staying away from my swazi girls.

    What works for you guys?

    Germinating Seeds - Your Bullet Proof Method

    My method is quite similar.
    Soak the beans in dechlorinated water in a shotglass for 12hrs to soften up. Then transfer onto round cotton facepads and place 2nd pad on top to cover. Taking care not to mix different strains-label them. Keep them moist and warm ishh for 2 to 3 days in a dark area.
    Once the tap root emerges 5-10mm
    I transplant to prepared seedling trays
    (tap root down) with my own compost and riversandsand mix. Once 4 leaves emerge I transfer to forever pots.

    If the seeds don't germinate in the 2 to 3 days I don't discard them. I transfer them to a separate pot of soil in a last ditch effort. Had quite a few beans surprize me that way.

    Our choices were between local grown seeded, prematurely harvested lowgrade and some ok-ishh ,bonedry ''imported'' weed.

    Growing our own has shot that to s##t, the homegrown bud beats it hands down. Aroma, flavour and potency. Properly cured it's just better. I'll never go back now. Currently puffing Swazi gold and DP. 904a1172cd8994f5025cd820bec0490c.jpg
