1. Evening 420sa

I seem to have found a interesting phenotype in my bagseed batch.

It grew and started flowering quick and has a different leaf structure. 3 point main leaf. Buds are real pungent and fruity. The interweb research suggests there might be some Ruderalis coming through.

What are your thoughts on a bit of breeding? 884707cccc1dcc5a9ba680d31f048c86.jpg6b60aff3bb8cfe008dfe79f9757c9bba.jpgbe2e242d86422ce8735bafecc4314327.jpg1bf32207c9f7eb3d51c03ebd085719a8.jpg

2. Evening good ppl- bit of an update.
Did a bit of harvesting pruning and curing. My swazi lady yielded 23g cured so far. Expecting a bit more from the main colas which I'm chopping tomorrow. It's not huge but it's a good start.

3. Big mama is doing well, but not quite there yet. I know it's late in the season, but she is soo close I don't want to stuff it up by harvesting early. 1st 2 pics trichs too clear.

Started the winter outdoor grow as an experiment. Extending daylight with artificial light. We have very mild winters, so we'll see how they perform. 3rd pic.587be3631c01b839d6775f735cfbf275.jpg9536d3b00b8872072b439f0dc83adb0d.jpg34fa083957062ca4b69adab845c49ee0.jpg

5. Howzit lekke ppl,

I always seem to be growing something, as can be seen from the 'other' herbs.
Had some swazi bagseed germinate between the basil and chillis in Spring 2018 and voila.

Largest remaining female now bearing decent heads, especially as she's in very sandy soil and does not recieve enough sun. Top dressed with my own compost and stuck to seagrow once a week, finishing her off with molasses to fatten up a bit.

1st pic Dec 18(let's see what happens)
2nd pic Feb19(almost 2m tall)
3&4 heads (smelling awesome)

Now about 1 or 2 weeks away from harvest, checking every day.
Won battles against aphids, worms and spidermites. Happy to say they all died horrible deaths...ha,ha,ha.

Had to brush up on a lot of stuff from nutes (organic and chem) to adjusting water ph and fighting all the goggas.
Glad I joined this forum, learnt a lot. Thanks a million guys and gals.

Gonna do a larger scale outdoor grow.
Babies allready germinated, will post pics soon.
Cheers vir eers

6. Morning, interesting read this thread.

I've met Bobby and attended one of his talks. He's just a normal guy that believes in this plant and all its different uses. He's out there doing his thing and it seems to be working. He's pushing for registration with the Cannabis development Council of SA. Government doesn't know effall about the cannabis industry and they don't really want to. All they care about is money/taxes.
The industry must get to the point where it can self regulate and control, but who is going to do it???
We have to...the growers/buyers/smokers.. the knowlegable people(us) that can spot these shady characters from a mile away. Who better to distinguish between good quality homegrown herb and the rubbish majat these other dodgy mofo's are trying to sell.
I'd rather join the CDCSA and have a say in how this is going to pan out, than sneak around like a skelm looking over my shoulder the whole time.
In this ''window'' of opportuinity the regulations for this new industry must be defined and written.
Otherwise cannabis is going to remain underground.

7. Gnome benzene is carcinogenic and properly toxic. Unless you're 100% sure that your purging process leaves not a single trace of residual solvent, using benzene is seriously risky. As far as I'm aware it's almost impossible to get rid of all residual solvents using basic purging methods.
Especially for people starting out, its best to stick with food grade ethanol as its safe for consumption. Not denatured, food grade. It's more expensive than the other solvents but we're trying make meds here so there shouldn't be a compromise IMO...
I agree with the sentiment to not use benzine. It's a proven carcinogen. The vapour and liquid can penetrate the skin on contact. Nevermind its extreme volatility that will cause explosive atmospheres.
Download an msds from the net. Know the stuff you work with. Be safe.

8. Howzit all,
Looking forward to gaining and sharing knowledge and experience about cultivating this green weed called cannabis.
Always been growing just about anything, not just cannabis-green fingers they say...
Currently have several Swazi ladies outdoors. Prefer organic, but also keen to experiment with hydroponics.
