  1. I've seen guano destroy plants quickly, very very hot stuff. If I use it I use it very sparingly. Odd that your castings smelt, are they staying too wet?
  2. If the bred seeds are from GSR then I'd say they aren't actually bred genes LOL, dunno where they get their shit from but they aren't well bred. Most of my seeds from GSR never even cracked and the one that did grew into a beautiful strong Male... Fem seeds..
  3. @CerealKiller yup that's 10 liters but soon I'll be mixing 20l at a time
  4. I've just started using Nutriplex and I'm doing 2-2-2 as my clones are only 2 weeks old, next week going to bump up to 3-3-3 which is recommended dosage for babies. From what I have heard you can actually go above recommended dosage without any issues, especially during flower. My plan is to feed with cal-mag and nutriplex for 2 waterings then the 3rd watering plain ph'd water to get rid of salts. Does anybody know if its possible for plants to overdose on calmag??
  5. Hi Guys I have a couple of plants that are not doing what they are supposed to LOL They aren't really sick as they are growing perfectly and they aren't showing any signs of being unhappy. I run a 1000 watt has which is super bright, I'm thinking it's bleaching as a deficiency or lock out would actually make the plant look sick. Thus far I have no crispy leaf edges, no dying leaves, nothing. Just this colouring which in some places has actually gone white! Grown in organic living soil which I have never had an issue with before. The problem started 3 days into flower. Let me know what you all think! Peace.
  6. Cool man. Also what I do with living soil is get some kraal manure, mix it 50/50 with perlite and put a 2cm layer at the base of the pot so the roots can grow into it, it's quite rich so really just a 2cm layer at the base. I also sprinkle a tea spoon of sea bird guano but it's very potent so go easy on it. Up top I do a thick top dress layer with earth worm castings, a table spoon of powdered kelp meal, a bit of compost and a layer of alfalfa meal right on top. With that combo you'll need very little in terms of bottled nutes, just good old H2o
  7. Damn that's a pity man, but hopefully you still salvage some to keep your personal stash going a while. I noticed you mentioned Bio Bizz, awesome stuff but if you are using the JG living soil mix you won't need any nutes, at least for a good few weeks. Once flowering starts you may want to add some but for veg you'll be just fine on plain water. The Bio Bizz stuff is going up quickly on price but it's really great stuff.
  8. Such beautiful colours, definitely POTM worthy
  9. Trailblazer that plant is beast, looks stunning! So Green Smoke Room can deliver the goods sometimes...
  10. Wow it really looks great Toby. Sorry if I am being lazy, maybe you have mentioned it but what size is that tent and what wattage lighting are you using? With LED, unless you go really really top end I think HID still cleans up.... but that's a topic all on it's own haha.
  11. Interesting graph, thanks. Looks like the pond stuff has most of it in. I went ahead and ordered some EM Pro Soil.... its R105 a bottle if I remember correctly off the top of my head. Hoping it arrives soon so I can put it to the test.
  12. 10 policemen... clearly a "hardened" criminal. What a waste of tax payers money praying on a soft target.
  13. Sorry to hijack the thread but have any of you used EM Pro Soil? Kim I noticed you mentioned it and I went onto their site, looks fantastic. Do you use it to globally inoculate your organic soil mix while it cooks or is it used as a soil drench or foliar to add microbes?
  14. Looking fantastic Toby, so that is flowering under 6 hours of light and 18 off?
  15. That cola on the left is boss! Looks great man nice going.
  16. Awesome man, no problem. With a bit of luck you have flattened them for good. If its the red spider mites they are weaker than the 2 spotted kind so maybe the neem was enough to do the job. The kingbo isn't the cheapest, think about R120 for 250ml if I can remember correctly but you only use 2ml per litre so it lasts forever. All the best!
  17. Looking fantastic! Would love to take a look at that soil recipe as well if you are keen on sharing. That net is going to be super full once you change to flower.
  18. Hey Sir Smokealot. The trick with spider mites is to keep hitting them over and over again. Their eggs take 3 days to hatch and not long after that they are sexually mature and able to breed. A single mite under good conditions can lead to 1 million mites within a month, they are real little fucks! When most guys spray they do it once off which kills the mites but not always all the eggs, 3 days later all their eggs hatch and then you go straight back to step 1. The bastards also build up a tolerance to what you use so it's always a good idea to hit them with a range of different things. So basically hit them every 2-3 days for at least 4 cycles (12 Days) This will kill them off before they can hatch and lay more eggs. Also hit them with different things, Neem is cool but is more a preventative. Pyrol definitely works but as admin said above, start on low strength first as it burns your leaves and turns them to leather. I recently got a new product from Jamie's Garden shop called Kingo, also totally organic. It's safe using it quite far into flower with no problems at all, doesn't leave any taste in the bud like neem will. Currently I spray Neem and Kingbo in veg at least twice a week, alternating between the 2. In flower if I pick up problems I'll spray Kingbo every 3 days. (in very early flower I'll spray neem but not more than 3 weeks in) I have used Pyrol but that was in a crisis where I needed to kill everything fast. I generally keep a handle on them so that I don't have to resort to that. Late in flower I learnt a trick from GLO, take a sponge with warm water and actually wipe the leaves down. This is heavy time consuming and frustrating but it keeps them in check if you can do it at least once a week. I used to freak out completely when I saw spider mites and I still hate the things but I have found that they can be managed if you regularly make an effort to keep making their lives as unpleasant as possible.

    Cheese

Looks great man! Nice and frosty. What weight did you pull out there? And was it flowered with 400w as well? Nice grow.
  20. Sorry I'm hijacking this thread but does anybody have experience with eye blue metal halides that the Rev claims he uses through veg and flower? According to him you get better quality and coloured flowers. Not sure about yield though.
  21. Interesting, GLO do you maybe have a link or has anyone on this thread successfully imported the Lumatek lamps? If so which company did you import from, how long did postage take etc? Every extra bit helps hey, I think it's worth the money. Cheers
  22. Hmm I sure hope their database was safe and hasn't actually been confiscated. Police would have a field day seeing who ordered what and where it was delivered ..... I bought about 7 seeds from them early 2014 before I realised they sold me a male as a fem... luckily I have moved since then but still a bit worrying.
  23. I've been so tempted to try this, especially in flower as that's where I use the most power. The veg cycle looks interesting, only thing that may be a problem in this country is when we start having irregular power outages. Missing a couple of lights on times and your veg room may be in trouble. Although I'm sure if Eskom starts fucking around you an just re-adjust and go back to 18/6 for veg.
