How much longer you think these plants will go. Misty mornings are back that hang around till 10am and I spotted the first sign of bud rot. Humph!

Looking back on your log I guess Flowering started mid to end March. They should be ready now, maybe a week more... Check the trichs

Seeds can drown.... plate them, they are moist... let em breathe.

Yeah and they can drown quickly too.

These seeds are fresh. Temps are just a bit low after this weather we've had, and I expect everyone's seeds to be above ground within the next 5 days.

Hopefully you can see what I was aiming for, I managed to run my whole setup off one plug. All wiring goes from my "control board" into the tent through the one vent, then into some electrical piping, then out just above the fan and to the desired devices. Never mind my lady frame sunnies, it works piele under the LED's 😂

  4. Ran well over 100 of these through last winter outdoors, and the generation expressed very uniform, and powered through the winter, showing a strong resistance to PM. The reveg on the selected phenos didn't go as planned, so doing an indoor selection run this year.

    Here we go...

Thank you for that feedback, your plants look insane!  Yes the Pistols are starting to dry out nicely now.  Just keeping an eye on the Trichomes, milky at the moment, will put over to 48 hours darkness once they start going amper.  Cant wait to smoke these ladies!

The trichomes that you want to go milky have only just started forming. At least another month before she will be ready to harvest.

You're going to want all those calyxes to swell and the pistils virtually dissappear due to the flower swell.

never grew that strain... you have us newbies some hints regarding feeding? They are more hungry, not so or rather normal? Looking very much forward to dip into your genetics 😊

They are pretty normal feeders. The gelato comes through quite dominant, and you won't go wrong treating them like other Gelato lines

  7. Nope. Not risky or worthless seeds at all. If I like a female I can reverse her, look for a better pheno of her, and reintroduce to a breeding project.

It becomes an issue if you keep selfing generation after generation.

Also doesn't need to be onto other plants for stability etc.

If your fem generation from a self is riddled with hermies etc, it was riddled with that before you reversed her.

Genetic diversity doesn't even enter my mind of thought when making fem seeds. Only when I work with regular lines. It's breeding for 2 entirety different goals. Regulars for diversity, fem for finish product

  8. So I enjoyed working with the Slurricane cut last year, and my small sample grow of the chocolate Gelato x Slurricane gave me really good phenos. Made me decide to do another run and hunt out a few male and female phenos to push the F2 generation. Going to be running them in a mix of 1l to 5l pots, FF premium, and Biobizz.

  9. Yes. Yes. Yes. This has been part of my whole mission all along. To get more people interested in giving the plant a gap to evolve!

Straight up...the likelyhood of good progeny from previously known/worked genetics is high. It starts becoming less successful when you start trying to use our land races.

The thing about breeding, even if only to produce more seeds, is the chance at another generation, and another chance at improvement.

Cannabis has evolved to such a point that its no longer just about the highest cannabinoid content. The relaxing of laws has changed breeding into a terpene hunt. The louder the better nowadays. In short, there is space for all kinds of cannabis, to suit all kinds of tastes.

  10. It does feel to me that they are still asleep at the wheel.

This document treats our pre existing cannabis economy that's been developing faster than a wildfire asif it simply doesn't exist yet.

They also seem to be quite clueless as to where our seeds are coming from...apparently the 1000 plus breeders across the globe don't know what they are doing...

I can see the next chapter in the SA cannabis industry remaining a largely underground one:poke
