Hello everyone
im visiting mpumalanga next month and looking for 420.
Dies anyone know of any dispensaries there? It seems the one on suikerrat st closed up about a year ago?Depends what kinda dispensary you're looking for. Obviously selling cannabis from a public outlet is illegal so this forum probably isn't the best avenue for such a question

It's a good soil. Can't go wrong with it. Been around for quite some time now.
Have a chat to them about feeding regimes etc.

Good morning all
As per subject. Just out of interest as i have both. Any pros and cons of each?
Not sure about Potassium Phosphate but Calcium Carbonate is very hard to get into solution. Without using acid or letting it dissolve in soda water for a few days it's next to impossible to dissolve in pure water. If potassium phosphate is easier to get into solution I would say use that.

@iGrowDagga @Ill_Evan Howzit guys
Grow diaries have been hidden from guests for years now before growing became decriminalised actually lol. Never crossed my mind to change that and @iGrowDagga is the first to raise the concern since.
Of course, there is no need to keep it hidden anymore so I've made the grow diaries public now

Got a small bar fridge or chest freezer sitting anywhere? Pumping cool liquid through a copper or stainless coil submersed in your reservoir water would chill it nicely. To get that liquid cool you basically hold a 15-20L bucket of water in a fridge with a pump inside the bucket circulating the water from the bucket through the coil in the reservoir and back out into the bucket. You'd obviously need to drill holes in the fridge door or whatever. You may hit a refrigerant line if you drill in the side of the fridge so be mindful of that.
You'd need a temp controller like a STC-1000 to maintain the reservoir temp by switching the pump in the fridge on and off.
Sounds a bit overkill but it will work and a fairly straight forward project if you don't mind a bit of DIY. Another very effective option is converting a 2nd hand portable AC into a water chiller, also controlled by a temp controller. Something I have done with good success but that seems a bit overkill when you only need to chill to 20 C.
I'm in a line of work that involves a lot of liquid chilling and temp control so more than happy to elaborate on anything further for you

What's the chances of doing another competition? Sure it was much painstaking work and tediously annoying organization. Not to mention getting all the willing sponsors involved etc.etc.
So understandable if not, but you gotta ask and see...
The forum was jumping with the last one.
It's never off the cards bud but will have to make a call around January next year if we look at getting the indoor growoff going in the autumn. Unfortunately our good friend Totemic will not be able to front seeds for it as he closed shop but there are 1 or two other options we could look at in terms of a genetics sponsor. Unless of course @Totemic dusts off the pollen and gets a batch of beans ready for us come the time.
Please do bring this up in January again though and we'll see how things stand then. Sorry I couldn't put forward anything more promising right now

See these canisters? The above quote makes me think these are large bottles of butane. Alternatively it could be CO2.
Those are CO2 bottles. Well at least the one on the right is, from Mygas.

How to enter?
Simply reply to this thread with your entries. You can attach the images to your reply or embed the images
Competition rules:
- Each member can enter a maximum of 3 different plants
- In order to ensure authenticity you are required to take a picture of your plant with the date and your username or name, handwritten or printed onto a piece of paper or whatever you choose. It is important that the tag with your username and date is tangible (can be touched). No digital watermark tags will be accepted. This is to ensure that your plant's photo was taken during this month.
- Photos of plants MUST NOT be taken under HPS lights or multi coloured LED lights. The prevents the plant's colour's from being judged correctly. Photographing them with a flash at night or under natural light such as the sun, or in a well lit room will do fine.
- Please post a photo of the whole plant in at least one image please. Plants cannot be judged on a single cola
- Members may post as many updated photos of the same plant as they want but the images must always contain the tag.
- Should the date and name tag hinder you from taking a decent photo you may post another photo of the same plant, without the tag, along with your tagged photo on the same date.
- Once entries close, the moderators will select 10 nominees. The nominated plants will then be judged by our competition voting panel who will vote for the winner.
May the best plant win
GOOD LUCK!

Hey guys
The number of entries in our past few SOTM's have been disappointing... so perhaps we should have a look at running our Plant Of The Month competition again. How do you guys feel about that?
Or perhaps something entirely different?
Please let me know with your vote in the poll or please reply to this thread with your comments and/or suggestions.
The poll options are as follows:
- I'm keen for a POTM, I have plants going at the moment and will enter the March POTM
- I would prefer we continue with SOTM
- I would prefer we continue with SOTM but would like the management of the competitions to be more structured.
- I'd like something something completely different
- The standard of prizes at the moment is not enough motivation for me to enter
I'm of course fully conscious of the fact that at times my running of the comp has been far short of professional. With late winner announcements etc. If this puts you off entering comps please do let me know as well and I will do my best to find a way to run these comps smoother
Cheers

Lights off environment
in Indoor Growing
Posted
Depends where you live with regards to temp. With our climate in general there's no need to worry but if you stay in a place where temps get very low in winter for example then keeping the temp to around 15 to 20C would be good during lights off. As far as RH is concerned you don't want it to go over 70% ever, if you can, during veg. I would stick closer to 60% as powdery mildew becomes a risk, especially in the colder months. During late flower you want to stay around 40-50%. Rules don't change during lights off
